This is a CHAWI wedding situated in east of Algeria we always do it when we pick up the bride from her parents house to wedding place with horses with a guns fire and on the way we to make lots of noise to let people know who’s getting married so it’s kind of an announcement but the last fews years it turned into a guns shouting competition 🇩🇿🔥🔥🔥🇩🇿
First of all Algeria is an immense country , and each region has it's own traditions,the wedding that we see in this video is taking place in east Algeria where people do have a special relationship with their shotguns, as a matter of fact the Algerian rebellion against the french started in this region ! In the south for instance wedding's celebration last 7 days...but nowadays in general people rent a banquet hall , invite their friends and relatives, have fun, dance, listen to music and leave at dawn.
