I loved your opening remarks. I think most Aurora fans appreciate honest reactions, as long as they're respectful, even if they don't necessarily agree. A fake positive reaction is worthless. 👍
Appreciate you! And its so true they're so many fake reactors out there who pander to fanbases and it's not fair to them. even if you don't agree with someone, use it to debate rather than dislike. It's a real problem ppl have today they get aggressive when their own opinions aren't affirmed
@@zepreacts Yes, the key is to remain respectful, even when you don't really like something. Nobody wants to see someone or something they love absolutely trashed, but you can say that you don't like something while still respecting the artist and their fans.
Me too. I recently discoverd in my youtube history, that I actually had listened to few of her songs like two years before I started to get obsessed with her work. Don't know what clicked for me in the end. I remember thinking that she is kind of cute and interesting, but the voice is too high (everybody loves low voices, right?) and the songs seemed a little unusual. I think it must have been the understanding, that there is much more to her personality than in other artists, that shoved me into the rabbit hole. Then I was listening almost exclusively to her for two years.
Very nice reaction, I appreciate your honesty 👍 I know I gave you some suggestions on the last reactions, but here’s some more: “All is soft inside” live at KEXP Iceland 2018 “Soft Universe” live at Nidarosdomen 2017 “Soulless Creatures” live in Bergen 2020 It's Mother Earth writing to humankind about wanting to thrive again.
i'm happy you go back in her catalog. maybe you like to do her very first tv appearance with her song 'awakening' from 2014. from there on you could see how she becomes more and more confident. she was really afraid of big audiences in the first years but she delivered.
Agreed. It's insane how good she was live in the early years, considering how much she really didn't like performing at the time. But it also makes you appreciate how much she's come to love performing, even more.
You should definitely react to Lillm's suggestions, I don't think you have really listened to the right songs of hers based on you referring to her being poppy. Sure, she does some poppy songs, and I love them, but, what we, me at least, love most about Aurora are her sad, melancholy songs wrapped up in a warm hug from her, she has so many of them.
I would agree that there are some songs that you might find a bit more to your liking because she does not confine herself to any one genre or musical style, although all of her music is recognizably hers. Besides the songs mentioned by @lillm I’d suggest the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert live version of “Murder Song 54321”, anything at the 2017 Nidarosdomen Concert, particularly “Under Stars”, “Soft Universe”, “Through the Eyes of a Child”, and a different take on “Murder Song”, everything at the the KEXP Iceland 2018 Concert, the entire Haik Concert (2019), “It Happened Quiet” live at the Current, and perhaps two very different music videos: “The Seed” and “Apple Tree”. There are many others (live concerts at the Honda Stage and Glastonbury , both in 2016 that show a more rock edge to her performances) and all of it is a trip worth taking!
