I walked into the sauna and there was some guy there who smelled like he was wearing 12 sprays of Sauvage Elixir. I myself, wearing 14 sprays of Tobacco Vanille, sat across from him while maintaining direct eye contact. He let out a haughty groan, I leaned back, crossed my arms, our stares intensified and thus began the battle of dominance.
Rotten rebel and Sarah Solomon are great reviewers, a combination of these reviewers as well as this channel have been a great helping me understand fragrances
I’ve been watching Rotten Rebel for awhile now. I found him from watching Sandra Solomon. I love their videos together. Rotten Rebel has good takes and points when reviewing fragrances. I don’t agree with all of his 10/10 fragrances but none of them were bad scents. They’re all good solid fragrances. I have a couple on my collection.
@@James-xm3ex I'm happy to have it but it's definitely a special occasion type scent for me so I've maybe worn it 3 times this year, it's phenomenal though
@@dqyler Yea seems to be a special one. And Le male le parfum I know is exquisite, probably my most worn fragrance on a night out and most complimented too. People tell me I smell delicious when I wear it and I don't get that much with my others
Friend....is the Armani Code redundant in your collection because you have the Le Male and Prada Black? I was thinking about getting the Le Male but I have the Code and Prada Black also are they all a bit too similar in your opinion?
@@aaron4387 I would say no, not redundant. Yes there are similarities and you could use all 3 for the same function but they are all unique and have their own personality. Le male le Parfum is so so good and I would absolutely recommend it, over the elixir too
My 10/10 are: Azzaro The Most Wanted Mancera Sicily JPG Le Male Elixir Rasasi Hawas Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc. Montale Intense Cafe Kajal Almaz Bond No. 9 Greenwich Village Dior Homme Eau Gisada Ambassador
I used to like rotten rebel and Sarah's reviews until I realized that they don't bring anything new to the table. Every review or count down list is made up of the same handful of fragrances, they only review big company stuff, and are never critical of anything. They are a bit cringe at times in my opinion. At this point, I need a mix of the big name stuff, but also the other houses that don't get much love on you tube. I think Omar and Justin Copeland do a good job a balancing the two.
Justin Copeland can be very tiresome. He is constantly having a conversation with the audience that I don't really think exists much with his audience, lecturing about compliments and basic bros. It would be fine if it was one video but not all the time. I've been subscribed to all of these content creators and I am no longer subscribed to any of them. None of them achieve what I am looking for in a fragrance creator. I enjoy those who just come make videos about fragrances they enjoy and want to have a conversation about it for example Scent land, Lanier Smith, and persolaise. Solid reviews from Robes08 , scents of South Jersey, Glam finds, and Joy Amin. Great creative work like George as the Fragrance apprentice is always appreciated. Oh and a fun Guy like Fatboy is great as well. All the Channels that are well pumping out lists and hyping new fragrances are boring and pretty much ruin the community for me. Take care anyone reads this and keep smelling great.
I unsubscribed because this guy said he wears 3-4 different fragrances a day. There is no way he can enjoy/test a fragrance doing this. Plus he loves EVERY fragrance
In my collection my 10 out of 10 are: The Harmonist - Hypnotizing Fire, MFK - BR540 Extrait, Byredo - Bal D'Afrique, Chanel - Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Givenchy - Gentleman Reserve Privee.
Just got the Allure Homme sport eau extreme 2 weeks ago after trying like 10 other fragrances inna douglas, the prada l'homme and the allure homme sport were my favorites of all i tried immediately bought it. The only thing is the durability, for me its like 4, 5 hours, 6 hours maybe if i overspray. The prada l'homme and the armani SWY absolutely are on the way to me rn 🙏 pasha de cartier was also insanely good i think it was the darker version the parfum..
Killian's Angle Share is top of my wishlist. I run a whiskey bar (and similar first name I guess) So I'll celebrate a milestone with that fragrance at some point in the near future.
Savauge Elixir is the most overhyped fragrance i have ever smelled. I had it for a few weeks and its not i scent i was into. I actually almost came to hate it. Sold it right away and never regretted it
Yeah it smells like Drakkar Noir but with a bunch of sweet notes added to it like liquorice, cinnamon, and some other Christmas time type spices I can't remember off the top of my head. But in my opinion Drakkar Noir smells fine as is, not with added sweetness. Elixir ends up smelling almost like an Indian curry of some type and while that smell is appealing for eating it certainly isn't sexy or romantic in any sense. Not to mention elixir is possibly the most powerful fragrance on the market save for maybe a few middle eastern style Oud tobacco, or incense based Oriental fragrances from Amouage like Interlude Man 45 or Reflection 45, TF Tobacco Vanille or Tobacco Oud, Mancera Red Tobacco, and Initio's atomic bomb of a fragrance Oud for Greatness. Any one of which I actually find more tolerable than Elixir by a long shot. Those fragrances will last months in your closet after just a couple of sprays on a jacket. Honestly just wear Drakkar Noir layered with some regular Sauvage EDT, EDP, or Parfum if you want a more pleasant smelling and non sickly sweet version of Dior Sauvage Elixir that will be far more mass appealing. Or go for Spice bomb extreme which basically has a similar vibe to Elixir with all the Christmas spices and what not, only it actually smells divine and not overly sweet whatsoever. That fragrance is the epitome of a spicy fragrance done right, mainly because the gorgeous tobacco note is the anchor as opposed to liquorice like Elixir. But then again I've never found any fragrance with a heavy liquorice note in it attractive.
