I confirm. Got to know Claudio Quartarone almost 10 years ago, and he was already an absolute master of the instrument. I second the comment that classifies him as one of the best guitarists in the WORLD
Honestly, I think Claudio Quartarone is one of the greatest guitarists in the world. I've been following him since 2008, the year of his recording debut, and I found myself listening to him in Italy with a friend. What strikes me is not so much his absolutely extraordinary technique and mastery of the instrument, but his music, which can reach anyone, without needing any special preparation or being part of the circle of guitar enthusiasts. Even though he is often compared to Matteo Mancuso, I believe the latter can only appeal to a certain type of audience, the guitar enthusiasts. Given that they are not only both Italian but even both Sicilian, I wonder if Claudio Quartarone has influenced Matteo Mancuso's technique. Surely Claudio invented this way of playing with classical guitar technique applied to the electric guitar, yet creating legendary music and following an absolutely personal path. Thank you for delving into such an important yet often overlooked figure in today's guitar world!
