Fun facts, if you trace the lyrics, it's described in the Pyro Gemstone you used to ascend characters. Especially about fight to earn a names, burn to ashes for a dreams. (aka all the plotline is already done when 1.0 genshin come out lmao)

A lot of people are pointing that Natlan is based on Sub-saharan Africa and South America, but that's not all. From what we already heard from music as well as we saw in inspirations for different tribes presented in the game, Natlan is inspired by most of the entire Ring of FIre region of our world. So it's not just South America and Sub-saharan Africa, but a much wider spectrum of inspiration. Truly deserving the name of Nation of Pyro.

I'm in a brass band and it's pretty similar For being in the middle the conductor can hear everyone mixed together as it should be and can point out to anyone who may need to be signalled to be louder, quieter, and speed control Also it's so everyone has a good sight of them for seeing speed control

To answer your question about the conductor: His main job is to keep everyone on beat by having the orchestra look at him, not him looking at the orchestra. Physics causes a limitation problem: The speed of sound is only 330m/s and that's a problem. With no conductor, violinists on the far left trying to be on tempo with the trumpets on the far right will always be off beat by about 0.05 seconds which, in particularly large orchestras, is enough to cause dissonance to be heard by the audience. Having a conductor mitigates this issue, as now, the far-left musicians can be on tempo with those on the far-right using sight and not sound. This is why the conductor is always at the center, and the orchestra faces the conductor. The conductor only needs to face the orchestra to signal specific moments, but depending on the music and the arrangement of the orchestra, they do not need to have an eye on everyone at the same time. That's the musician's job to occasionally have eye on the conductor to stay on beat.

For me this song could easily be in the Olympics, for real it feels like a full celebration, a chant to the skies, a declaration of courage and strength. This should had been show in the Olympics! The mix of instruments is impressive, but the addition of the vocals is too good, they did an amazing job with it, just made me think what the rest of the regions will sound like. Natlan is declaring that will be one of the best updates of Genshin, and it shows.

The reason genshin loves to add random dramatic voice lines is to mislead players. The genshin community is filled with lore nerds, and we'd be hella pissed if the trailers spoiled us, so they add lines from different quests together. Some lines in the trailers are even said in a different tone than in the quest. Devs really be playin' mind games with us, and we love it. 😂

So from what I remember the things that you haven't caught up to are: Chiori Teaser and Demo Sigewinne Teaser and Demo Emilie Demo and Teaser Natlan Impressions Trailer - "Blaze to Natlan" Also things that have been released since last week: Mualani Character Teaser and Trailer/Demo (should be out by the time you record) Kachina Character Trailer and Teaser (if it's out when you record) Also there's a bunch of gamescom promotional videos for Genshin, Star Rail and ZZZ if you wanna check them out. As of writing this comment the update is tomorrow and I definitely recommend checking it out. There's a free 5 star character from the standard banner of your choice, so you should totally log in to at least claim that.

Natlan is based on Africa and South America and you can hear that in the choice of instrumentation used in the songs. The songs kind of feel like a lion king sort if song, hence the African basis is very strong. This is also the first regional theme(main theme for a region) that uses vocals. All the other regional main themes are purely instrumental. The language used is swahili, a very singable language, better than most Latin languages, which is a huge part as to why the music is soo good. You can also see various chants and such. Also, rare will you find an African song, traditionally especially that is sung by a soloist. Its always in a group setting. I love the lyrics too. They represent what natlan is meant to be in the game. Inazuma is eternity, sumeru is wisdom etc and natlan is war. I have the fortune of knowing swahili and some of the lyrics do make me cringe every once in a while coz of mistranslation😂. Otherwise, I love these songs sooo much and I'm interested to see what other soundtracks from natlan will sound like

