I was procrastinating on watching this tutorial being that it's a bit old but after trying different current tutorials on RU-vid I'd to come back to this. And as expected you make it easy to understand. In other tutorials they were installing like 7 packages from the jump. That's wild for a beginner 😂

I'd recommend you to people who ask what tutorials to watch You explain everything super clearly and don't actually just tell people to copy this code and stuff

Man I remember the first time I used Android Studio and how much of a resource hog that program is. Don't even think about installing it on a computer without an SSD. Thankfully, we will be using it only for previewing the app, I remember in college we had to develop apps using the Java programming language and I also remember that It was such a pain to run on my old laptop. Since then Android studio is the stuff that nightmares are made of. Also, I have been a long time subscriber of yours and like always you have a great series, your new series on creating SPAs using React is probably the best out there. Everything I learned about web development I basically have to thank you for.

I was so confused of how to start a react native project...other videos i watched on RU-vid too confused me because everyone were doing it differently.But your explanation is crystal clear brother at last i was thinking it will be nice if you just edit the text in app.js and show the changes in the virtual device and you did that too.Good explanation brother.Thank you so much.

Bit late to the party. Thanks for all your work. I accidentally initially installed the expo CLI via npm and after some research figured I better use yarn. I knew yarn is fast but 161 sec(npm) vs 43sec yarn is fair a bit. Would love to see you discussing different package managers one day. Cheers

npm start does not open in a browser. I tried the command W for open web and it still didn't work. How do I fix this?

hello guys!. glad to be here by the way. :) from the installation process i've encountered an error when running the created project - myproject. it seems that though i inititally installed the expo using NPM globally, the project seems still lacking the expo module that is requiring installation of yarn to be able to properly install the expo module. with that, ive installed the expo module properly using yarn. and the rest of the procedure is as it is. :) thank you!

Android Studio emulator is a nightmare to run when you're using a PC with an AMD processor. Tried every resource I could find on Google and I'm still not able to make it work on my computer. I have no choice but to use my old phone for now.

if you're on a mac, don't forget to include sudo before installing expo. sudo npm install expo-cli --global

I love your content, but I'm a bit bummed out because when I found this series thought this was going to be one of those rare React Native tutorials that don't use Expo. It seems that nobody wants to teach the official React Native CLI, I guess it must really suck to learn then? 😂 I personally need to learn _without_ Expo for specific project-related reasons. Do you happen to know some good resources for that besides the official docs?

Does not work for me I faced this issue [09:05:28] Input is required, but Expo CLI is in non-interactive mode. --template: argument is required in non-interactive mode. Valid choices are: 'blank', 'blank (TypeScript)', 'tabs', 'minimal', 'minimal (TypeScript)' or any custom template (name of npm package).

Could not get Expo to install and I tried on multiple computers, anyone else having issues or figured out how to fix them? There seems to be some packages in Expo that are corrupted. Also, sometimes the installation just stalls or errors with no sign of why

How big is Android Studio is? It started downloading tons of packages when I open Android Studio app. I couldn't finish the download process because the disk ran out of space. I guess I have to use phone app instead of the emulator. Is there Android Studio alternatives I can use for this tutorial?

Can we use VS code Instead of Android studio

So, after I did "npm install -g expo cli", I did "expo init myproject" on my visual studio code and this was the message I got this error: The file C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming pm\expo.ps1 is not digitally signed.
