This is not The Voice. It's a Russian TV show called "You're Super!". Chairs and buttons are similar to The Voice, but there are no blind auditions and this show is only for disadvantaged children to complete. This was not Diana's first appearance. Contestants need at least 3 judges votes (by pushing buttons) to progress to the next round. Yes, Diana is quite amazing and unique. Enjoy. :)

Another Popular song is Diana Ankudinova ( human ) It is in English , she also does Spanish and French very well . She seems to make all the songs her own . She has turned 16 years old about 2 months ago .

Hi Jenn, nice reaction. please, react to "rechenka", in my opinion her best interpretation, not only for the impressive versatility it shows in that song, but also for the sensational body expression, something surprising for a teenager (14 years old when she performed that song in the contest). All this added to the scenery make it a mystical experience, you will surely enjoy it. Thank You for your time and analysis, love your insights! Diana's performance of this composition is so emotional and I enjoyed this very much. For a performer to emote at such a young age is amazing to me. I'm a fan ! Diana just released an album of 3 songs. 01-23-20 She's now 16 yrs old, I can tell the improvement in her singing, she's growing up so fast. We can only hope Diana will continue to improve at music school. Her future is so bright! Diana's performance of Rechenka (River) is even better. This is an old ritual song about an orphan bride. The girl has no parents. The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. She goes to the river and asks for the blessing of marriage, she says that there are many people at home, but there is no father and mother. You hear Diana singing in a whisper, these are the words of the deceased mother of the bride. Then the girl is crying. In Russia, weddings sang sad songs to scare away evil, and the marriage of a young couple was happy. Such songs were called “weeping.” The figures behind Diana are spirits of water and forest

Now that was a nice reaction Jenn. After all the covers on this song 3 are my favorites. The originals from Chris back in "89" ( which I fell in love with back then) Then there's Diana Ankudinova I love how she took it & made a big production without letting it overwhelm her & she turned it into a great Pop song in a modern way with a little Russian folk song style to it. I believe Diana is a either a contralto profondo or a low contralto. Than there's Angelina Jordan's arrangement & composition of it, she went the exact opposite direction completely stripped it down on just her little keyboard in her room playing 3-4 cords & just telling a story using her voice just amazing. (Side note when asked about her doing this song she said " that one day she just went into her room & wanted to play around with song & it's words) & as they say the rest is history. Thank you for your reaction to Diana Ankudinova. Diana actually turned 16 on 31st May 2019, but was 15 at the time of this performance. The show she is on here is Ты супер! (translated as "You are Super") and it is for children who have found themselves without parental care at some point in life. According to the programme, Diana was abused by her biological mother until around the age of 3 years, and ended up in an orphanage. While there, a massage nurse named Irina Ponik took care of her, and a strong bond was formed, to the extent that a year afterward Diana was adopted by Irina, and Irina has been her "Mom" ever since. It seems that for the first year or so Diana would hardly speak, and singing lessons were recommended, and the rest is history. Diana is now with a loving family, and her music training goes from strength to strength. Since winning the show, she has received much support from Igor Krutoy, the bald guy on the judges panel, and who is one of Russia's foremost composers and song writers. You may have seen him play piano for Dimash sometimes. Diana's cover of "Rechenka" a Russian folk song, on the same show in 2018 is something else, and very much worth watching. Hello there Jenn thank you so much for your reactions to Diana Ankudinova she is a gifted singer I apologize for being so late with my reply as I just discovered Diana on RU-vid threw these reactions I did some research into her she has had a interesting and possibly dark life I've also discovered she can go to the high notes I think she sings in the darker low notes to give the songs a presence aside from herself she does speak with a normal voice it saddens me me that I can only find her on RU-vid the world should know of this gifted child

Since 2 years I'm a Diana's fan. I think I saw all her videos, including those of her very young childhood. So many of her performances are great, it's hard to make a choice. Her name is Diana (Dee-Anna) Ankudinova (Ann-coo-din-ova). The show is called You're Super. It's for disadvantaged children in Russia. Diana was an abused child by her birth mother who eventually abandoned her at about age 4. Diana was nearly mute when adopted by Irina Potnik. Her adoptive mother had her take singing lessons to help her communicate. She's been singing ever since. Diana was born on May 31st 2003. Hopefully Diana will be coming to America soon. She's destined to be a worldwide superstar.

She creates the low sound by pulling her tongue back into the throat. Some singers use this technic for a short time like Shakira. Diana has somehow made this technique her own what is truly amazing.

She was 15 here , Russian prodigy, Angel 😇 she has a true Contralto Voice , her tone , voice control is epic ..she will be 18 in may, next you should react to Rechenka.. translate to River, very old russian folk song she turns into epic performance..her childhood was tragic abuse, beaten and nearly killed by her birth mother , found her on the street in the middle of winter with a broken shoulder at 4 years old taken to a orphanage and did not speak or not well , a wonderful women who worked there adopted her and sent her to singing lessons to help her with her speech, now everyone is speachless! For a complete understanding of Diana you must understand that in fact she began to sing before speaking! Her mother was an alcoholic and did not care about the child at all, Diana was constantly hungry and no one even spoke to her. And when Diana was about three years old, her "mother" tried to drown her in the bathroom! Diana broke free and ran away from the house, on the street passers-by picked her up and took her to the police station, Diana was placed in an orphanage, and her mother was deprived of her parental rights. There was a nurse in the orphanage who loved Diana so much that she adopted her. But the child actually did not know how to talk at all, because NOBODY talked to her until three years old! Her speech apparatus was completely undeveloped! After long trips to various doctors, the adoptive mother was advised to take Diana to a vocal studio in order to facilitate the development of speech abilities more easily. That is why Diana from four years old is constantly engaged in singing - and God grant the health and happiness of her real mother (not a fake biological one) for saving this soul and talent for all of us! And it is precisely the difficult fate and personal history that allows Diana to FEEL every song, she’s not just “singing words” or imitating someone’s performance, but she is experiencing SENSE - it is clear that she LIVES with music, and not just shows talent ... Vocal coaches call Diana's technique...a "Yawn"? Her lowest note here was F3 I believe. So lowest of the alto range. Check out her Yodel one. That's the one you hear her "normal" voice the most (though even during yodeling she inserts a bit the low part) ^^
