Salah is not a flair player, probably at Basel, but deffo not at Liverpool. He’s deffo not underrated. Yes the people that say salah is better than hazard, are basing it all off stats. Salah is actually not a very good football player. Struggles to beat his man or complete his passes, not to mention the amount of one on ones he misses and the amount of waste shots he takes which don’t challenge the keeper in anyway. he shanks his shots a lot and struggles to generate power or accuracy,he can’t shoot, he just swings his feet into the ball, so you never know what type of shot you will get from him, three to four seasons ago salah lost possession more than any other player in Europes top 5 leagues, this is a part of his game he never really improved on, he really didn’t! I would love to see what that particular stat is like now. his success take on rate is in the thirty percentile, very low, which goes into him losing possession a lot, he can’t dribble. I already know this from watching him but that’s for you fan boys. his link up play is not good at best, technically he’s not very good, he’s a very limited football player, this is why he won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. people who love the game and understand what football really is, a lot of times won’t think he’s that good. He’s also the most selfish football player in Europe, what salah does on the field any other player would get taken off for it, he rather kick the ball on multiple defenders three times in a row than pass it to a person in a better possession, this reason has made us not scored plenty of goals that we should have! the amount of possession lost and miss opportunities which he doesn’t create for himself, he runs onto the ball, so it’s people making passes to him, he’s no Suarez. Salah is actually a better player now than he’s ever been, his gameplay has improved, he passes more now, still not great but he has improved. What’s salah good at? Salah makes direct runs, which is great and has a good first touch, he’s also strong, has a good acceleration, he’s not actually that fast, but because of his small statue he can sometimes get past those big defenders that take along time to adjust their bodies and turn around, that’s it! We made salah, people seem to always confuse this, our style of play is what gave him the statts he has, so whenever I hear what will we do without salah I think what are you people smoking. last season when he was away for Africa cup of nations, we played our best football, that was a fact!! it’s when he came back that our bad form kicked in. I remember when we tried him on corners and we had to take him off corners imadiately because he would struggle to get the ball into the box, instead kicking the ball back straight out for a goal kick, the ball didn’t even use to make it past the first goal post, just went straight back out, not very good technically.
