I agree with you Smartgirlsrock, BTS has a ton of songs that are equally moving and heartfelt. Just trying to make this baby army aware that there are 6 other members that contribute to the wonderful world of BTS. Tear is one of my favorites, Ugh, and 2U, he hasn’t scratched the surface yet.
Jimin’s live vocals is just amazing, every performance is breathtaking. His voice just stands out so much, it’s distinct, unique, refreshing, rich and powerful.
@@user-cb7mq4wb1u yes yes jimin's raspy light angelicness vs V's (searches for appropriate word, can't find one lol) heavy sultry and soulfulness is awesome
..... not really. They're both stylistic singers, with a similar technique (breathy, soulful, stylized). They just have different ranges/ occupy different areas of the scale. But neither of them can fully occupy either a soprano or bass range, so they're not polar opposites on that front either. V is a baritone and that's not the "polar opposite" of a counter-tenor, which would be a Bass. In classical terms, they're both mid-ranges, baritone being the most common male voice and counter-tenor occupying the same range as a contralto (the lowest female singing voice) which lies at middle of the scale.
JIMIN's voice fits so perfectly with this. I don't think voices like him even exist. It's just perfect blend where he can go beautifully low as well as high and it all ends up sounding perfect.
Jimin is an amazing vocalist.. he naturally has a much higher tone than the others so the high notes are easier to do for him compared to like v who is a baritone…. But jimin cannot sing lower notes well at all really… but it’s bc his natural register is higher… he always struggles with older songs bc a lot of them are in lower registers.. and his voice cracks or simply can’t hit the lower notes like the others can. I always feel bad for him when they do the old songs… bc he can’t sustain them without forcing a growl into it to cover that he can’t hit the note. He can def sing mid range beautifully… but the lower the note the lower the strength for him and that’s okay bc he’s human lol they all have unique aspects to them that fill in for others weaknesses.
this song references the old italian tale and “La Città di Smeraldo” that talks about a man who hides in his house because he’s afraid of showing himself. as he watches from the window, he falls in love with a woman stealing flowers from his garden to sell them. trying to help her, he grows a special flower, the smeraldo, so that she can earn more money from it, but the woman dies before she is able to see it or meet the man. it is definitely one of bts' best ballads. if you like this i recommend "house of cards" and "spring day". you also loved "butterfly" in the jimin fancam reaction. jin solo songs like "epiphany" and "awake" have a similar feeling. i would love to see you react to taehyung's solos too, i know you will love "singularity". also, like suga said, "you'll like bts' music if you listen without prejudice." :)
The Truth Untold could make a grown man cry. Like this makes the emotions come. They coming after our tear ducts (Edit: Omg Thanks so much for the likes. Never got so many, ever.)
you should reaction on this BTS(방탄소년단) home party-JK, JH, JM - 3J Dance Full and this on to BTS Jimin and Jungkooks dance to Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” BTS Prom Party Festa 2018
Jimin singing in his unique voice touches deep on my heart and soul. This song, so hard to sing yet so beautiful, is no exception. I think it's mainly the way he conveys the feelings of the songs with such sincerity.
I really love your reaction especially when jimin hit that high note. He nailed it. Please you should react to Jimin best live high notes and raspy vocals by Jem i bet you love it
Nigel pls read!! Here's info that some still aren't aware of: ❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals. JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 2 yrs in a row for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, now 3 yrs in a row, as well!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Aside from all that Jimin has won other countless award, broken many records. His 5 solos have broken charting records worldwide, as well as being top seller, plus most listened to. Also breaking records for being #1 branding marketing idol, every single month for now over two & half yrs, a feat never achieved before, and still ongoing! The term the "Jimin Effect" is now in the Urban Dictionary! So much more as well but will stop here.
I do love The Truth Untold. It does make me uneasy at times, though, because it is a song that's very hard on their voices, and during the tour this was the song they struggled with the most. Having been singing and dancing, and then trying to reach the notes in this song - by the end of the tour they were just worn down. Jimin had his struggles when he got sick and had a sore throat and just could not sing his high notes - but fans sang with him. Making Jimin cry. It was a beautiful and sad moment at the same time
I felt so bad for Jimin, you could tell he just did not feel well and he probably felt bad he couldn't sing as well as he usually does. But ARMY and Jungkook sang for him.
That’s my boy main vocalist jungkook with the crazy ad libs and harmonies on this track. He is absolutely my favorite when it comes to this song… each member absolutely provoked a ton of emotion… they sing their parts beautifully.. every single member so far an I’ve average they excel… but jungkooks ad libs and harmonies at the end is what sends it far over the top for me. Chills everytime I hear this bc the boys just perform this with their hearts and I love how they get lost in the music. This is what made me start noticing Jk at the end of all their songs and his ad libs and they always end up being my favorite parts. The songs are already amazing and I’m just saying that is why he’s my favorite in these performances for this song… purely opinion… but the extras like his ad libs and harmonies are part of the reason that even though he’s the youngest and was only 15 when they debuted… he has been their main vocalist since then, sub rapper, lead dancer and their “center” for performances… how he handled the pressure of being in the role of main vocalist which means he’s the highest level or best vocalist. It’s if you take everything that it takes for a main vocalist which is so much more than having the most parts or hitting more high notes… there’s so many aspects to it and if you look at all that then JK is definitely the choice… however that doesn’t mean that the other 3 don’t do certain things better than he does.. they’re each so unique with how they sing and their tone bd can be better than him at stuff lol they’re insanely talented and not one bad member…but just proud of jungkook and his growth as a young man and vocalist… he def takes his role very seriously… I’m just so proud to be an army and get to hear these four sing something like this that is so powerful and emotional… it’s gorgeous… and they’re even better people than they are talented or good looking… that makes me love them and respect them so much more!!! 💜
4:57 PERIOD! I preach this to so many people on a constant man like just because a song isnt in your native language doesnt mean you cant like it or vibe with it?
