Honestly it will most likely will happen one day, since the show is very popular and profitable, they're gonna be looking for ways to look more money after the seasons finish and so they may just adapt one non-spoiler IF like Wrath and see how well it goes and if it succeeded in their opinion, then you bet they will adapt every single one of them except maybe Vainglory and Lust for now

I honestly feel bad for Subaru the most here since while Greed IF and Pride IF had Subaru in a equally if not worse situation, they still had made that choice themselves even though it was a bad choice. But Gluttony IF had a memory stripped Subaru who was scared and confused as of why he was even there and despite not truly knowing anyone before reading their book of dead, he still wanted to help everyone and be the Subaru they wanted of him which led him down in a tragic and sad path alongside Shaula leaving only destruction and hopelessness wherever they went. (It's also sad that despite how he was initially excited to start life in another world free from being know as just the son of his dad he was now burdened under the expectations of "Natsuki Subaru")

What makes this even worse is knowing that even if Natsuki Subaru is able to find “Natsuki Subaru” there’s no way to undo what’s already been done. It’s too late to go back at this point.
*According to Tappei's commentary,* Subaru's hair is white due to his reading Beatrice's book. Experiencing her 400 years was overwhelming, especially after seeing his connection to her and the gravity of his actions. Subaru wasn't able to handle it. It also caused him to slam his head against the walls/floor, which was what caused him to lose most of his eyesight in one eye.
Fun fact the save point in gluttony if didnt change at all somehow his ability is connected with the fate of emilia so if he died he could back to the green room

After killing everyone at the tower and reading their books, the checkpoint likely updated whenever he died next, but he refuses to believe that that could get in the way of the real Natsuki Subaru. Either way it's depressing as fuck because even if he did get all his memories back in the end the real Natsuki Subaru cannot control fate as he wants to believe.
@Asd Fgh The reason I think his checkpoint did update is his focus on First Reunions, how he's been looking forward to things for "a very long time", and lines like surely if Natsuki Subaru could be patched together, " ---Then surely there was no doubt that he could do everything over again". Also lines like "if the patching was completed this time around" clearly show he is looping. The way I read it was that Natsuki kills people at the tower and reads their books, tries to go back because originally he just wanted to know who everyone in the tower was and how they related to him, which killing them once and returning would achieve, only to have a checkpoint after their deaths and having read their books, leaving him to delude himself that surely if he manages to get together the rest of the books all at once "Natsuki Subaru" can even fix that because he seems so amazing. It also makes sense with the way his looping works, Satella doesn't care about the wellbeing of others regarding his loops so it just makes sense that after getting through the trial of killing everyone in the tower except Echidna/Ana, the checkpoint updates. So he keeps looping from there to kill everyone that ever knew him, so he can patch together the Natsuki Subaru that will fix his undoable mistakes by changing fate. It's never explicitly said that the checkpoint updates after the deaths after the tower, but it makes a lot of sense and explains his desperate focus that he absolutely must patch together Natsuki Subaru to fix things cause otherwise he can never fix the fate that he fucked up. Cause remember, at the point in arc 6 that this diverges from Subaru doesn't trust his old self at all and only considers killing more then just Meili so he can better understand the situation so he can know his enemies and allies. He would never suddenly focus 100% on patching back together his old self that he doesn't even trust if he wasn't pushed to do so by circumstances that convinced him that Natsuki Subaru needed to come back to fix his mistakes. Of course we never can be 100% sure because just like in the Wrath route if, we never really get to see when and how he's looping just how other people see him and some inner dialogue from a particular timeline, but he's clearly looping with checkpoint updates in wrath even if it isn't shown, and it's most likely also the case here.

That's why the checkpoint updates despite the sin archbishop of gluttony having eaten Rem's name and memories placing her in a coma. Emilia is no different, regardless of what happens to her RBD cares about subaru and subaru alone. I might be wrong about this last bit because I'm not super familiar with the Sloth:If story, but I think that in the Sloth:If story all the royal election candidates except Priscilla (including Emilia) are annihilated in a battle with the White Whale, but I don't know if i'm entirely correct on that or if Sloth:If subaru's RBD even updates past where episode 18 is in the anime.

After that Emilia became ruler which is probably the witches goal. In Aganau if, Emilia is dead and subaru doesnt die for years, when he does die, he is brought back all the way to the point when emilia was alive In sloth if, when subaru eventually dies, he would go all the way back to arc 3 because emilia is dead
Creo que contrario a otros if este "Natsuki Subaru" intenta traer a su viejo yo a la gloria para resolver todos los problemas, pero eso solo lo mandará a un camino de desgracias y en la que el asesinato solo se volverá un hábito para consultar los recuerdos de la gente. Y al contrario que nosotros pensaríamos este Subaru fue aplastado por las expectativas primero de su padre en su mundo al todo el mundo tenerlo en la mira como el hijo de Natsuki Kenichi pero cuando vimos cuando fue transportado en el inicio de la historia Subaru ve esto como una oportunidad de ser el mismo pero aquí ocurre el mismo problema al ser devuelta caer con el gran peso de las expectativas a Natsuki Subaru. Lo peor de todo es que no hay vuelta atrás en todo al el pensar que Subaru podría manejar el poder del regreso de la muerte a su libertad cosa que se terminaría equivocando, cometiendo el peor error de su vida, alejándose más y más de su antiguo yo.