People forget Mexico is North America same as the Caribean, Central America is central who we share a lot of legends and religious beliefs but not with South because we were different empires (North has from Teotihuacans to Mayans who covered deep into central and touched the Inca Empire borders)... Also the ring of fire doesn't cover Natlan as theme since is a Pacific ocean area only, while Africa doesn't touch it. Really, someone took the ring of fire and flew with it without even checking influences. (funny enough ring of fire cover the West Domestic Nations in USA and Canada) Is funny to explain that the Aztecs actually came from the Chichimecas of Aridomaerica and maybe Oasisamerica (Specifically Aztlan on records that sounds like Natlan funny enough) who got high enough and made a city on a lake (the eagle eating the snake was the triping vision) by filling the lake with sand, dirt and rocks... so the Bajio cultures suddenly got "barbarians" after a drug-filled trip founding one of the big 3 empires with a working mail system while wacking the neighbors lol... Also gotta love Mayans making recipes of "how to cook your enemy"... Can't blame the Incas going "damn, I'm staying away from them"

Well Luke, Natlan is based and a lot of precolombine cultures, like the inca, aztec, african, oceanian, hawaiiian, and else. For example I can tell that the little instrument that you said sounds like a bird xD is a peruvian ocarine and that short-sized panpipe is called Zampoña, from my motherland ;)

As far as I understand the story of Natlan (new region) will deal with the deaths and rebirthing or something like that. It seems some people are actually want to die / to be sacrificed for something (because they want to be reborned?) Also it's the first nation after Mondstadt that fights Abyss in the story. It's so strange that other nations had nothing to do with Abyss.... Even though it's like the biggest threat for Teyvat and it caused so many bad things, deaths, destruction... How it's not the main point of the plot until now??? 😢

Maybe because previous regions are introducing important characters to the story like the harbingers, archons, dragons, ancient races, civilizations. In short its building up the story for the main plot. Totally different case but, look at AoT, you get the main cast background and their problem set up for 3 seasons, to finally reveal the main goal and the biggest problem in a 4th and final season.

Natlan is inspired by a mix of South African culture and Native South American culture, (hence the pan flutes). Every region's music in genshin has had traditional instruments from the IRL region incorporated into the music, such as accordions for Fontaine (french/english inspired), Sitars for Sumeru, and Taiko drums in the Inazuman concerts. I saw someone say "You can hate genshin's story or character designs all you want, but you will never be qualified enough to judge their musical composition".

Natlan is a mishmash of several different cultures with each of the 6 tribes seemingly based on a different region: a rocky area based on Australia, a watery area based on Hawaii, ect. There's even some Aztec vibes in some of the weapons.

If you hate climbing, you're in luck! Kachina, the short blonde girl, is a free 4* and is also on the first Natlan banner! She can quickly move up walls using her vehicle. Mualani (shark girl) and Kazuha are also on next banner. Mualani can quickly surf across land, water, and lava. Kazuha can fly upwards to climb quicker! Natlan drops on Wednesday, hopefully we'll see you there!!

Main theme in Natlan will be abotu tribes, and you can hear that in the very first song in that symphony. It fits the theme so nicely, it's like a tribal anthem man, got goosebumps when i first listen to it in the livestream cuz they gave a lot more context abt lore in natlan as a nation and those context just elevated the song so much when i first heard it. Truly a brilliant piece.

I love Genshin's music...but this is the first piece that genuinely made me cry when I first heard it. The performance was beautiful and the lyrics are just...so good. Great. Amazing. They not only hint at what may happen in Natlan story wise (and gives us lore people something to munch on) but it just beautifully encompasses what the culture of Natlan as a nation is about. The blend between traditional and classical instruments already blew me away when I first heard Sumeru's music but Natlan just took it out of the park. Before this performance, Sumeru was my favorite region music wise but with Natlan giving us this? I can safely say Natlan will be my favorite above all the regions. And given some of Natlan's inspiration is from Mexico (pre-colonization), and as a mexican-american, I think the reason this performance made me cry was due to the connection I have towards some of these people. And it just made me happy seeing instruments that maybe once upon a time, my ancestors would have played. I don't know, I'm just excited :D

Natlan mostly takes cultural inspiration and bases its aesthetic and theme on real life cultural communities such as in south-african and sub-Saharan Africa, indoamerican cultures including a wide range of tribal communities from Northamerica, Mesoamerica and Southamerica, as well as some polynesian influence like the maōri people and many more, thats why some instrument used in the Natlan symphony are so diverse, although i do have my reservations on how Hoyoverse delivered their deal with The Natlan cast of characters and how some of them feel too pale in comparison to the historic context and time they’re based on, i still think they did a pretty good job

