TTT2 was a nightmare, people who started in T7 don't have any idea to which point was hard and unfair... it's hard enough to know the matchup for one character, imagine you need to keep your brain active for two different matchups per match. There were so many characters, and practically all of them had cheap strategies. The learning curve was extremelly hard for that game. But was really satisfaying to land those combos, that I must say.
Do a whole noctis session doing orra saying "I can do atteck!" Bring back those old sayings man this brought a smile to me after not seeing it for so long. Masku!
I remember it. Years ago. One night I was about to go to sleep and decided to play Tag 2. 30 minutes later, I am wide awake, seething with rage. Tekken Tag 2 made me so angry, I ended up quitting and didn't touch Tekken again until T7 came out. Even when T7 dropped, I was very hesitant to buy it because of Tag 2.
TYRANNICAL t7 made me drop it cause it's boringly easy. Tag 2 was angry as hell, took me forever to get genbu. Punched walls and every got damn thing lol but I prefer that over buns gameplay
Yes but the thing i dont understand is,why would you even compare tag 2 with tekken 7 lmao?tag 2 is a spinnof game and lets you use 2 characters so thats why is unbalanced and tekken 7 is a mainstory game that lets u use only one character.so if anything you should have compared tekken 7 with 6
@@Apostolis444 Tekken 6 has worse netcode than Tekken Tag 2. And just because it has 1v1 only doesn't matter. Tekken 4 also had 1v1. Hell, look at Tekken 7 now. Who in Tekken Tag 2 or Tekken 6 is as bad as Leroy and Fahkumram? Was even vanilla T6 Kazuya that strong?
TTT2 went like this: you slip up once, you're done for. Did anyone else feel like they were completely worthless because they lost so much when they thought they shouldnt have? TTT2 made me feel embarassed at times! I'd wake up the next morning feeling like trash because of my defeats!
MastaKilla63 but man that game made me a monster in every other game I played. Every fighter became so easy to get good at after tag 2 but t7 is garbage worst thing to happen to tekken
I think TT2 did suck and would make anyone salty. But what I noticed in general, especially in the last couple of years...TMM definitely changed his attitude to how he played the game. I think Adrian mentioned it in a stream once, that rather than blame the other player for being scrubby; learn from them to become better. Learn what they are doing is making you lose. Then use that against them. Try to learn something from every fight. That rubbed off on me very well also. Rather than get mad, I'd get even. It's a much better mindset to have. It's quite beautiful. Even in recent streams, TMM is like "Good punish" "Great step" etc. Respect your opponent. It's quite the journey. Although salt is funny, I miss it sometimes.
Ttt2 still my all time favourite because of the amount of new things to learn in it compared to the 1v1 tekkens like t7...and yes I agree ttt2 was a shit fest but still
GG I remembered when I was a noob at tekken tag team tournament I would always go to some arcade with tekken machines than someone would beat my ass with capos and Lars mains
CapitalJ2 t7 is too easy to get good at. One of my students from tag 2 who took a year to hit brawler got mighty ruler on PC and I was just so disappointed at where tekken has gone.
This is the video where I first saw you.(This and that LTG "Strings" song) I thought you were a funny, arrogant vidiot! Luckily I checked your channel out and saw how actually cool you are. I envy you guys who are able to juggle a family, a career (or in your case law school), and still have a major footprint in the FGC. What's your secret?
Self Made -J Tekken people still play it on Xbox one so I play it sometimes but it's not the same as it was up until t7 release. Those were ANGRY but great times lol
@@blankblank1257 I definetly get what you mean, I recently got T7 and I understand that feeling. Let's see whether or not I'll like it, until now it seems fine since it is still a new experience
Classic MainMan(A.k.a. MitsuGTO885) streams were the funniest fucking TTT2 streams on RU-vid. Any new fans, I implore you to cycle through some of his old stuff and see just how hellish and frustrating TTT2 and Tekken Revolution were.
Tekken 6 never had me rage quit but Tag 2 I broke things so bad I had to hide the disc from myself. T7 also frustrates me tbh. I feel Tekken 3 and 4 was the most joy I felt playing, e-sports sort of ruined the fun of tekken for me.
I remember Tag 2 it was a nightmare on Tag 2 I think I was only Master or Grand Master Better like 1v1 on Revolution I was Pugilist Now on T7 I'm Warrior Hate Tag 2 online
NegaArson tag 2 took skill, it felt like Everytime you learned something you progressed but it was very slow. T7 is made for casuals, I hit orange ranks in a few days and left after just coming back to it. It's way to got damn easy man, tag 2 green ranks would be orange ranks. I use to go 100-0 with Jin and Lars when starting a new account and it was cause of 3 years of harsh training and punishment in the competitive community with tournament players and so fourth. Venom and Limitless were my sparring buddies back in the day on Xbox one. When you seen a high rank it was scary even after I hit red ranks. Now I in t7 you can causally smack a tekken God with noctis or hell any simple character. Nothing was simple in tag 2, people said Lars was easy but I never lost mirror matches below genbu level so it's really up to what you can do with the character which was very deep in that game. You could play tag or solo and both were viable
I miss Kazuya's old d/f+1,2. But yes, I probably broke about 5 PS3 controllers on that fuckin game. Most frustrating and depressing game ever; that said, I do miss having all the characters, just not the 2v2 mode
