No chance David got demonetized ages ago. He made very short but great videos to gain subs, fans and then ridiculous sponsors. Gets paid hundreds of thousands just from tik toks. Close to 500k Sidemen and many other youtubers just stretch out videos for the ad revenue which decreases quality and doesn't reach as far. The reacts channel the sidemen did is an example of that
@@Mainlyeverything I’m not talking revenue but you make a fair point but more subs means more brands want to advertise on your channel(s) which means more revenue. Also think about JJs fights I feel like they could do so much more vlogs and personal stuff surrounding non RU-vid content.
@@olivermurray1485 fair enough I just think Americans are more marketable in general so subs to uk youtubers doesn't make a massive difference. Even the college kids in debt in the USA will spend ludicrous amounts on crappy merchandise. David and even Logan make millions when they release a new set within days whereas merch in the UK is quite rare Ksi and vikk both have a lot of reach but ksi is more marketable. But not fussed as he has a property empire and the bank from the fights lol
Honestly the Sidemen, particularly Josh, lament (imo) too much about not having a US audience. Just because they don't have Faze and Dobrik bread they're all still incredibly breaded. The Sidemen wouldn't be who they are if they had Logan Paul and Dobrik audience. Speaking as an American, obviously, we want to see the Sidemen leverage their brand as much as possible but it's just disappointing sometimes to see how they feel like they're never enough and that the type of subscribers doesn't matter seemingly at all vs the number of subscribers. The reddit would be totally different, the banter would be totally different, views would be dead, communities would completely change. Mass often times means dilution of culture. Which coming from Josh, an OG in the game, is surprising to see. Yes, we all understand how property value works, it just comes off a little weird at times how this man is breaded and is looking at the next man a certain way because he's even more caked. The 1% looking at the .01% feeling disappointed in themselves... it's a little ridiculous without perspective.
