There's only two situations you have to give up your identity involuntarily. When you're operating a vehicle on a public highway and when you've been arrested. Anonymity is a human right in this country. Also, the bloke with his drone operator copper mate is talking shite as well. Police policy is not to engage with a drone pilot until he's brought the drone in as it is against the law to disturb a pilot when flying an aircraft.
Drone Bingo: Bonded Warehouse ✅️ Flight License ✅️ Drone Expert (on phone) ✅️ give Drone ID ✅️ not filming a public place ✅️ bring the drone down ✅️ not public over our building ✅️ my house ✅️
It's all about the interaction with clueless individuals and sadly clueless police. If people just ignored them (Auditors) they'd go away. By the way I'm all for auditing, it's much like your employer using mystery travellers or shoppers.
you are wrong..... air navigation order 2022..police can ask for proof of competency, check weight of the drone and ID just like when you get pulled over while driving a car....its a common misunderstanding and interpretation of the section...
@@shutterupphotography295 Only under certain criteria if the drone needs to be certified for that criteria, it's not a requirement for the sub 250g drones for the pilot to have undergone any competency training and does not have to show a flyer ID as it isn't needed and only show the operator ID is on the drone.
@@shutterupphotography295 . They need to have a good reason to pull a driver over ... i.e. A traffic infraction... . They can't demand details just because ...

With a sub 250g drone you can can fly very close to industrial units. There is NO minimum height or distance from buildings OR people with that type of drone, the 150m rule is for heavier drones, unless the pilot has extra qualifications that allow shorter distances. So NOT breaking CAA rules!
@@mavicmeister29 I'm very well aware of the regulations choom, I'm a drone pilot. It needs to be established that the drone is sub 250g for a start. It's also got a camera so you HAVE to have an Operator ID which the police are well within their rights to ask you for. Another thing to add, if this guy is making money of his RU-vid channel, is he insured? Another thing the police are well within their powers to check. DJI pilots like you and the knob end in the video are the exact reason why my hobby is getting harder to fly legally. You're the reason why every drone will need to have Remote ID.
@@Stubbino The 'DJI pilots like you', etc. comment was uncalled for. My comment was purely to correct the assumption that the pilot in question was breaking the 150m rule as stated. I do NOT approve of irresponsible pilots who break the rules, and I cast no aspersions upon the pilot in this video. I am a holder of the A2CofC and also Article 16 Exemption, and have been flying drones for 9yrs. I get what you say about our hobby being slowly hampered by the CAA, and I too am disillusioned by what's happening, mainly due to pilots who flout the rules. (never heard the word "choom" before!)
Regarding the smiling/smug guy who asked for your details & “if you get a kick out of it”…. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure he could be a moron? There’s often one who thinks he knows a thing or two about the drone laws, cos his mate has told him there’s something called a flight id etc (actually a flyer’s ID 😂) You stayed calm throughout tho and stayed extremely polite too 😀👍 Regards Steve
i woudnt educate them they are giving such rubbish tell them to check themselves shows how ignorant they are if you come back we will be out again good vid
I think He may have been warping the truth there about you NEEDING to show documents or him being told he NEEDED to see them (more like he should request them from you without obligation). Which to me, isn't great for him or his company Integrity wise!
Who the F does he think he is , the police asking for your licence ? He has absloutely no power to tell you anything . Don't talk to them , especialy if he walks off on the phone .
*If it's a RU-vid channel it's a business* No, what I am doing now is not a business. RU-vid pays me NOTHING for the content I put up. I get paid for the number of viewers it brings in, BUT NOT THE CONTENT they view.
@@CattusHorribibis re : "That actually DOESN'T make ANY sense [TO ME] dude." A guy who stands outside a strip club hawking (encouraging) people into the joint Is not a stripper and does not work at a strip club, neither do they care what he says (within reason). The club pays him for asses on seats. What he does to get them in is not the business it's the getting them interested that is. (not a great analogy but still one)
Totally rude asking for details and whilst your explaining walks off on the phone, I would not talk to him ignore him, then comes the house BS again, clown and if police told him that then their clowns also most likely spoke to call handler
I don't agree , I have no problem as long as people are operating within the law, and that is it , as when they do that , anyone that interferes with them are the ones in the wrong .
@@A2Z1Two3 so if this happened to a close friend or relative of yours at work you would be ok with them being made fun of on the Internet without them knowing?
