I think when Kai'sa and Taliyah were exchanging looks while looking down Rek'sai's tunnel was basically Kai'sa telling her non-verbally that she is going to lead Rek'sai away to save Taliyah and her home for the time being. That's why Taliyah gives her a kind of sad look right after Kai'sa puts her helmet on because it's basically goodbye. I think that's also why Taliyah is not helping at the end, the whole plan is to have Kai'sa get Rek'sai's attention completely and lead her away, and then Taliyah to cover the hole.
I actually think, that Ornn is getting ready for war. Also, I really like a more somber (yet still epic) tone to this cinematic, in comparison to Warriors. And of course, animation and music are absolutely insane. Overall, one of the best cinematics I've ever watch, if not the best.
Actualy i would not say he is preparing for war, cuz acording to volibear lore, volibear is the only demi-god in freljord who is trying to destroy it after getting abandoned/forgoten
@@theblaza6941 If not a war then he's definitely preparing for a fight. Ornn has been dormant for 8000 years and hasn't made a weapon since the founding of Freljord. The fact he's making a sword of all things means that there is definitely something BIG going to happen; Ornn hasn't given a single flying fuck for anything at all, not even the ruination that took over nations. Seeing him make a weapon for himself or someone is definitely something big.
@@arielgmelo If i remember right, its not IE. Cause the IE is allready older and forged by another "god". So maybe the tease of a new item for mid-season or a new upcoming champ. But thats just what i just remembered of the lore. so maybe i can be wrong too. @TheBlaza Like @AVGw allready, he is forging because sth big is coming up. the last "weapon" he forged was a fork, which he didnt like in the end, so he threw it away. And it became a weapon in the End cause its the trident of Fizz. So it means when Ornn is crafting a sword, sth big is coming up like war or sth similar.
i know not everyone enjoys league for the lore but i just want everyone to know that lorewise Ornn hasnt forged a Weapon in Centuries...... this is fuckin HYPE
Even without knowing Ornn hasn't forged a weapons since (which is really cool to learn about), i knew it wasn't normal for him to make one either. In-game he already carrid 2 "hammer", one was his smithing hammer, the other are just his anvil but has a grip to carry (and to fight like another hammer) ... but those are only his "tools". Seeing him forging a "Sword", now that is something else. Ornn is a Demigods & he's like a giant in size, crafting an actual weapon for himself is a big deal.
@@mr.bluefox3511 we know from newer lore stuff that Ornn is approaching Voli again because of something.... i believe this weapon isnt for Ornn himself rather than maybe even for Voli something is happening in Freljord and Ornn knows whats up and it seems to concern him if he prepares for war and talks to Voli again
They finally aged her up as they are supposed to, when she released she was intended to be 16 years old and they even jokingly shipped her with Ekko but that's impossible because Taliyah's story has her travelling the world and learning to control her magic as the Noxian-Ionia war is going on, a war that has been over for many years now and took five years to resolve. That means Taliyah should be at least 24 in modern day, making her even older than Kai'Sa
Enjoyed more adult ekko in arcane too also I thought kai’sa is like 27 which is still young but more mature since she appears to me always like that lol. Also liked Taliyah’s face the first time it’s still unique but just better and as you said a bit more mature even tho she appears to me more like 21/22

Ornn's parts are so chilling. It's not much but after knowing what happened to him and his Hearthblood it almost feels like he's finally ready to face his brother again.
he most likely will since Olaf and Sejuani are trying to take back The Cauldron of Ornn from the Ursine, and it is inevitable that Sejuani will face Voli since she already encountered him in his Thousand Pierced form and The Ursine along with Udyr

I believe in Ornn' s lore, he no longer concerns himself with the plights of the humans, so when he's making a sword, it shows he's preparing to enter back into the world to fight.
Taliyah's, Kai'Sa's, Olaf's and Sejuani's part of the cinematic are definitely canon, since they have stories leading up to it, but as for Pantheon and Leona I have no idea what is even happening. And that wasn't Volibear which Sejuani killed, just some people of the Ursine tribe. Also english speaking RU-vidrs: not being able to pronounce the names of the musicians meanwhile me, who speaks german: "I don't have such weaknesses"

my guess is pantheon wanted to destroy a portal that leads to the celestial realm which would stop or at the very least make it harder for celestials to do things on runeterra so they sent leona and maybe aurelion to stop him
@@archerkuro4158 Correct, those were Aurelion Sol's stars, and we see Pantheon ulting up into space, not back at Leona. Not sure about the portal thing though.
@@DamorahTalset Strange enough, I wonder what's the aftermath if Pantheon gets to fight a literal celestial space dragon. But I dont think he'll destroy it, knowing him he'd rather challenge one of the Aspects and make a deal. But I guess the Aspects are either like he said scared or just stubborn to take deals from a mortal

