Their English has improved a lot. I think they all can understand even if they don't speak well. I'm in awe of people who speak more than one language. I respect BTS as they are willing to speak English (a language they are not totally fluent) in such a public environment.

Yes, example: Yoongi understand english but cant speak fluently like Namjoon

Yeah I'm pretty sure Yoongi is a lot closer to fluent than we get to see! And they've all worked hard.

JK works so hard on pronunciation! Their willingness to speak imperfect English has made it easier for me to try to learn Korean. I know if I was talking to one of them they'd be encouraging, not critical of my mistakes.

If they can learn English… For me, this is a reminder: I got a Rosetta Stone subscription for Christmas; time for me to buckle down and study BTS’s💜✨language-Korean.

I'm a few months in on Duolingo (which isn't a good way to learn Korean, I spend a lot of time with other resources - but it keeps me going). It's a fascinating and very hard language for me. I get why English is so challenging for them - they're just completely different.

I know Jin has been an exchange student to aussie, maybe after that he didn't practice anymore.. cz his english is pretty good tho. And now some of members take an english class

That's my goal for 2023, learning more Korean. I had a stroke a few years ago and my brain has had a difficult job retaining information. However, after a year and a half of studying Korean vocabulary, I'm finally getting to a point where I can actually remember what I study. Since I can remember things better now, I'm going to sit down and seriously study the language.

I don't make resolutions or anything, but I'm going to keep working on learning Korean for sure, and continue to focus on my health. I do have one big goal, which is to be able to go for a hike by spring. Bad knee injury a year ago - I'm just walking unassisted now.
