Okayu telling Korone to “do the thing” and Mio absolutely dying from laughter before Korone literally does anything is so damn cute 😂 that collab was so much fun to watch
I use retro as an era, because its easy to do it like that. When people say retro, I think of Space Invaders, original donkey kong etc. Putting PS2 into the "retro" bracket just makes the category too broad.
That Okayu curing Mio's hiccups clip has become one of my fave Hololive clips. Okayu and Korone are a hilarious double act, and that comedic timing was impeccable
That wizard saved me too! I’ve used that strategy every time I’ve gotten hiccups and they disappear instantly. Over a year now and still works like a a charm!
I thought Okayu's hiccup trick was going to be another trick that people say always works because that's what they grew up with, but she knew why it helped and had a solution that worked on that reasoning. Cool. For those of you who don't know, hiccups are caused by spasms of the diaphragm as Okayu said. The diaphragm is a muscle under your lungs that helps push the air out of your lungs, kinda like a pump. So when that muscle spasms, you take a quick, involuntary intake of air or what we call a hiccup. The best way to counteract the hiccups is to send regular signals from your brain to your diaphragm to interrupt the spasming. That's why most tricks that work have something to do with breathing. Okayu's method with laughing after taking in a lot of air would interrupt the spasms.
I'm a huge vtuber fan and I'm 38yrs old (with a full head of hair btw),also watch a ton of anime so I'd be surprised if there are than many in my demographic of Nagzz viewers.I mainly watch the YT content though I am following Nagzz on Twitch.
It’s relative. As a kid you look at the high schoolers and think they’re so big and old. Then you are one and the college kids look so mature. Then you are a college kid. At some point, you realize you are at the age you used to think of as old, and you recognize the passage of time, and the only word you can think of is old.
hey, Kiki! I just started watching her a couple weeks ago. Entertaining retro gamer. Edit: Oh, and for me I would consider PS2 retro. It hurts to say as I grew up on NES and SNES. But PS2 was the last major console that wasn't HD. Seems like a good dividing line to me.
i think why a lot of things that would "technicaly" be retro don't feel retro is because of two motives, their lifespan for one, a lot of people say the ps2 is retro because it launched 20 years ago, but production stopped just 12 years ago , you won't call mcdonalds retro because its first restaurant launched so long ago, but you will call blockbuster retro because it already went out of businness, you can call "retro" something that is still in the ommon market even if it was made in 1998, the other factor is the "sequel effect" as i call it, for example, you won't call the iphone retro because their replacement is always jut a better version of the iphone, being replaced by "You but better" makes it feel like the original thing wasn't replaced, just upgraded, so the ps2 doesn't feel as old because it was replaced by the ps3, it was upgraded, fun fact the ps3 launched before the ps vita, but i bet you feel like the ps vita is more "retro", thats because of how much life and use the ps3 had vs the ps vita, also the simple fact of not being called psp2 makes de psp feel like it was replaced, not upgraded TLDR: we should judge by retro for when something is "replaced", not "created", and if it is "replaced" by themselves like, iphones or ps2->ps3, then it gets some extra years before it starts to feel retro
Come on, you want old? I remember in order to play tictactoe you had to program it with html and save it to a cassette tape cause there was no hard drives, all 200+ lines of it.
I just trained myself to consciously stop hiccups. Takes some awareness of how your body reacts, but once you identify the feeling right before a hiccup, you can force the involved muscles to relax and not twitch while you breathe in. And if you get the timing right, all it takes is a single one to remind your body that's not how breathing works, and it stops.
@@alvis1686 she doxxed kenji 2 years ago and recently information came out that kuro and her were creating kenji hate groups and kuro wanted him to get dhumbled and plus she was saying it was funny that she doxxed kenji look it up
Naggz hate to tell you buddy but next year will be the 20th anniversary of the 360 and year after that is the 20th of Wii and ps3. Ps2 and it's gen came out near the start of the 20 century.
7:20 that's the most normal looking one of those candies that I've ever seen. Usually they're half smashed with the candy eyes and mouth all over the place or not on at all.
If we do use the 20 years as our standard for "retro", then the PS2 counts, and the PS3 isn't far away, either. The Xbox 360 is even closer. On the Nintendo side, the Gamecube and the mentioned DS are the newest retro home and portable consoles, respectively. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is 20 years old, as are the Zelda games Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap, the Metroid games Zero Mission and Prime 2: Echoes. In 2004, the newest Final Fantasy was FFXI, Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage, and Crash Twinsanity came out. I could go on, but Wikipedia is there for anyone wondering about their favorite video game franchise or company. Apparently, I have good hair, and I'm almost as old as that guy. Sorry, I don't know what I'm doing that makes that the case. Could be a gene thing? The Game Boy's lifespan is considered to have ended in 2003, so you got it... about the midpoint or a little earlier. Inhale, drink something, force a burp. That's been my standard remedy.
