Agust D/SUGA is ranked as one of the most influential producers and songwriters in South Korea, who won multiple awards over the past few years, including best producer. He debuted at #9 on Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters Chart. He became the first male soloist in history to have a song and album reach No.1 on iTunes in 100 countries each. He is ranked No.1 most streamed Korean male soloist globally in 2021 on Spotify and is the first Korean solo artist to enter the US Spotify artist chart. His mixtape "D-2" debuted at #11 on Billboard 200 and it is the most streamed album by a Korean soloist. And there is just a few of his achievements. He has two self-produced mixtapes: "Agust D" (2016) and "D-2" (2020), which broke several records on music charts worldwide. He uses his platform to talk about important topics and most of his lyrics touch such subjects as mental health, social issues, the contrast between dreams and reality, etc. To put this simply, in Daechwita MV king is his past self. The other one is his present self. So he shot his past self. "Daechwita" is a genre of Korean traditional military music, which was played to announce the arrival of king. Suga just keeps showing why he’s getting known as one of the top music producers around everyone wants to work with. Everything he makes is amazing and he does many styles from songs like this (using traditional Korean classical instruments in such a hard beat??) through instrumental songs like he did for Samsung and softer songs for female kpop idols. Plus his rapping and flow? His story ideas for his MVs are also just a tier above. Here he is both the mad king drunk on power and money beheading everyone and also the young rebel man of the people who will fight corruption and kill his own inner mad king. It’s always layers of meaning. Suga/AgustD is in a serious league of his own. His latest song he produced this week released on Friday “Stay Alive” is a soundtrack for the new BTS Webtoon with BTS band mate Jungkook singing. It’s incredibly cinematic.

This MV is what brought me to BTS. It’s a masterpiece. I love all of his solos, including the BTS ones - The Last, People, 724148 (the beat on this one, freaking amazing), First Love, and on and on. Min Yoongi, aka Agust D, aka Suga, is indeed a genius.

"Daechwita" is the marching song played when a king or a Royal army is entering, or coming through. This song has so much meaning. It's filled with a lot of things about Korean history. But the story line is a bad king vs. a good king. The bad is standing on his subjects and cutting their heads off. The good comes in and rises up WITH the subjects to take down the bad king. Notice when he is head banging, the subjects are head banging with him in the background. Suga was given a very hard time by his fellow South Korean rappers for being in BTS. This is him saying " I'm a badass, I made the right decision, I'm A world wide rapper, I have money. I get to do it all".

Great reaction! It's not a Dodge. That car is a classic Hyundai Azera, a "status" car from the 80's in Korea - similar to a Cadillac. The one in the video is old, but there is actually a new 'resto-mod' electric version on the market in South Korea

Daeschwita is a Korean military march for the king. In this song Suga (black hair) is battling the king (blond hair) inside himself who wants it all (money, fame, power0. And it’s a total FING BANGER ! Dude channeled thousands of years of his culture into his soul and spat it out. He’s amazing and it’s awesome to watch you enjoy it.

I dunno but you might wanna wait til listening to at least 10 seconds of the video before you start shouting, hollering, acting excited in your “first time” reaction video. Anyone reacting genuinely would need time to process/absorb what they are seeing before commenting. This is one of my favorite music videos ever and Suga is my personal favorite (bias) in BTS. Fans know they are great in terms of song quality/music production but looking for genuine reactions by people who are new to them.

Please more reaction on yoongi solo mixtapes and also RM and jhope too because RM'S work is so underrated and best in terms of music and lyrics and jhope's work is so amazing . I feel sorry for RM and specially jhope because there work need to be recognised too
