Safe & Sound always felt like a song from Katniss to Primrose, whereas Eyes Open was more of Katniss’s internal dialogue. Katniss had to be on high alert for her entire life, and everything she ever did was to keep her little sister safe… and sound.

Getting to experience the release of these songs/albums TWICE. Is such a special, once-in-lifetime experience. No other artist has ever done something comparable. All of the Girls feels so full circle to me because it does remind me of Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. It was released in 2004 then she began opening for them in 2006 🥰 I am fully obsessed with it & my favorite line is “teenage love taught you there’s Good in goodbye” (as someone who dealt with a traumatic high school breakup) She is just so amazing ❤️

I am pretty sure that in the mashup that plays while she is coming out at Eras tour I've heard "16 and wild". Maybe it is a reason for why we got this now...😊 Also totally agree, that ATGYLB should have been on Lover. As much as I like daylight, I feel like this would have been a superior ending to the album!!! And finally, I love the parallel in the lyrics of mastermind " the planets and the fates and all the stars alligned" and ATGYLB "your past and mine are parallel lines, stars all alligned and they intertwined".

all of SN *must* be coming as secret songs for tour, since Enchanted is the only one on set list. here is my current dream scenario: T goes thru tour with her surprise songs, and all of a sudden we get to show after show after show where her secret song is a SN track...AND THEN WE GET ALBUM DROP. i think it would be suchhhh savvy-Taylor to use her own performances to preview the album ;D If that doesn't happen, I hope we get a couple more SN(TV) surprise track drops before the album lol. Maybe Sparks Fly, since she technically wrote it before original SN era?

I’m with you! Speak Now is so nostalgic for me. Apparently, she wrote If This Was A Movie for the platinum version of Fearless but scrapped it and included on Speak Now Deluxe instead. I wonder if this means that tracklists may change with the future Taylor's Versions and songs are grouped by when they were written not when they were released. By that logic, Sparks Fly would also be considered Fearless. I hope if that is the case that we get the new songs on official deluxe versions of Red (TV), Fearless (TV), and Lover and they're are released on streaming, vinyl, and CD.

I always loved the hauntingly beautiful “Safe and Sound” and it totally does sound more three dimensional here. The harmonies are even richer and just outright immaculate. And Joy and John Paul recording separately and being credited under their real names hurts my Civil Wars fangirl heart a bit. I guess they really are never ever getting back together…ever.:) I kinda love the idea of a 100% Taylor written - and now owned by Taylor - Speak Now. Seems like she also isn’t ready for us to see any cover art for Speak Now (TV) yet and I respect that. Now this might count as taunting, but what if Taylor releases SN (TV) before the World Tour of Eras kicks off and she switches up the setlist a bit to include more SN songs - maybe even some from the vault SN tuneage?

@@AllySheehan Poison & Wine and Barton Hollow are great introductory songs. If I remember correctly it was hearing Poison & Wine that initially drew Taylor in to become their most famous fangirl. They don’t have a huge discography since they basically imploded as they were recording their second album. But their harmonies are breathtaking.

Hi! I also enjoyed the Hannah Montana movie and the soundtrack. I think it would be great to have Taylor’s version of those songs as well. i’m with you. If this was a movie is speak now for sure and I know what you mean about newer fans thinking it will be on fearless. i’m going to the first of her Massachusetts shows in May. I love all the new songs that came out. I also liked eyes open when it was first released. I also enjoyed the original if this was a movie, but the new version is so good!!! I wish all the girls loved before was on the lover album as well. Hunger games songs are really good as well but eyes open is definitely my favorite of the two. it’s so good!
