You have no idea how happy I was for seeing that you guys liked Ateez. Seriously, they are a huge ball of TALENT. They are so young (between 1998-2000) and yet they can do everything with perfection. They are handsome, hardworking, cute af, loveable... As a fan, Answer made me cry hard hahahaha. There's a story behind it (they are pirates seeking for a treasure), you guys should STAN and watch their MV's and trailers by chronological order and listen to theirs EP's, with lyrics and all ♡
You’re right there is a storyline but I’m completely baffled with what’s going on but yeah that’s the villain or a traitor that comes up at the end of the mv with a mask on (from what I’ve heard on twitter)
That anime character is mingi the main rapper and one of the main dancers also known as the stan collector lol and yes they actually do have a storyline they have been following since their debut album from a year ago they have 6 albums but one of them is a Japanese album which doesn't connect to the others but the other 5 are all connected. Basically their concept in their albums are them being pirate kings (which is also the name of their debut song) going in search of their treasure. The meaning behind their concept and storyline basically talks about the struggles between overwhelming ambition and personal growth. They end up going on a their journey to become pirate kings where along the way they end up facing many struggles one of them being the darkness that's growing inside of them that's full of greed which then leads them to have to fight against themselves along the journey. In this song they basically talk about how they have come into terms with their darkside which is why they're sitting in the dinner table together with their dark side cheering drinking champagne. They are no longer afraid of their dark side. If you read the lyrics you'll understand the plot in the video a little more (they always have lyrics in their video in their actual channel called KQ they have English and even spanish) and if you see all of their videos in order and read the lyrics the storyline falls into place and makes sense on what's going on in this video. All in all what they basically speak on is that everybody has a dark side and its okay to have one once you come into terms with it you no longer feel scared and alone you get to move on and feel free from the burden your dark side can put on you. Theres a lot more to the storyline but then this is just gonna become a book instead of a comment lol also nobody's sure if this is forsure the last album with this storyline at least. We also dont know who that person is behind the white mask what it means or if it even is a person.
If you have a few minutes, I would recommend to watch the explanation videos about ATEEZ storyline from a channel "Bookish Theories". She's amazing at explaining any kpop videos - BTS, Stray Kids, Red Velvet, EXO, TXT, etc. Her videos are about 10 minutes long. In one video she's explaining the whole ATEEZ story from the beginning to the "Wonderland" MV. And "Wonderland" and now "Answer" have their own explanations in separate videos. In short, they are on a quest to reach the treasure (which can be a metaphor for their journey to achieve success as musicians), but it's a difficult task and they also along the way have to deal with the inner conflict between their good and bad side (the bad side is represented by them wearing these hats and dark clothes). In "Answer" they seem to reach a compromise, when at the end they are making a toast with their "dark sides", while sitting face to face with them, as if the boys finally accepted the fact that they are also a part of them. Bookish Theories is better at explainig all of this, and that story is really complex and deep, and full of symbolism in MVs and lyrics, so I really recommend to watch her videos :)
Yes!!! Hype my boy Alan Walker *&* ATEEZ, fam! There was a little bit of everything in this Ateez song, EDM, Hip-Hop, & Classical. I am so proud of my guys & can't ewait to see what they have in store for us. BTW, the boat, sand, broken mirror, & Dark ATEEZ versions are concept references to their earlier videos.
The one in masks is the “bad ateez” and the one in gold is the “good ateez” and their trying to fight to find the treasure aka the title of the 3 albums together and the person at the end is the traitor
So the anime character guy you like is Mingi. Umm... You said quiet kid...?? Hahahahahaha... You wrong bro he is like one of the goofiest weirdest and loudest people I've ever seen/met in my entire fuckin life! Also him and Hongjoong (the other rapper with the short silver/white hair) are my biases 😍and Hongjoong is the leader.
he def is NOT the quiet kid lmaooooo love yalls reaction..yalls def know and love music! thank you for your reaction! def react to their hala hala performance video!
It was a series of 5 albums if you include this one ^^ They really went hard releasing stuff in 2019! They always have English subs too, but you may have been on the Stone Music channel posting of the MV! Thank you for reacting ✨ honestly you guys have such fun personalities
There are three albums with one full album. This is my ultimate bias group for nowwww. Hope u will continuously look into this group Thank you sooo muchhh I like how you two genuinely enjoy k pop. Ps. Btw try check out their Horizon live stage. It’s okay whether you do react it or not. I just think you two would like it! ;))
I'm enjoying your reaction with ateez. Please do more reaction about ateez in the future. The boys are very cool performer and the vocals is not joke too. They're very talented.
This is the last in the treasure series. It’s started with their debut Pirate kings and treasure then Say my name followed by Illusion and wave then wonderland and now Answer. Their pirate concept follows their journey to find their treasure on their way they face their struggles and evils which is ateez dressed in all in black (hala hala ateez)
I think you guys should react to their other songs and Stan then cuz I promise you will never regret...you should do react to their music's like wave, halos halla, illusion, say my name, pirate king, treasure, stay, promise, sunrise, twighlight, light, from, etc.lol
