I think there is no doubt that this is in contention for a jury win. It’s very ‘Barbara Praví’. The big question is can it appeal to the wider public. To answer that question, unfortunately, I think we’re going to have to wait to see what else is on offer.
For sure juries will like him for his absolute control and touch, so he is safe there even if there will be more authentic artists who could sing, even with such victory I would not be sure song-wise. I really struggle with it, especially last 40 seconds.
Can you imagine Pedestal being sung in front of a massive crowd in Prague's old town? There are levels to Eurovision. But I know that the Czech did not choose Pedestal, easy to pick a strange song for someone else's country.
