I'm torn betwixt the SAT and ACT . The intricate structure of the SAT leaves me mystified and curious to delve deeper. In stark contrast , the ACT explores the inexplicable world of scientific questionnaire , every inch of the paper enthralling me . I conclude, deduce and culminate : it doesn't matter.
Friend, if you are actually torn betwixt sat and act, you could just try taking a prac test of both and see which u score higher on. There's conversions for the scores online. lolzies.
I’m Maher LMAOOOO sorry 😭 I was so stressed while dming you and unfortunately was at my lowest in self esteem (hence the Reddit post). I spoke with a lot of credible people and they mentioned that I shouldn’t be too worked up on just the major and apply. Thanks for the advice about not holding back and following through
It's all love bro - I genuinely do want to see you succeed. When you're done applying to colleges and get into a T-20 school for CS, DM me and I'll call u as a congratulations.
Like you, I will take multivariable calculus, ordinary differential equations and linear algebra, but i will have all of them finished by end of junior year (with all A’s, 1550 sat, and AIME quals) Do you think these classes will help a lot in my college apps? Did they help for you?
@@ryanrodrigue9653 stop asking ridiculously self-centered questions. Be realistic with yourself; the further you go in any line of subject matter directly correlates to your proficiency and maturity. It is completely impossible for that to negatively impact in any way. No body likes people that boast their intelligence, and it is usually the most insecure, unintelligent individuals that feel the incentive to do so.
@@tolememDon’t feel down, most of these applications are made by very competitive people who are educated early by their siblings or parents. I am also one of those people.
As an eighth grader looking through college app videos to see what I should do in high school to set up for a good application who also doesn't know what I want to do, this was helpful and all your videos are very helpful :D (I'm also slightly terrified hahaha)
Hey Pratik, this was a super helpful video. It kinda felt like it summarized and emphasized the most important aspects of a college application to focus on with these real world example apps. During the video I mentally kept referring various tips you mentioned back to the topic specific videos you made on this channel. Currently a rising sophomore in high school, so I still have time to apply the treasure trove of tips and tricks that you offer. Thanks for everything P!
This is kinda making me stressed out with how behind I am at as a current sophomore… But I definitely need the video to know how much I still need to work on!
You should deff make more college app reviewing videos Pratik it's inspiring for us students who are doing the essays and anything else. Hope u continue the series Pratik.
would you be willing to review one for someone wanting to just apply to an in-state, not super crazy prestigious college like harvard but i wanna know if u think i can just get into that school bc its my dream school??
Hey man, quick question. How important/necessary do u think national/international awards are? Given a good academic profile, decent ECs (a couple pretty time consuming ones that relate to my intended major and others in and out of school with leadership, but nothing mind blowing), etc?
You said that as an international student the personal essay could be a little bit different: the topic, structure and language. What does it mean? Could you elaborate?
Yo preaching, I am doing research for ISEF but I don't know the procedure for getting it published, I was wondering if you have or can make a video about that?
I think he has a couple videos about that on his channel, so maybe you can check those out? Also, one of his friends that he often collabs with (Rishab Jain) also has some amazing videos about research and getting it published. Hope it helps.
Pratik this is really good bro and I would like to see more of these in the future. I just sent in my college app format to your email so I’m looking forward to that Episode 2! 👀
Hi Pratik! I just wanted to ask if Model United Nations is a good extracurricular for college. Is it something that I should put effort into? Or should I focus on other things?
Hey!! A few videos ago, Pratheek said he'd actually rank it as one of the worst 😭. You can find it on his channel; something like "Harvard students rank extracurriculars" posted like 3-4 videos ago
If by "test blind" you mean that they don't look at SAT/ACT tests, most schools aren't that way. But if the tests you are talking about are the ones that influence the grades you have in your classes, then yes, they don't look at those. But they will look at your class grades/gpa.
@@TurboPacks Yes I mean the SAT It seems most students that get into these big schools have the SAT/ACT or some AP courses I don’t have any of those but my high school GPA is around 3.8/4.0 and I don’t know if it’s enough
this video was very helpful for me i would request you to make more video like this and can you please make a full video where you are telling how can a international student should prepare for getting in good university like currently i am in class 9 and i want to get in good university i am having many query and i really need help like i want to contact some one who can tell me every thing it would be great if you will make a video on it or advise me directly i request you please please please and i am thank full if you have read this comment and help me thank you 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