Nigel…react to Jimins promise and Christmas love please. Theres no official mv for either but you can look at a fmv, but please react to those 2 songs.
This is one of my favourite, so beautiful, message is so deep. And how they sing. And in the end , jimins last part..im sold. Jimin is my ultimate bias so i love everything he will do
You speak facts regarding the lyrics. Once others get past the fact that they sing in Korean and view the lyrics no one can deny these guys are talented. Their songs are not just trendy crap, they have meaning. I have been binging your video for the past week and want to thank you for having an opened mind. I think you would also like House of cards, Let me know and Rain.
This is by far one of the prettiest songs ever written. It has so many subliminal messages in it. It could be referring to a number of things, and still be on point. They are all amazing singers. Jungkook's harmonizing in the background, "TAKES THE CAKE"! His voice penetrates to the soul. Jin's voice is touching and soothing. V's voice is so raspy and sensual. Jimin's voice literally gives you chills and lifts you from the earth!! They don't miss not one NOTE!! JK is so honest and humble. He loves expressing himself through song. He loves singing and it shows. These guys are amazing. 😊😍😘😅💜💜💜💜👁LOVE THEM !!!!!
So Nigel I just saw this reaction. This song is also one of my favorites. It is so emotional and beautiful and almost heartbreaking. The first few times I listened to it I cried.
This was the song that brought me to BTS. I heard my daughter playing it and asked “Who is that? It’s beautiful” and another ARMY was born. That was Sept 2020 and I fall in love with them more each and every day. I love your personality and reactions. You definitely don’t need the haters, you’ve got ARMY right behind you as RM says in Butter. Borahae 💜
This is one of my favorite BTS songs, *they have EXCELLENT B-sides* and this is a perfect example so *I'm sure you will like many of their B-sides like:* - LOUDER THAN BOMBS (there is no live) - PARADISE (same) - HOME (live) - DIMPLE + PIED PIPER (live) - LOVE MAZE (live) - WISHING ON A STAR (live) - A SUPLEMENTARY STORY (live) - LIKE (you can see it on ARMYPEDIA, they sang 3 old songs like that. Live) - LET GO (live) - Dont leave me
This song is frickin' amazing. And this is THE BEST PERFORMANCE of this song. I'm so glad you saw it. I love that you love them. :) Welcome to the ARMY! :)
TTU had the same effect on me... it was so deep and first time hearing it even if I didn't know lyrics then, the way the beat goes hard (btw Steve Aoki produced this) and the beautiful melody and their passionate singing, got me emotional and vulnerable, it just resonated through me. It's crazy indeed to like/love/feel for songs you don't even know meanings to at first, so I get you. It's just how good of a song it is, and how beautifully BTS vocal line interpreted/sang it.
This is also one of my favorite songs. I love the power in Jin's voice (my bias) but to be fair - Jimin actually had a bad sore throat in this performance, so for him to still hit his notes is pretty darn impressive!
You know what, Nigel, what you said about not bothering to listen to songs in other languages in the past, and understanding your friends’ resistance to it. Well, one of the achievements of BTS is to break that LANGUAGE barrier. They have near to 30 million fans across the world, the majority of whom do not speak Korean. RM said in one of his speeches that MUSIC transcends language, race, colour, gender identity… That one band of 7 young men got the world opening their ears and hearts to lyrics many of us don’t even understand to begin with. We get the feelings, we get the issues, they are universal. And notice, Nigel, their declared mission is to make music for healing… So, if you can get your friends not to lose out on it all… just imagine opening up this whole new world to them!
The four BTS members are the vocal line - Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Their voices blended together is AMAZING!!!!! RM, JHope and Suga are the Rap line of the group. :)
This is the one moment during the concert that army is quiet! They perform this beautiful song followed by the rap line doing outro-tear, which is also incredibly emotional but so aggressive in comparison. They just compliment each other so nicely cause they perform with such passion💜💜💜💜
Definitely also one of my favorite BTS songs that made me Army! I agree with your comment that it’s all about how the music & the vocals make me feel and how they executed so beautifully and professionally, which also showed me they could seriously sing and not just another boy band of 1 or maybe 2 good singers. This song hit me in places I didn’t know could be reached. Continue to keep an open mind & heart, BTS will continue to reveal so much!
I Remember when i first got into BTS and this song was just released it also became my favorite especially after hearing about the story behind it, its been years and i still regularly listen to this song
This is one of my top BTS songs as well.... If you really vibe with the beautiful vocals & emotional lyrics, consider reacting to their song "Your Eyes Tell" It's composed by Jungkook and he intended to put it on his solo mixtape, but BigHit sent the melody to a Japanese film company looking for theme song for a film about a boxer who falls in love with a woman losing her sight - and they snapped the song up So JK's lyrics had to be re-written to fit the film, and vocal parts were given to all the BTS members to be a group project... It's really beautiful, vocals to DIE FOR, and sung completely in Japanese
I think my fave part of this is that other than singing along some specific lines, that gigantic audience is *dead silent.* No random screaming etc. -- everyone gets mesmerized by this song. Their producer (Pdogg) has said it's his favorite song and very, very difficult to sing.
Just to point out that Steve Aoki was the producer of this song and not Pdogg! Hehe I'm just pointing that out because some people can get confuse and think that the truth untold is Pdogg's favourite song out of the ones he has produced since you specifically said their producer instead of one of their producers... So it can lead to confusion... I even got confused for a second!
@@sebin263 No worries! You're totally right :) Pdogg didn't produce this one and I can see the confusion. I don't want to give the wrong impression. Thanks!
