Bonvoyage is a great song, but for me, "Demian" and "Propose" became my favorite songs. They did a live of "Propose" on a korean radio channel on youtube (I highly recommend).
I love Demian, but there is something about Propose that just has me and it’s fighting against Break the wall and Can’t get you out of my mind to get into my top 5 b-side tracks..
The beginning of Reason shows the title track performance at every showcase up to Vision and so Scream & Boca's stages don't have Handong but they go by so fast that you wouldn't notice. 🤷🏾♀️ Reason is the 6th anniversary song and the recent US tour was the Reason tour. I don't think that there are any performances of Reason beyond the tour so far. It's okay to not have a fan song resonate with you. I like a lot of groups and tbh I only consume content from my ults. So if a group is outside of that I can appreciate the sentiment of a fan song but not feel it as strongly.
I'm not surprised that everyone was confused by the floating three-eyed furball but I love that every single reactors been like 'Yoohyeon's on a... horse? Why is there a horse??' lol
dreamcatcher \:D/ of course one could interpret the lyrics as being between two people, but in the context of the apocalypse trilogy it would be between earth and humanity. one way you can interpret the visual plot is that they came to earth to save it and gave rather gloomy visions in the first two of the series. here, it's a more hopeful message that the earth can come back. that floating furball thing is somewhat of a metaphorical seed where the planet can be regrown. in the mv, you see plants(and animals represented by the horse) confined within that structure as if it was needed to be protected from the outside world which was lifeless and colorless. where bon voyage comes in is their efforts were successful and they could leave hence the celebratory fireworks and turning off the force field at the end. it's also the only mv since fly high where you see them smile brightly to signify humanity's success in saving the planet. hope things continue to go well for you. just remember dami's line in tension 'you're doing great right now'
"it's live" just put up a teaser for their upcoming artists/performances and dreamcatcher is part of that. so dc at "it's live" is definitely coming. 😉

Welcome back! I hope you are doing better! "Reason" is the fan-song for Dreamcatcher's 6th anniversary. I can't even begin to describe how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. InSomnia might be lifting them up, but they should know, they are also carrying us. Can you imagine this song live? With us InSomnia going Whoooo-whoooaaa and them singing over it? 😊 I wouldn't be surprised if the animations were done by a fan, I seem to recognize the style. Whoever did them, they did a great job. I see the book from the Nightmare arc, the mask from Scream, the gun from R.o.S.E Blue, the gagged bust from Boca, the cup from Odd Eye, the hand through the mirror from Good Night and the clock from Piri. Musically, I am in heaven. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. AND THAT RIFF! 🤘🎸 Obviously the song is an absolute anthem! "Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable! My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
Great reaction! While the meaning of the song could be like the comment you found I think its the other way around. Not earth forgiving us but Dreamcatcher apologizing on behalf of us to the earth. This would also go better with the lyrics in my opinion. For example the "maybe you don't, but I love you" (the earth) and this in combination with "so I try to leave" (to stimulate recovery of nature) later would make a lot more sense this way.
5:51 the question is not "how tall it can get" the question is how much you can hold, cuz this thing gets heavier and heavier as gets tall and hard to control :D
Bon Voyage is definitely a grower song. Don't get me wrong I liked it right away I mean DC never misses. However this song went from it's my favorite of the trilogy and I really like it, to it's a Masterpiece and my 2nd favorite song behind Deja Vu. I just can't get over the Pre Chorus it's sooooo good. Can we talk about the Queen for a minute. Not only does Sua shine in the 2nd Pre Chorus but she gets to belt a high note as well. I expect nothing less from my bias. On the album Propose is really really good and To You is my 2nd favorite Ballad of theirs behind Always.

Reason was released as a solo. The first time I watched it I teared up because of how sentimental it is. I love how much Insomina love DC just as much as DC love the- you can just see the mutual love and appreciation.. plus JiU is #1 Insomina. Their 3ed US tour was called Reason:Makes and the set list had not only all 3 solo songs, but they went all the way back to Chase Me and did at least 1 song from each album as a walk though memory lane. Bon voyage is the last part of Apocalypse so it would pick up the story after Vision. Basically protecting the remains of humanity while helping to bring life back to the destroyed nature. And once they do that they leave. The white fluff ball is Celly.. a cell that they created to help. From Us- their saving if the world is the gift to humanity. And they got 2 wins this this comeback.
I attended 2 of the stops of their recent tour. I can tell you that other than being a fansong to the fandom and a celebration of their anniversary, "Reason" is absolutely a concert song. To be in the crowd while everyone is shouting the "woahs" during that part of the song gave me chills every time.
Glad you got to react to both songs in your own time. I admit Reason is not their catchiest song, it is definitely a stand alone song for the fans and was not promoted as a regular title track. For my part, I love it and involuntarily tear up at the story of struggle and perseverance embedded in it. While this song is a fan appreciation song - so that is nice, the subtext is that there were times when they were close to failing and disbandment (it is a harsh industry). Also, it is clear that not getting a single music show win for five years took a psychological toll on them. When a group like GFriend can get 71 wins (and I like GFriend too) over the same period, and they only have a couple close calls despite all their hard work and talent, it is certainly disappointing and can feel like rejection, with the attending sense of embarrassment. One quick vignette - when they were on a variety show hosted by Sunny of Girls' Generation (which was very cool for them) they were asked which of their songs was their favorite - and Dami, with her characteristic candor said "Boca, because that is the song that saved us." I hope you get a chance to react to the rest of the new album - you may find you like a couple of the B sides better than Bon Voyage. I always respect your cool analysis of artists singing abilities.