In my humble opinion Valentino Uomo Intense is way more modern and has a richness gourmand touch that blends perfectly. DHI which I own feels more dated to me and not as masculine as VUI ✌🏻
Sauvage Elixir smells like a cross between Drakkar Noir and BR540 or possibly even Initio Oud for Greatness. The latter two in my opinion being a bit too sweet and cotton candy like on a man.Drakkar Noir is in my opinion actually an attractive Scent for a man despite it's age. It's still appealing to this day. BR540 on the other hand is gorgeous on a woman, but on a man is far too sweet and just a turn off at least to me. Oud for Greatness is actually pretty good on a guy if applied very very lightly. But it's typically over applied and takes on that same cotton candy sweetness as BR540, likely from the heavy saffron note. I guess I'm old fashioned but ive just never liked sweet fragrances on a guy. One Million and JPG Ultra Male for example are actually fragrances that i own and wear but forbid my husband to. Aventus, Hacivat, Cedrat Boise are my typical favorite male scents. I also love Armaf CDNIM and the rest of the high quality Aventus or Hacivat clones on a man. More devisive and polarizing middle eastern style fragrances like Chanel Egoiste, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Mancera Red Tobacco, or even the dreaded Amouage Interlude Man can actually be ridiculously attractive and a huge turn on on an handsome, refined, cultured type of gentleman in a tailored Italian suit, sporting a Rolex, and driving a Lamborghini down the beach at night on their way to take their date out to an uber romantic and insanely expensive restaurant in Malibu. In that scenario those typically polarizing middle eastern fragrances that most basic bros or gym douches would say smell like an old man or like animal poop or whatever other nonsense terms they use are actually even sexier than your typical mainstream lady killer ( or what the bros assume are lady killer) type fragrances like Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, YSL Y EDP, or Versace Dylan Blue. Mainly because they smell exotic, expensive, and mysterious as opposed to shower gel or highschool locker rooms like the others. In a nutshell a woman isn't going to remember you when you smell like every other basic dude from 18-30, but when you think outside the box and experiment with something more intriguing, more expensive, better quality and very uncommon if not downright unknown to most people your age while also of course looking and acting the part of a suave, jet set, male model or something else interesting then the lady will likely remember you for the rest of her life. Don't believe me? Just try it for yourself and see how much more attractive you will be to women and also those women you attract will be the classy types, not your basic plain or downright trashy looking girls with tacky rainbow colored hair, peircings all over their face and tattoos from head to tow. Think Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly not Cardi B or Billy Eilish.
Imo if ombré is not a 10 is because of wearability . Do not and I repeat do not wear unless it’s autumn or winter plus you need to be able to pull it off
Is Percival worth the price as a year round versatile scent since Montblanc Legend EDP and EDT exist ? i had Mont blanc Legend EDP i really love the scent but it does not last on my skin (4-5hours with a 2022 batch) and im thinking of upgrading to Percival or Gentle Fluidity Silver (not the same type of scent but same function / year round versatile scent)
Club de nuit limited edition: Heavily musky, woody the start smells horrible (sufficating smell) then it smells like intense musky woody tiny bit of fruit scent.. apply it 30 minutes before leaving or else you will sufficate everyone
Hi Bro... I would like to hear about Gisada uomo... No proper review found on the internet except curly's. Ordered both ambassador for men and uomo.. Could you please comment on uomo. Don't wanna waste money if it doesn't perform.
I can’t watch the “Top 10 Complimented” videos anymore. They are all the same. I don’t care about compliments, I wear what I want to smell. Justin Copeland and Sebastian (The Perfume Guy) are two of the channels that I absolutely love because they talk about fragrances that the other 200 fragrance channels don’t talk about. I appreciate the “compliment” grift but people that are really into fragrances don’t really care about that, usually.
I love your vids, Omar. You, ATH and Sam are the best internet sources for people interested in perfumery I know. Your entertaining vids' character is incomparable. 1:13 😂😂😂😂😂
Viewed his videos before, he has great videography and showmanship but the fragrance he introduced are so mainstream and other mainstream reviewer has already done them to death.
I agree with you Omar, I also can't handle it when someone's getting high on the atomizer or go for the 'I-jizzed-in-my-pants🥵' look when they smell a fragrance. Apparently it's such a pet peeve for me that I normally don't watch his videos.
