The first opening for Aldnoah is actually sung by the group Kalafina, which is all composed by Yuki Kajiura the composer of Demon Slayers mucic and also Fate. I highly recomend checking out more from Yuki Kajiura in the future. A song I'd recommend is Oblivious by Kalfina. It is from the Garden of Sinners movie series and is amazing!

Aldonoah Zero when it came out I was freaking out because this anime put together the two Monsters of OST in anime (Sawano Hiroyuki and Yuki Kajiura), the anime is meh. Kajiura will be to me the best ever with her classic music style, opera, violin, everything put together (OST of Fate Zero, Madoka Magika, Demon Slayer and so on), and Kalafina was a group that she created basically to sing her songs, and the concerts of them was everytime awesome but asking to react to something of Kalafina is tough because the hammer of copyright of them is heavy kkk

After 86 Luke, a genuine recommendation of a mecha anime is mobile suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans . It's very Brutal, very well animated well written and have a cruel world and the group goes forward toll the end . A good journey pretty similar yet different from 86

Ah yes... Aldnoah zero... I watched it when it released. The first season was amazing and the cliffhanger at the end was on the level of Code geass)) Sadly 2nd season fell hard and romantic line just went nowhere.... But the idea of super mechs with alien tech was great and how MC dismantled each of them))

The ending was so ass lmao. Authors got scared in making one of the two sides of the fans angry (each side rooting for a different guy), came up with an awful escape route that made *both* sides of the fans mad lol

Then you got to check out two of the most incredible Mech animes to be ever created: Uplifting one: Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann (this one changes people's lives, really) Upsetting one: Neon Genesis Evangelion (this one is greatest existential crises, its insane)

If you love 86, then you will also like Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. It’s a great mech anime with a good story behind it. I finished it for the first time a couple weeks ago and was blown away!

Music and Mecha ? There is (to my knowledge) one anime you never reacted to : The Macross Franchise which started in 1982, a bit younger than Gundam. You can check almost every song. the 2 latest entry in the franchise are Macross Frontier (2008 - My favorite of the franchise) and Macross Delta (2016).

If you're not sure if an anime is a mecha or jets....assume mecha, surprisingly very few anime about planes, unless the planes are also mechs. Yeah I'm with you, the EDs for this one are just amazing! That beat drop in ED2 never gets old.

Probably the only "plane" type anime I can think of out of the thousands of shows I've watched are Allison to Lillia and Last Exile. There's more space flight related stuff. But now that I think of it, he should respond to the Last Exile Op/Eds.

Yeah, ending 2 is by far the most powerful and memorable thing that came out of this anime. Opening 1 is sung by group Kalafina that did songs for Fate/Zero and Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Maybe you recognize some of those?

Aldnoah Zero is that one anime that has some killer ost and that while many people didn't like the main character and story I do like it for the most parts (A few things near the end of the story that I wish was done differently but I won't talk about it to no spoil anyone). Don't expect an amazing anime on the level of legends like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but I'd say it was enjoyable for me to watch with some truly amazing scenes here and there coupled with great soundtrack made by the legend himself (Hiroyuki Sawano).

All animes that has Hiroyuki Sawano doing the OST, no matter how bad or good might be the anime itself, it will always be godly. Aldnoah Zero, Attack on Titan, Re:Creators, Guilty Gear, Gundam Unicorn, Owari no Seraph, Blue Exorcist, LotGH, 86, etc.

If you're looking for another Mech anime op/ed to check out i cannot in good faith not recommend the openings and endings of Knights of Sidonia. If you're looking for more Hiroyuki Sawano though i'd defintely check out Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn's OST.

Skimming through the comments, it seems no one talked about that he actually missed an ending. There were 2 seasons of the show and ED 1 and 2 were both from season 1 and there was a 3rd ending used in season 2. ED 3 is not as good as ED 2 but it's still one of my favorite. I hope he can react to it later...