Due to a certain event happening in Arc 6 which ended up with "Natsuki Subaru" losing his memory. "Subaru" embarks on a "self-discovery" journey alongside a special character that has not shown up yet but is remarkably strong in order to regain his memory through following a certain ordeal in order to obtain a object from people he seems important which while may be very important and crucial to (Somewhat) regain his memory, come with a terrible cost to both himself and what he has to do to obtain it. Details: While Subaru only travels with his lone companion. He gets constant help and tips from other people with how to form a perfect plan to perform the ordeal. Subarus white hair comes from the stress of overusing the object and one of his eyes is partly blind due to hitting his head too much times due to the effects of the object however, it also allows him to get help from and speak to his "friends". Arc 6 would be Season 4 if adapted to the anime. I hope this remained vauge enough for interpretation but regardless, I highly recommend to read the web novel after Season 2 finishes it's airing since the IF Story and Arc 6 is one of the best works the author has published so far.
? This comment is two years old but i'll put a spoiler warning before my explanation anyway. SPOILERS!!! Gluttony:If Subaru, also known as Amnesiabaru in Arc 6 IS the sin archbishop of gluttony louis (or more accurately translated, Rui). Whenever the sin archbishops of gluttony use their "Eclipse" abilities as part of their authorities they begin to lose themselves and their personality, this is shown when Lye fights Ram and uses his Eclipse ability to use Rem's memories to fight her. Basically, Rui wanted to use this part of their authority to become somebody with the "perfect" life as she was not born with a body of her own. When reading subaru's memories she realizes that he remembers his own death, and learns about RBD (this is why satella shows up later in arc 6, because the sin archbishops of gluttony learned about RBD). Coming to the conclusion that Subaru is this "perfect" life, she decides to become subaru by eating his name, this is why subaru gets "amnesia". Because Subaru within this arc, is not "Natsuki Subaru". After doing this, she forgets who she is as a side-effect of the authority, and throughout the entire arc TRULY believes she is subaru. However, after torturing herself with RBD and realizing she can not handle it and it's effects, she tries to restore the true "Natsuki Subaru" by regaining "Her" memories, this is why she goes to the Library of the Dead, finds the books of Subaru's past loops, reads them and has a conversation with ACTUAL Subaru, and then it's revealed she had basically split herself in two, with one half in Subaru and the other half there at Od Logna. After subaru regains his body, Rui is incapacitated, basically neutralizing herself as a threat via trauma and becoming a child-like feral ally in arc 7. Having said all this, Gluttony Subaru IS rui, and therefore could not meet rui? Unless you mean the other half she had split herself into, in which case the "true" rui would ask if being subaru is fun or not, which "subaru" would obviously say no and have a similar breakdown that she did in arc 6, or would be entirely lost as Gluttony:If "Subaru" does not know she is rui, at all. The most fucked up arc by far. Super fucked up deaths. Then we get a new wholesome op ally and then something happens to them and god damn you Nagatsuki give her back to us. In otherwords masterpiece arc but yeah it’s dark as hell
This isn't even Subaru doing this, it's louis. Subaru is stuck in Od Lagna, and is probably just there, with nothing to do, unless of course the other louis decided to talk to him.

No. People are just confused about it. Louis split both herself and Subaru. One Louis and Subaru were left in the Corridor of Memories, while the others were left in the real world. That Louis is stuck inside this Subaru.
Instead of a glimmer of hope we got an if darker than pride and wrath put together. If you disagree with me realize how messed up killing the people who were close to you just to regain your memories to attempt to be strong and great like the “fate altering” hero you once were; never reaching that dream and losing everyone is compared to senseless murder for the sake of Emilia is and the one person who was your ally and cared about you enough to do anything for you didn’t even get a happy end along with you. Basically, Subaru loses his memories and then hunts down everyone that ever knew him so that he can get their memories of him from them, to hear about the story of the legendary Natsuki Subaru he once was, and in the future become just like he was before. The choice that led to if was Subaru reading Maylie’s book of the dead, making it so that from there he started reading everyone’s book of the dead to get back his memories

Tuve una visión, tuve una idea que haría god el arco 8 que recién empieza, sería bueno que alguien robe el retorno de la muerte de Subaru, en este arco o el arco 9, y que esa persona sea el protagonista, tipo Gohan en la saga de majin buu, algo así, y cuando empieze el arco 10 se reencuentre con Subaru, talvez la persona que le robe el retorno, pueda ser alguien de hace 400 o 500 años atrás, o algo así, sería muy bueno que cambien de prota y otra vez se reencuentren
Eso no es como sirve el retorno de la muerte. Es una autoridad, autoridades son diferentes y cambian con nuevo persona. Y solo puedes ganar una autoridad cuando matas a la persona con la autoridad.
