I am almost 64 and have seen a lot, and I wish that everyone would treat their horses like you do. The relationship of love between you and your horses is beyond anything I have ever seen. There is no doubt that Chase would do anything for you and there is no doubt that you would do anything for him. I love your videos, and not once did I think that you talk too much. Never too old to learn new things and this is something I do learn from you... new info. I've had horses most of my life and still have so much to learn. The other day in the video going to the vet you had me laugh out loud when you said " I can't feel my "arse"... something I can surely relate to ... no padding back there either!
I'm in your age range. ;-) I also really enjoy how he relates to the horses and something that drew me to watching this channel. Doesn't hurt that he is an attractive young fellow (easy on the eyes) and that he speaks very well and from the heart. I'd be very proud if had a son like this young man. I never comment on any video but this one deserves a comment! Firstly, your parents should be so incredibly proud of you.. If my son turns out to be half as polite as you I will be very happy. Secondly.. Why let what anyone has to say bother you.. When I would guarantee half of the haters have never even saddled a horse let alone ridden one. You've never said that your channel was more than your personal experiences and progress with your horses. I believe yours and Jesse's horses are very. very fortunate to be owned by such careful, loving people. Ignore the haters, you are living their dreams, we kept horses for over 20 years,it was a wonderful experience but now I’m crippled with arthritis and I’m practically blind. I do miss being around horses, as for people making personal remarks, it’s because they have nothing intelligent or constructive to say,block them and ignore them. Your horse is beautiful and loves you, nothing else matters, just carry on as you are, it’s nobody else’s business, your horse is happy and heathy, full stop!
When I saw the magnificent stables, I had to stop You Tubing and pay attention. Almost immediately your love and respect for your horses made me respect the two of you, because animals are spirits with needs and feelings and intelligence too. Then, while watching your lives happen in other videos, the interaction between the two of you began to make to want to know, whatever you want to share, more about the magic of your "friendship." In Odd Moments, part two, the two of you just being yourselves was great to see. Best to both of you. Hope there is lots more. Thanks for bring you....

Goodness me, if anything it is refreshing to watch videos of horses which aren't perfect and still in training because it reminds me that there are other people going through the same process with their horses. One day can be really positive and the next really negative - not even because you are doing anything wrong or different, it could just be because you or your horse woke up on the wrong side of your bed and today you/they didn't feel as good as yesterday! Couldn't agree more than we need to cut all the negative judgemental crap and start encouraging and supporting our fellow equines - we all share the same passion for horses! I also love your videos so much because you show us your 'behind the scenes' - that you are a true horse owner who mucks out, hates filling hay nets, poo picks the field and almost dies every time you take the wheel barrow up a ramp - it is so relatable!!!!
Matt, I enjoy all your videos. I’ve learned new things from them and will practice these new ideas with my own horse. What I love most about your videos is how much love, care and attention you give to your horses. You are always so respectful of those around you too. I just started watching Matt and Jesse's videos. I know nothing about horses and enjoy the way the men explain things as they do them. I find them interesting. I love watching them behind the scenes, at the shows, traveling, vet visits or showing the renovations of their home. The negative people frustrate me. I wish they would just unfollow and quietly go away.
Matt I think you are VERY mature and intelligent, and it shows in the way you talk and act. You obviously love your horses, and take great care of them. Thank you for your videos, and keep being the inspiring person that you are. 💕🐎

Wow, the personal attacks on your person were so shocking, you are a very handsome young man and would not be such a successful model if that were not true. I have a son a bit younger than you and am so grateful that you and Jesse are such phenomenal role models; your honesty, genuine character, healthy activities and kindness are a real ray of hope for your generation - do not ever change who you are as you are perfect. For those who had the nerve to be critical about your parents supporting you, I say, that is what good parents do. For those who criticize your "wealth", they might want to watch all your videos and see how hard you worked for your dreams. I would say you are one of the hardest working, honest, young men out there, with solid goals, smarts and the go getter attitude to succeed and what you have is not just well deserved, you deserve much more. Matt I think you are an incredible rider and horse parent. Emporio is amazing, yes he puts himself behind the vertical but he is learning and your very sympathetic riding style will teach him much. I think the 2 of you will go far. Sorry that Chase doesn't want to be a show horse but I really respect your patience and understanding for him and the rest of your babies. I'm two years late, but you truly are an inspiring person! You deeply care about your horses and constantly strive to keep them happy and well. You're informative and very open to discussing your methods of riding/training/grooming etc, and I love that! So many equestrians nowadays are scared to post anything about their riding and caretaking because of the constant negativity, but you stand up for what you believe in and are humble with how you take things in and respond to them. 💙

I’m 77. Been binge watching. I think the love and respect your horses show you is all the comment you need to value. I love the renovations to the home you decided to buy. I wish you had more land just because that’s my wish for you but with land comes stewardship which can be overwhelming considering 24 hours in a day. Jesse has a sensitivity for animals that should be admired. He has “the gift” and the animals know. My closing observation would be the world is filled with intolerance and envy which is sad, eh?

I always loved challenging horses to do fun things with them, but you take fun with horses to a new level! So inspiring!!! It's been my experience in life that those who feel a need to put others down are attempting to compensate for their own inadequacies. You appear to inherently understand this and have reached a good point of balance and humor about it without taking it too seriously. As you so accurately stated, riding is a eternal learning experience simply because every horse is different and every rider is unique. I'm pretty sure you're already familiar with Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling. He has a channel here on RU-vid and his horse personality series is extremely enlightening, plus the music is pretty nice as well (Zamfir on the pan flute). His methods are almost the opposite of modern dressage, but still involve collection and control outside of the traditional training. The bitless, signal-based riding with orange reins is a revelation if you haven't seen it yet. 10 out of 10 recommend.