Bon Voyage is the third song of this trilogy that started with Apocalypse: Save Us and continued with Maison. Each song has them in a barren, desolate industrial scene - an abandoned Utopia.
Bon Voyage song and MV are INCREDIBLE. DCC said how much budget you want this time? And the girls said : ALL OF IT The close-up shots are KILLING me. They all look so ABSOLUTELY perfect in this its ridiculous. BASSIST WENT CRAZY JiU vocals on the acoustic guitar is just heavenly Dami and Gahyeon sound so good on this track like wtf?? This comeback SuA said: Look at me, im the main EVERYTHING now. What business does DONGIE have looking THIS DAMN FINE?😍😍😍 Short hair Yooyheon... I just can't😍😭😍😭😍 Siyeon went GOD MODE on the vocals Instant favorite from them. They absolutely killed it. This is so good it actually makes me cry.
If you didn't catch it yet, Bon Voyage has a slightly different style. This is because Leez, one of the co-composers for DC since the beginning, took a job as Ateez's musical director. We didn't know how this would affect his job as co-writer until this comeback when Leez was absent and Ollounder, his writing partner for DC (and Ateez for that matter) was the main songwriter along with a new team that has had their hands in DC's music for the past couple of comebacks. Reason therefore is the last Dreamcatcher song from the classic team. I'm still getting used to it. TBH, while Bon Voyage is growing on me, I'm not a fan of the brighter songs in DC's discography (basically Fly High, New Days and Airplane), but I can somewhat forgive it because of how glorious the bass playing is and the driving drums (and the musical stops) in the song. I'm more a fan of Propose from this album.
To me the Apocalypse series is, they're superheroes who have come from another dimension to give humanity a VISION of what will happen to our Earth MAISON if we don't step up and save the planet now. They're almost leaving it up to is to make the changes while they return to their own world. This song makes me so emotional 🥹 Our substantive queens talking about issues that really matter! 🙌🙌
Bon Voyage and the rest of the songs on the Mini Album are written by Ollounder and others. Leez is no longer writing for DC as he has joined another Company and has to give exclusivity to that Company. The thing floating is a Cell and relates to nature.😂

I love BONVOYAGE. It's the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives: 1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses) 2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus) 3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤ Reason is also my favorite fan song, it feels like a celebration of the fact that Dreamcatcher has finally reached the metaphorical top that they've always dreamed of, and it's all thanks to the fans.
Demian is my favorite song on the album with Bon Voyage a very narrow second!! Propose was ok but not amazing imo, but their performances are great! To you is a rly cute mellow song. Overall, loved the album!!
Bonvoyage is the third part of the trilogy: Maison, Vision and Bonvoyage. Although the letter seems to me that he talks about the uncertainties and fears that you have when you fall in love, I think they are also related to the other two. I can interpret it with the relationship we have with the earth, you love it but many times you turn a blind eye not to think about all the bad things that happen in the world. I don't know what is the meaning of the pet that appears with them, or because 3 Dami are seen at the end of the video. But I love the song and as I listen more like it.

Yes, reason is for the fans and Bon Voyage marks the end of their Earth trilogy. It’s a love letter to the earth. They really went off on the vocals, you have to react to a live performance!
I loved Reason immediately from the first riff. It's even better because of the sentimentality of it. But I love rock and metal so that's my preference. I find it has a catchy melody. Not a big fan of BV, it's okay and sometimes is in my head, but KARD's Icky has overtaken it.

The floating pod/cell , concept wise probably represents the heart of nature/earth/seed of life. Theory wise people seem to think its Siyeon because they think she sacrificed herself protecting SuA which makes sense but only if you disregard alot of elements from the MV. Personally i think it represents InSomnia always being there with them, no matter what they do or where they go, like the "8th member" of the group.
11:42 "What's this floating guy?" I like to say that it's actually a rogue Moobong crashing Dreamcatcher's music video. 🤣😂😅 I believe it actually represents a seed while some people believe it represents Insomnias aka the 8th member of Dreamcatcher.
Also, Bon Voyage, I think the clip is kind of designed to reinterpret the song a little in the lens of humanity versus nature in the context of the other title tracks in the series, but as far as the actual lyrics are concerned, my interpretation of the topic is it is someone who has a lot of trauma, who believes that they're going to be hurt by committing to someone, at the point in the relationship where you kind of know it's going to end, but you can't bring yourself to do it because you still love them, so you kind of both just keep going, waiting for the other one to do it. The "drawing red circles", like "I keep marking each next day in my calendar, saying to myself that that is the day I leave" and "maybe you don't, but I love you", so please just say goodbye, but I know you won't- "I know you, I know you".
Reason has such an emotional MV, love the callbacks to different eras with the members' animated outfits :') And such a banger of a song too! I didn't expect to get such awesome Dami (and other members) raps in Dreamcatcher's fan song, but here we are XD Bon Voyage is such an interesting song for Dreamcatcher, it has a bit of a different sound with that slower start (like Deja Vu), then hits you with that kind of earlier Dreamcatcher sound, and the melodies are so nice, I especially love the chorus melody, it just hits so hard :D Also interesting how the last chorus gets changed up and really ramps up the energy, and nice to see Dami get some singing parts and that mellow rap kind of similar to Reason! ;o And definitely it's got quite a bittersweet tone, which is kind of different for Dreamcatcher too? :o
