You were intensely delighted, shocked, amazed, and gratified--and it was visceral, physical, as well as musically informed (you quickly duplicated his melody and picked out his exact notes on your keyboard). You're right. We Dears search for new Dimash reactions daily. We Know reactors will be impressed, but we're curious about Why, and what each has to say about their experience. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (Ref CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Dimash is not about demonstrating his entire range in every song. He is about expressing the meaning and the emotions of the song in the most appropriate way possible. If you check the meaning of the lyrics of SOS, you will understand the reason for the contrast between high and low. As he himself has said, he is a singer, not a vocal acrobat or clown. By the way, his highest note is D8, sung during a live performance - not even on the piano, and he can also go lower than in SOS. He always moves me beyond words, transports me to another world and makes my soul fly when he sings, no matter in what register(s). He trained for 20 years in Classical/Operatic as well as Pop singing. He had not completed those years at the filming of this. He was only 22 here and was 25 when he ceased taking formal training. He is as most are, genetically predisposed to singing as his mother (Sveta) is a soprano Opera singer and his father (Kanat) is a pop singer. This is the performance that catapulted him to stardom. We his Dears/Fans are totally unconcerned about the "bait" issue. All we want is for you to grow to love him as much as we do.

Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

By the way, people see him & think he is short but he is 6 foot 3. He is 26 years olld & started training at 5. He is also very humble & charitable. While Dimash does in fact have a 6+ octave vocal range, the most octaves he usually spans in a single song is about 4. “Diva Dance”, “Your Love”, “Ogni Pietra”, and some versions of “Know” are good examples. He values storytelling over pyrotechnics so he generally only uses what is necessary for that particular song. His performance with the most octaves spanned is probably the Gakku version of “Unforgettable Day” which spans 5+ easily.

Seems you are afraid to be lumped with all those other reactors.....and I get it. People who love Dimash aren't interested in fake reactions either. I don't know exactly why you are labeling this "reactor bait". Yes reactors will use artists who get views as bait for their channel. I'm assuming that is what you are referring to. Dimash isn't baiting anyone nor is the Chinese singing show that he was a contestant on in 2017. No one is trying to get you demonetized. (you seemed to be indicating something like that) So, therefore, reacting to Dimash positively just simply means that you appreciate his talent and abilities. That in no way lumps you into the ambulance chaser class of reactors. Yes, this song has 3 octaves that the majority of singers out there would never attempt to sing. Dimash has upwards of 7 octaves actually but he doesn't do them all in one song. He's an artist not a circus act lol. I'm sure you realize that there is no song written out there that would do that. He does have songs that span 4 octaves and also he as a song Kinalama for instance ranges from G#2 to G#7 which is a 5 octave span. This is not his highest note nor his lowest, however. Dimash's talent isn't just his range. As you noticed, it's his tone, it's his placement, it's his unbelievably amazing control. And more than all of that, he is able fill the listener with emotion as he sings. And he's a genuine nice guy on top of all that. He's very humble actually. So the reason he is popular and growing in popularity isn't because he's some gimmick for reactors. He is literally the best singer in the world. You ask, "how can you determine that"? Well keep reacting to his songs and you will see. He will amaze you song after song. As a charter member Dear (I happened upon this performance very shortly after it was released on RU-vid in 2017.), I was immediately in awe of his talent. However, with time and I have come to believe that it is more (much more) than Dimash's talents that have drawn and kept me to him. It is his energy. Most other performers can have the ability to reach our hearts, but Dimash touches our souls! Look at your eyes at that first pause. You were already experiencing what I'm speaking of. Finally, don't worry about us Dears, we are a intuitive lot. We recognize BS when we hear it - and it doesn't matter even if it is BS. An honest reaction is appreciated, noone wants a reactor to say things only to please the viewers. You say you want to do at least one more Dimash reaction but (trying not to be negging here) I recommend doing a few more and that's because one more reaction is not enough to discover DImash's voice. He is so versatile in use of voice, genres and performance that you need to see more, every new song is surprising in at least one way and shows you new sides of DImash.