This Cinematic is based on three of the most recent stories on universe. They link all three at the bottom of the description if you wish to read them.
Like Warriors and Awaken, it is canon and teasing the lore events we will get later in the year. Like last years Ruination signaled Sentinels of Light (blech) and Awaken the Spirit Blossom and return of Noxus to Ionia's shores Sejuani is leading her tribe through the Ursine territory in search of Ornn's Cauldron, a mythical item that once drank from will nourish forever as her tribe is starving and beginning to fracture, Udyr would normally be with her as well as Olaf, but due to his VGU he's gone off to do a little self-reflection (He'll likely come back as New-dyr once his champ launches later this year and we'll see how Sejuani meeting Ornn pans out) Taliyah and Kai'Sa met in a story that just came out today, Kai'Sa helped Taliyah's tribe get to safety because the Void situation is getting really bad in south Shurima and as nomads they need to keep moving, the town they've come to is called Xolan, built to revere the ancient Ascended Xolaani (likely another champ coming this year), but in a story that came out last year all the people who lived there were killed when the Void opened up under it. This is the year of the Void for sure and I'm here for it, they've been neglected too long Pantheon and Leona we have no clue right now, but Pantheon and Leona have never got along, when Atreus (Pantheon's real name as a mortal) was not an Aspect Leona led the Solari tribe and refused to do anything about barbarians raiding their lands, this is what led Atreus to climb Mount Targon and become Pantheon, Aspect of War. He would later fight Aatrox, who was slaughtering the barbarians and pushing them towards Solari territory and lost, Aatrox dealing him a blow so severe with his Darkin blade that it destroyed the Constellation of War and freed Atreus from Pantheon's control. Atreus then took the powers of Pantheon for himself in a rematch where he defeated Aatrox where Pantheon couldn't and became the Mortal Aspect of War. Pantheon now hates all god-like beings who oppress and underestimate mortals like other Aspects, Celestials, Ascended and the Darkin. He's just come back from the Ruination and the Solari don't trust him completely as when he was Ruined by Viego Atreus hurt people against his own will which may be why the Solari block his path up the mountain. Then their is the comet which is possibly Aurelion Sol having returned to Runeterra and if that's true the Void is the least of anybodies worries.
If I remember from some discussion with other people and some lore content creator thoughts, they believe that the void has been TOOO active and Aurelion Sol has the power to close/stop the void from attacking RuneTerra. So we believed that Pantheon might try to force Aurelion Sol to do something about the void. All in all we might get an event based off of this like teasers from the Ruination

The exchange look between Kai'sa and Taliyah remind me of the moment when Dr Strange Look at Iron Man in the End Game. Kai'sa be like :" there is only one outcome in 14 millions, do what you gotta do my friend ". And the sadness in Taliyah's eyes just speaks volume. Just amazing visual storytelling, chef kiss!!!

No. they dont. This is the first time we actually see Leona doing her damn job as the Rakkori aspect in the lore and not just a plot device for Targon's Romeo and Juliet story.
@@verygeneric7065 Diana was only in two legends of runeterra videos and in the second it was only for 10 seconds when we get a small look at the Daiana vs Leona fight, Leona was also in these two videos and a also a cinematic "New Dawn" and now this cinematic, so I agree that we need more Diana and Leona together but not as enemies but as a couple

This pretty much felt like an infinity war kind of deal (infinity edge pun since thats what ornn made). The void gate is reopening and itll be the end of runeterra.
When Leona attacks, notice how Pantheon pulls back his shield a little at the last possible moment, weakening the blow. That's how you use a shield. Otherwise either the shield or your arm would break. Attention to detail!
Agreed. As a player who has always had a preference for the void, freljord, shadow isles and generally lesser popular champs. It was really nice to see this cinematic. The small snippet into each of their lore was very fascinating too. Moreso (I'd argue) than the poster champs we usually get.
The fight between Kai'sa and Rek'sai will end up on a high snowy mountain and both will be kind of dead but then Kai'sa will return as Kai'sa the White, bringing viktory and glory and never will be late!
Hi Zoya just to say something about Kai'sa, she fell in void when she was 10 and her name was Kaisa now it's Kai'sa, and she barely survived in Void she ran from void with her head on and now she's back and let's say she's not gonna win (she sacrificed her self)
These bears are not exacly Volibear they are Ursins. Ursin is the name of Volibears followers and they may look like Volibear but cant be as powerful as Volibear.

In the Taliyah & Kaisa scene, I think they tried to convey that there is a strong bond between them, seems like they can understand each other just from giving the looks lol Just before Rek'sai pops out from underground, Kaisa gives a look at Taliyah which kind of means "Yeah I'll have to take care of it and go down there". Taliyah feels upset about it but it seems like she understands the plan. Then Kaisa lures Reksai back into the Void opening, and Taliyah seals it.
Literally last lore story for Sejuani explains in greater details what is going on in cinematic P.S.-That underground hole Kai Sa and Rek Sai went in is probably less underground and more in a way an actual portal to void (cuz void actually isnt "yet" 100% manifested)
just realized that pantheon (pre-ascension) was attacking with a spear in his left hand and shield in right vs leona, but he was then holding spear in right hand and shield in left when he ascended and flew away at the end. Not sure if it's a lore thing or continuity in design error, but thought it was interesting nonetheless.
I liked that here Leona has her canon look, as in splash arts. I remember old cinematic, where she was running with Ahri, and there she looked like chinese.
