💜The Truth Untold - this is how they conceptualised the song: They created a very old and sad story called, 'La Città di Smeraldo' that takes place in a small town in Italy ( in the 16th Century -1500's). The story's about an 'ugly' man who hid in an old castle alone, even though he was a gentle good person, because of his looks he received lots of hate & cruelty while growing up. He never opened his heart to anyone. Eventually if anyone tried to approach him, he covered his deformed face with a mask and hid in fear, ...So he became bitter and angry. His one happiness in life was to plant beautiful flowers in his walled off garden. One night a woman appeared near the man's castle. She jumped over the garden fence and stole a flower. This angered the man at first. So he watched his garden all night. But when he fell asleep, the woman took another flower. This continued for several nights. The man pretended to be asleep and watched the woman steal a flower. He started becoming curious about the woman. He began waiting for her. Without realizing he started waiting for her to come and each day began to seem a little brighter. Following after her one day he realized that she was selling the flowers that she stole from him to try to make a living. The man falling in love so desperately wanted to help the woman. But he was afraid she would be terrified by the way he looks if he approached her. He 'knew' she would never be able love his 'grotesque' appearance. He came to a conclusion that the only way he would be able to help her is to keep himself hidden and let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. The man decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet. So that the woman could sell them at a expensive price. He began to create the flower in his castle. After many unsuccessful attempts, the man created the most beautiful of all flowers (The Smeraldo Flower) and filled his garden with these beautiful flowers. But the woman stopped coming. No matter how long he waited she never came back to his garden. He eventually found out that the woman had starved to death before he could give her the flower that would have saved her. If only he had been brave enough to approach her😭 The smeraldo flower plays a part in the Bangtan Universe storyline, and you will see it in various MVs. Can you pls react to Magic Shop song? magic shop is one of bts' b-side songs which is very special for army and bangtan. This song was written and produced by our youngest member Jungkook and sung by all seven members. magic shop itself here means psychodramatic action to deal with fear in a better way. In the BTS comeback press conference at that time, Jungkook said that he wrote this song for ARMY and people who are having difficulties. In 2019, Magic Shop was used as the theme for the bangtan aniv concert. the term magic shop can often be said as a "safe place" by army which refers to the world of army and bangtan. and also, the performance of this song is one of their best performances💜

💕("Thursday's Child Has Far To Go"), is a phrase from Mother Goose's mother rhyme, meaning taking care of yourself to become a more attractive person after a breakup instead of falling down and being discouraged. hashtag '# breakup_glowup' was borrowed as the main theme. Taehyun participated in composing and writing the lyrics, and Beomgyu participated in producing, adding more meaning to the song. 💕💕

I loved this era of BTS. This album had a lot of references to flowers and masks and the inability to show your true self with songs like fake love, truth untold and singularity. Which then transitions into their next album about loving oneself and accepting your flaws with songs like idol, answer: love myself, and epiphany.

seriously, the studio versions of Truth Untold and House of Cards are bland compared to the live versions. The Truth Untold is not about themselves, but a story. It's interesting that people in the West find House of Cards sexy, while it's a very sad story. :P Anyway....listen to the live versions, really. :)

i haven't seen anybody explain the thursday's child thing yet so i'm gonna give it a try there's an old nursery rhyme that's supposed to predict your future from your day of birth, and was also probably made for kids to remember the days of the week it goes monday's child is fair of face tuesday's child is full of grace wednesday's child is full of woe (this part was also referenced in wednesday on netflix, explaining that she was named after this poem) thursday's child has far to go (the song!) friday's child is loving and giving saturday's child works hard for a living and the child born on the sabbath day (sunday) is bonny and blithe, good and gay so what i got from the song is that it's pretty much about embracing the fact that they have a long way to go and enjoying the path :)

I love the truth untold and house of cards and live performances hits different really (personally when I listen ttu I think about how on tour taehyun lost his voice and can’t perform this song, armys sang his part but he was so upset and crying about how he can’t show better performance for people who’s that concert was only one chance to see bts so it’s really sad song for me) AND in bts universe exists flower (idk how it writes in english but something like smeraldo??) and it’s mean “the truth untold” so garden and flower they sing about is smeraldo. Also jin like main character and who can time traveling and travel between different universes he is that person who can’t say the truth, for example he tries to protect this flower in fake love mv. About Replay: I didn’t know it was Korean. It was a song I heard somehow and loved it. I used to search for it to hear it again and again. I assumed it was American R&B. So, Shinee’s debut song was my first k-pop song. Well now you have to watch Sherlock. It’s another Shinee song that TXT covered very well.
