One of my favorite Japanese songs by them! It’s another masterpiece from JK! This song was written as an OST for a Japanese drama called Your Eyes Tell. It’s about the love between a former kickboxer and a girl that went blind after an accident. When you put the lyrics into context, they become even more powerful! “I’ll become your eyes on this journey ahead”, that line always gets me! and Jimin’s high note sends me to heaven. All of their voices sound heavenly. 💜
I love this song so much. The vocal line part after RM is my favorite - the progression from V to JK to Jin to finally Jimin’s cry is just perfectly done. The right progression of voices with increasing intensity and emotion is hard to get right and is just beautiful here. I love all of their voices. For whatever reason, sometimes it feels like Jin and Jimin’s voices were made to sing Japanese. I have no idea why, but they seem particularly suited for it. Don’t worry, I cry every time. It’s just one of those songs.
One of my fave ballads along with 'Truth Untold' and 'House of Cards'! Fun fact: Miss Britta, who runs 'EnjoyBTSMore' YT channel has a video where she explains to us how she found BTS. And this was the song that started it all! Her channel is oh so helpful for all of us international ARMY💜

This was originally meant to be on Jungkook's mixtape, but it was selected for an OST and reworked for all of them. Jungkook isn't the only one who write gorgeous, emotional love songs to Army, but he does do them incredibly well. 💜

JK is a genius when it came to Your Eyes Tell and Film Out. His vocals amd harmonies are also the chefs kiss. Your Eyes Tell is my fav group ballad and Truth Untold is my fav vocal line ballad.
This song and Still With You are why I really hope that in the future, Jungkook gives us an album of music he writes. I do love Golden, but I would really like to hear the things he can come up with as well.

JK wrote for his own mixtape. Movie director heard demo and wanted it for movie. JK watched movie and rewrote some of lyrics to match movie. Also scaled higher for JMs voice, knowing rest of VL could handle higher range. He also handled line distribution so all could shine.
Even without the translation, this song does exactly what it's supposed to - it filled me with sorrow and hope the first time I heard it, and took my breath away. It's sad but it's not just sad. It feels like hope at the same time... It's really so beautiful, and I love how every member shines.

Instead of singing in an easy-to-sing form, the two sing in plain Japanese to deliver their feelings. It might be easy to change the consonants or put in weird breaks to make it easier to sing, but it doesn't get to the heart of the song. Of course, it's difficult for everyone because it's not their native language, but Jin and JK chose a difficult path. Thank you and respect. And what makes Jin shine even more in Japanese songs is his excellent emotional expression and ability to tell stories. We often like warm, narrative songs that sound a bit classical.
I always enjoy this song.. so beautiful. I suggest you to react to another two japanese songs: "Lights" and "Stay Gold" .. this last one realeased during pandemic time ... They both had official MV Regards from Mexico 💜
Knowing where the song came from, I hadn't thought of how appropriate the song could be for ARMY, but it really is fitting. Thank you for pointing that out. FYI, this song was really difficult for Tae. He has the lowest voice of the vocal line and hitting those high notes was really difficult for him.

Jin and Jimin when they sing in Japanese is on a different level. There voices, the emotion, all of it is just different. They embody every word of that song.