For mecha anime, I will recommend some great classics. Macross, Macross+, Macross:Do You Remember Love(after main series), Patlabor(tv, ova, and movies and manga), Aura Battler Dunbine(same creator as Gundam), Bubblegum Crisis, Maddox Metal Skin Panic, Gundam(of course, 0080 made Yellowflash cry), and Gunbuster. To name a few. Honorable mention, Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers. The Japanese rights holder of Yamato bought the company that held the US distribution and merged the series.

This show is very underrated, and the music is half the experience. Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans is another great mecha anime (you should react to the openings and endings to Gundam Ironblooded Orphans)

In my opnion, Aldnoah Zero does not get much love it deserves. It is one of the best beginner mecha anime. I recommend you try the opening for Juuni Taisen next, which also has an under appreciated opening.

Aldnoah Zero is one of my favorite Mech anime’s of all time, it’s very dramatic and epic in scale, a very well done show that keeps you on the edge of your seat through out each episode. If you love the second opening then you need to check out the English Cover of aLIEz by AmaLee, she does a lot of English covers of anime music and they are amazing. Edit: Please check out the openings and endings of the AQUARION franchise, it’s a legendary mech anime with awesome music and the best ones are sung by AKINO and she is my favorite singer when it comes to anime.

I think OP1 reminded you of To The Beginning from Fate/Zero. It has the same group singing (Kalafina), and by extension the same composer (Yuki Kajiura), opens with an operatic-ish vocal, and kind of a slow rock feel to it.

86 is my favorite all time Anime. My second favorite is also a Mecha called Full Metal Painc. While not as good as 86 Full Metal Panic is a great mixture of Mech action and comedy.

I miss these days, when the Sawano drop was a cult following. Aldnoah Zero is probably the most hyped anime original premiere back in the day carried by production crew members like Gen "Urobutcher" Urubochi and Hiroyuki Sawano post AOT and Kill la Kill fame. Used to be the talk of the internet during its release. Brought nostalgic feelings seeing someone bring this anime up again

The 2nd season is definitely not as good as the 1st one (especially after that cruel cliffhanger at the end of the 1st season), but I think it's pretty good overall and the music in it is just too good to miss out on it. Not gonna lie, I totally forgot that the 2nd ending was not an opening, it's just too epic. Also if you are getting into mecha anime, Code Geass should definitely be up on your list too.

Incidentally (final comment I swear) my favorite mecha anime is still _Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet_ , the one season and a couple OVA wonder. I can't really recommend it for this particular channel because as far as I can tell nobody remembers it from circa 2014, its soundtrack is decent but not outrageously good, and it's very slice-of-lifey for a good while there which I deeply enjoyed but some people might not. I really like this series. It was originally pitched as a alternate Gundam universe series, but was rejected. So the creator went elsewhere and got it made. However, definitely no "Newtypes". Just a socially awkward kids that sees and thinks about thing... differently. Do we know of any world changing people like that in the world today?

The Aldnoah Zero anime is 24 episodes over two seasons. Overall, I found it to be uneven. The production values are on point, and the music absolutely slaps, but the writing occasionally falls down. For more Sawano goodness, check out Seraph of the End.

If you're looking for more Hiroyuki Sawano to react to, he recently did the soundtrack for Fate/Strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn. In particular, the track FAKEit is a phenomenal song that I would definitely recommend checking out. IMO the best anime OST I've heard in the last 2 years

Haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, but since you mentioned anime about planes. There’s a series called Area 88 that’s about planes. There’s a trilogy of movies from the 80s and a tv series from the 00s. Finding all the openings might be a pain but considering the age, it might be interesting

i would love to see you react to all the openings from gundam but i feel like that would be a very long video since gundam has been around over 40 years but if you could only do then opening and endings for a few of then i recommend gundam seed/ seed destiny and gundam 00 this music from those 2 are so so good

You should hear an english cover of aliez, understanding the words makes it better. The only person I know who has done an english cover is Amalee which is just a badass cover of the song.