@@hellsbane666 so far the archons are impressive, but very obviously not the pinnacle of power in Teyvat. We've already encountered a few individuals stronger than them, and even more were teased. I think Capitano and Mavuika are on about equal grounds here (and only because she's the God of War). But I guess we'll find out in a few days

Nah, he should still be the careful one. Even if the top three are considered to be on the level of the Gods/Archons, even between them they have vast differences in power. Zhongli, Ei, and Mauvika are the strongest (Tsaritsa is an unknown right now). So, even if the top 3 Harbingers are on the level of the Gods, they will still fall short against those three (especially vs Zhongli). And Mauvika has been actively fighting for years, so she may be the strongest or second strongest at this point (most likely stronger than Ei).

11:06 its the funny thing, and dont let hoyoverse bootlickers see this (guys its a company not a person hoyoverse as a company doesnt have emotions get of my dick), but hoyoverse in Genshins case is SUPER inconsistent with how it represents places. For example, Inazuma is fully based on Japan and Japanese culture/myths/music, Liyue is fully based in China and Chinese culture/myths/music (and older chinese territories), Fontaine is fully based on the British Isles and France (who have historically shared a lot of culture). And then we get to Sumeru, which is a mix of Morocco, Egypt, the whole middle east, India, Persia, old Sumer, and God knows what else, which makes it super inconsistent "aesthetic wise". Same goes for Natlan: its based on cultures around the 'ring of fire', such as: Native America (north), Brazil, Aztecs, Chichimecs and the Toltecs (also known as 'Nahua people'), Mayan and Incan cultures (and Mayan, Incan and Aztecs gets mixed a lot, even tho they are vastly different; Mexican, ancient Peru and Mesoamerica respectively). It also draws ideas from West-African cultures, even though it has nothing alike with Southern-American. Inspiration here can be seen in the song (sung in Swahili, language spoken in EAST-AFRICA, so not even within the ring of fire), and also in characters such as Ororon, which is such a disrespectful character its insane. He is directly inspired by Olorun, who is quite literally The God in Yoruba culture, aka THE GOD WHO CREATED THE UNIVERSE. Imagine if in Mondstadt there was a random character just named 'God', or in Sumeru a character named "Allah". It's insanely weird that they did that. Especially since, like in Islamic cultures/religion. Olorun is never depicted anywhere. They are transient and above humanity. They do not have a gender. Its so fucking weird lmao Yes, this was a rant. I like genshin and think its a great game, but it does really suck how weird they are with Natlan. No one forced them to incorporate actualy culturally significant people and actual cultures in their game. If you're gonna do it, commit to it. With how the characters look, they should have just been oc's.

obviously that does not take away from the fact that this song is amazing. Genshin composers are genuinely next level and how they manage to create so many different sounding songs is insane. Kudos to them fr. The seperate sections within Hoyo Genshin department are all amazing and talented, it just sucks a lot that higher up it all becomes such a jumbled together mess :(

Mondstadt is a fantasy-style Central Europe and Fontaine is based on a mix of Western Europe. None of the regions are purely monocultural, not even Liyue (which includes, for example, Mongolia) and Inazuma (which has Enkanomiya for Ancient Greece and Tsurumi for the Ainu). Ororon may or may not be inspired by Olorun, there is no evidence until we see the role he plays in the story. Even so, it'd be strange, but not really that bad considering what's "normal" regarding other religions in popular media. I wouldn't say Natlan's weird. Heck, it makes even more sense than Sumeru considering the 6 tribes that it's divided into.

wuwa has a nothingburger soundtrack, a cast that barely differs in terms of design, massive bugs if you're not playing on a souped up PC, a world with few/no interesting puzzles and environmental storytelling, grindier levelling and resource managemenr... the combat is decent but does combat make a game good? not really

Naaah xD Genshin sigue siendo el rey para mi ❤️ Wuwa tiene una historia ok y muy buen combate, pero eso es todo.. La música, la banda sonora y el ambiente de wuwa en general es super decepcionante y mediocre 😕 Mientras que Genshin tiene todo en uno 👌 así que sorry not sorry pero Genshin es superior.
