I’m so appreciative of the high octane, mega ups and downs that Divide gives us in most of his tracks. With that being said, these smooth ride pieces that are moving with simplicity and vocals leading the track are refreshing as well. Divide and Chewie, you murdered as always. Great reaction Dave!
If you liked Chewiecatt you should react to his own Jax song "I dont care" if you havent already. Another artists you would like is PixelSpider with boundless succession and wooden knight.
I noticed in the chorus during the instrumentals in most parts of the score there's hit hats with cymbols as well mixed with the snare is a good mixture for smooth jazz as you know, but the trumpet blasts in some parts just hit your chest in a different way when it all connects! ive also got a request for you, you should give the original song of insane (1920) from black gryphon a listen if you're into the jazz scene, at any rate glad to finally see someone else who appreciates instrumentals and vocal performances as much as you do. Keep doing what you're doing dave!
Normally don't do recommendations, but I gotta ask for your reaction and thoughts on Ajustall's Einherjar and God Fighters Cypher for Record of Ragnarok, have a feeling you'll like them!
The word you were thinking of is inevitable. Like fate is inevitable. The vibes I got from that "glitch monster" section is when a powerful character calmly WALKS towards you while taking down your guards using their power without breaking a sweat. And then they pause to stare at you in the eye while smirking cuz why not?
I don't know what's going on, like it is just me or has Divide been missing lately. Like I haven't been impressed with anything he's made so far this year. I was really let down by "No Way Out Reimagined" like I thought the instrumentation was basic and boring, like I felt nothing listening to it. And I listened to it twice bty. Then "Let's see a smile" I just couldn't get into it, I felt like ti was repetitive, and to me, it didn't feel like Alastor. Divide's vocals, just I don't know what's going on, just nothing he's made this year has had ANY impact on me other than just "eh that was all right." And I LOVE DIVIDE MUSIC! LOVE LOVE LOVE him! I"m just getting no enjoyment, no emotion, nothing. Am I going crazy, am I outgrowing him? Seriously, somebody help me right now.
My opinion: my man doesn’t miss. You just gotta go into each song with different expectations. We know Divide does metal and it is definitely tier one. But these bops and swings he’s been putting out lately are a treat for me.
