Yes! This was such a strong, powerful and prideful moment and message for our people! Also it’s from the move King Richard which was the story about Venus and Serena Williams and their father who coached them to be stars! They are performing on the actual court in Compton, where the girls used to practice and that’s why Beyoncé and all of her dancers and singers and band are in that color which is like a tennis ball greenish yellow. It has so much symbolism in it and was so beautiful and well done. Also did you see her daughter Blu dancing at the end ❤

No they said that in homage to the city of Compton, not dre, bc that’s where Venus and Serena were raised. This performance is literally on the tennis court they grew up practicing/training on. She just added that beat from dre bc “why not?”, it was just a nice touch that’s all.