Hiccups are cured by any method that forces you to consciously control your breathing while doing something else. So having to drink water forces you to hold your breath and also swallow the water. But the method of holding your breath and somebody else making you laugh works great as well.
When I hear retro games I think of games that needed heavy stylization to compensate for weak hardware. I'd say retro went up to the N64, and modern started (with very mixed results) with PS2/Xbox/NGC. That said, the first modern gen was not really powerful enough to consistently deliver something that looked realistic. I can understand people calling Banjo Kazooie retro to put it this way, but Final Fantasy X is not retro.
19:12... people believe that raising your left arm helps with hiccups for some reason... i do think that hiccups come from the diaphragm spasming so actually holding your breath while contracting your stomach gets rid of hiccups fairly quickly... Edit: oh so okayu's way is fairly similar to mine... Edit2:wtf... i should have watch the entire clip before posting...
Not had hiccups for so many years, like the ones that doesn't seem to end.. I do though sometimes have single hiccups weirdly enough. In other words, I don't miss them!
Honestly if we're talking about retro in gaming it should probably be in console generations right because if we do it specifically by years and console gens last like 6-12 years in general you can end up with weird stuff like just an example but stuff like early xbox one games being considered retro while the last games released on it only being 8 years old I would probably put it at 2-4 generations so like N64-PS1-saturn(? I didn't even acknowledge segas existence really until they just became a software dev) was the 4th generation of consoles ps5 and xbonx is the 8th Gen game cube Dreamcast (?) PS2 and xbox were the 5th gen consoles it's fair to say they've become retro after the releases of the 8th Gen PS3 360 and Wii are gunna be hard to classify as retro because they are the fathers of modern gaming it's the generation where PC gaming became a legitimate thing where you could get most console games with perfect ports on PC instead of having it's own eco system it was the first era of true online gaming I can see the argument for it but it doesn't feel right yet so I'd argue 3 generations myself
I still find it hard to think ps2 is retro... But I still don't want to think that GBA or ps1 was retro. Lolz, I'm pretty old now I guess... says the 35 year old.
Maybe I'm wrong but weren't there two versions of the GameBoy? the original 80's version was bigger and bulkier and the ones that came out later in the 90's got smaller, similarly to how PS2 started out as a box but later versions made them pretty slim.
Hey. The mind is a fickle thing, and no one else seemed to notice yet, but I just wanted to let you know: I see what you did there. If it helps with the channel, more power to ya. Impressive, really. That's all. See ya next stream. :)
I've never considered retro to be an age thing, to me it has always been about the style or graphics. In my opinion, everything before the n64 is retro and from then on it spills into some other category.
Growing up in Australia, you could not pay me money to eat American chocolate. Just about any other brown-coloured substance has better flavour than American chocolate.
I was hiccuping in class one time and my teacher acted like he was angry with me and told me "ill give you $5 to stop that." He stared at me for about 3 minutes and when I didn't hiccup again, he laughed and said "it worked didn't it."
Thought I was getting Vtuber clips, ended up with existential dread. It is interesting though; the general Vtuber audience does seem to skew a bit older considering that it's still an emerging content niche. I'll be curious to see where the industry goes and what the demographics are in 5-10 years.
holding breath is fine but u need to tense your abs completely while holding your breath and that forces that spasming muscle to stop when u clench it in between at least that always works for me ... until recently when it still worked but i got heart racing from it with a unregular heartbeat for a few seconds so now i'm scares of hiccups
i you use a question that confuses people to stop their hiccups they hiccup and i look them in the and and say quickly "do you like white horses?" any thing out of the blue works every time
lol hiccups are funny,, because i always cure mine by saying hiccups out loud to myself, of if i am too ingrained in my work a coworker will say it to me and it just goes away its just odd
Gameboy was released in Japan on april 21 1989, then was released in Europe late 1990. The gameboy Color was released in Japan on October 21 1998 and on November world wide.
Corn syrup vs real sugar not the only reason but one of the main reasons most mass produced sweets in the United States have an overpowering sweet flavor that kinda masks alot of the depth of flavor you get in other places
