well, in the cannon, the light dragon was there in botw too and had the mastersword since the master sword was already sent back in time so everything checks out!

@@seal7513why would a broken sword resolve a paradox? There are 2 swords throughout BotW, one sealed in the sky repairing itself inside a dragon while the other is on Hyrule sleeping, being used, or broken... One could even put forward this is why one COULD break in the first place... Because the other existed.

In one of the memories Rauru suggests to Zelda that the timeline she came from was one in which she did not travel to the past. We do not ever see the light dragon until after Zelda blinks out of existence in that pit at the start, so my theory is that the light dragon was NOT present during the events of BotW, but once Zelda traveled back, it had "always" been there.

@@Glamador the reason why we dont see the light dragon before zelda is sent back, is probably because we are in an underground area, deep below the surface

@@Glamador except Rauru was flat-out wrong when he said that. He didn't have all the information and falsely thought that, with Zelda at his side, he would be able to defeat the Demon King and prevent her future (one where the Demon King still exists) from happening. When it became apparent that he would fail to defeat the Demon King and Zelda's "prediction" would come true (where she says that he would fail and the Demon King would persist until her time), then he accepts that as the future and goes on his whole spiel about "years from now, a swordsman will appear with the power to defeat you...Link". The reason we don't see Zelda (or any of the sky islands) in BotW is because there's a sky barrier hiding them from view, which was destroyed during the Upheaval

@@seal7513 Actually nothing implies that Hylia was having Time Powers, all she had was powers of Holy Light or how do you explain Demise's Imprisonment? Time Powers arent that useful against a Multidimensional Being that Conquered Time Itself. And the Master Sword itself could only open the Gate of Time after recieving the Flames of the Creator Goddesses, only then it got its time traveling/Controlling powers I know that in Wind Waker the Master Sword froze Moblins and Dark Nuts in time, but compare this sealing away witb Demise's Imprisonment. Demise gets thrusted back into the ground with the Sealing Spike on top which gets empowered by the Holy Light of the Sword's Skyward Strike

The whole point of the Light Dragon is to have the sword for tens of thousands of years. Zelda received the sword in the past, so the correct course of time would be if the dragon had the sword since then. If Link decided not to give the sword then that would change the course of time.

Time is but a circle, ever flowing. Fuse a wing to your arrow for maximum distance. (Or Rocket. You have to use the buttons to fuse it while the bow is ready)

it definitely confirms a sort of predestination type of time travel. That being, the time travel had already happened before it happened type deal. Which makes sense to me, I think that's the least messy version of time travel.

I think I did manage to get on the light dragon once before it's it was like maybe a week after the game came out so I don't remember correctly but I think I got on to it before I left the Great sky Island and even before giving the master sword to the pedestal

From sky Island between dragons tears glyph where you can wait and it flys towards you use balloon to go up. Need timing right so save when see it coming

I mean the dragon had the sword all along. Zelda was holding the sword while transforming so obv there were multiple master swords at the same time. It would be funnier if you were able to keep the broken one and defeat Ganondorf with it :D That would make the whole thing worthless

ahem, according to the Glyphs, and when you escape G.S.I., the master sword disappears to zelda, (according to Purah..) and in the start of the game, zelda was sent to the past, and then aquries the Master sword when you escape G.S.I. becomes a dragon, but, they dont appear in botw, because this the first timeline is in totk and botw, not the 2nd, 3rd, yada yada yada. so boom. ya just got Nerded.