Is armaf sillage really a compliment grabber? Is it better than armaf milestone? Which would pull in more compliments from ladies when rocked by a dude**
I personally find his reviews to be cringey hyperbole. Also he literally says every complete sentence with an icky annoying crescendo and decrescendo. His delivery style sounds more like pitch than an honest review. However I will give him credit for having great taste in fragrances. Still a pass for me.
Uff que pesado este señor que cree que tiene autoridad para opinar sobre las ideas de otros reviewers y usar su contenido. Me parece de muy mal gusto, ya que lo hace muy a menudo. Por esa razón, ya no lo sigo.
Ya I wouldn’t say never but he for sure is always at the positive side of all the colognes he has. And honestly that’s not really a bad thing, I love his chanel
I've been an R.R. subscriber since he first started his channel. He's very interactive with his followers and his videos are entertaining. He's great! So are you Omar!
What I love about rotten rebel, the guy ALWAYS ALWAYS respond to my reaction to his videos... I appreciate and respect his thoughts and opinions... Of his 10-10 I only have the Tom Ford ombre leather... My #1 fragrance...
I’ve had dior sauvage elxir for 3 months now and it’s the perfect versatile fragrance imo, great for heat, cold, work, dates, etc. 2x better than Bleu De Chanel and I have that aswell.
I used to watch Rebel a ton but he’s become a little too dramatic for me. I’ll take honesty over drama all day hence why I watch you and Aaron Terence Hughes mostly now. My 10/10 are Naxos, Hard Candy and interlude man
I think Interlude Man or Naxos can be a downright devastatingly sexy fragrance when worn by the right guy in the right outfit. It isn't a basic bro or gym douche type of fragrance whatsoever. It is a refined, exotic, and very expensive smelling incense, tobacco, or Oud based middle eastern style fragrance meant for a suave, jet set looking guy in a tailored Italian suit, Rolex, and Ferragamos driving a Lamborghini with the top down along the beach in Malibu at night. Likely a European male model or gigolo type. Other fragrances I find fit that same vibe would be Amouage Beach Hut Man and Reflection 45, Chanel Egoiste, YSL Opium Pour Homme, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Penhaligon's Sohan or my newest dreamy favorite at the moment on my husband the gorgeous Mancera Red Tobacco. Absolutely to die for. These are all high end designer or niche fragrances based around oriental notes of Incense, Oud, and tobacco. Polarizing for your basic man who likely refers to them as smelling like an old man or even like animal urine or feces, but that goes to show just how uncultured these types of guys are. They most likely are going to grab Sauvage or some other mainstream blue fragrance that smells like shower gel or the highschool locker room. BORING!!!! The same type of guys are drinking beer and whiskey while the sexy, suave ones are drinking Champagne cocktails and Sidecars made with the best French Cognac. Smelling a wiff of Interlude Man, Tobacco Oud, or Red Tobacco on the right guy with the right look is like dying and going to heaven for me. I wish more women would want that for themselves instead of the douchey gym bro reaking of Sauvage while getting drunk in a trashy local bar in any town USA covered in trashy tattoos and piercings and listening to the latest mumble rap while contemplating on how much money they are going to have to spend to get some random chick drunk enough to go home with them.
@@winnienguyen4420"Basic" bro fragrances like BDC EDP, Percival, Allure Homme Sport and Profondo are timeless and incredible fragrances. I never smell them on anyone because most men aren't wearing fragrance. I've had so many compliments with those.
Without a doubt if any up and comer deserves to have the spotlight shone on them it is Senthil fragrance. He’s literally raising the bar for what fragrance videos can be.
It was super lame to shame him for smelling his fragrance for too long. It's his nose, he can smell how he wants. That kind of gatekeepy bullshit is shameful and extremely snobby. Stop doing that.
Thank you for being the only fragrance reviewer who calls it exactly like it is when it comes to Dior Sauvage Elixir. Can understand why people enjoy it very much, but it is way too intense, I can barely put on one spray without choking out everyone within 10 feet. Aside from that it is fantastic.
The problem is that liquorice note. It's sickeningly sweet and ruins the whole fragrance for me. Elixir is basically a sweetened up version of Drakkar Noir and Drakkar smells fine the way it is. Adding BR540 style cotton candy sweetness to that fragrance profile just doesn't work. Ends up being a cloying mess with anything more than one spray and god forbid someone wear it out in the heat. I would gag.
@@winnienguyen4420 I liked the scent enough but yes, the liquorice was just too strong. I now have Lattafa Asad and really love it…so much more wearable and less intense
I love his videos. Great production value and he is a very good presenter. He always states his opinions as opinions. I think he deserves 10x the subscribers he has. I also appreciate him interacting with his subscribers. Not all current fragrance RU-vidrs do that… Some fragrance RU-vidrs don’t interact at all, some leave a ♥️ after a comment, Some do a ♥️ and a personal comment. RR does that. :)
Recently brought Ombré leather. The Best Buy so far. Spring is round the corner and I am already in love with notes. Perfect blend of little and leather
