At about 4:53 in your reaction, just before you pause it, if you pay attention, the song shifts to reference Shiny Smiley Story - as do the lyrics, which are an English interpretation of the lyrics to SSS at that point. It's one of the reasons we pushed for you to react to SSS even though this had just come out and was being hyped up when that vote happened.

If you never heard any of them sing this was a good introduction to all of their singing voices. Do miss Sana though when I see them all together like this.

The lyrics are great and fit perfectly, their voices just match so well and then the reference to Shiny Smily Story in the bridge that ties it to Hololive as a whole. It's just so wonderful. Most people agree that the scene where they’re looking up to a star studded sky is a nod to Sana still being with them even after she’s graduated. The amount of love and care put into these things is incredible. If you’re asking for big collab songs I’m going to continue to push Bad End Night on Axel’s channel- 9 members across EN, ID and EN HoloStars. It’s just incredible

At a recent 3D live event, with EN, JP, and ID members, the girls would take turns doing things, and then would sit in chairs. When Gura was sitting, her feet were clearly dangling, not reaching the floor. Just thought I'd mention it to a fellow enjoyer of Gura's tiny adorableness.
If you wanna keep up the group song reactions, my favorite is another HoloEN group song, Journey Like a Thousand Years. Other than the somewhat-jokey Halloween collab song, this was HoloEN and HoloMyth's first ever group song. It was written by Calli and the main theme is basically about how the pandemic kept them from being able to meet one another.
Bit of Trivia: The title for the concert, 'Connect the World' was coined by IRyS. So it feels really appropriate that they gave her the line 'How will we connect in this new frontier we're journeying through?' in the song.
I highly recommend buying a streaming ticket for their concert they just did on Sunday. Hearing this live, seeing the energy and penlights waving is a completely different and amazing experience.
Man, this takes me back to Sunday's concert. And I'm still sore from spending all day yesterday either walking, or sitting on a bus. But it was so worth it and I hope I get to see them live again.

Whenever we get all the girls to gather for a song, it is always a special treat. Especially if it's a branch wide one. And others have mentioned it, but they also interwove part of shiny smily story into this song to tie it back original Holo anthem. For that reason, I'll recommend the following: Bebas [cover] from hololive ID, since that's all of the ID together. id:entity: one of the originals from holo ID. There are two of them, one with gens 1 and 2, and the second is done by the third-gen after they debuted. I think all the EN girls singing causes that feeling because it feels like the official "they made it" or "they did it" I guess. IIRC, a lot of the girls officially felt like idols after this concert. Also I know it was random or whatever, but as a takodachi I love that ina was in the middle :O
For me, I always get emotional seeing them all singing on stage together because normally you only really see them individually or in groups of 2 or 3 on a stream. Seeing them all in one place singing together like this is such a different experience than what you're used to on stream, you just can't help but smile. Also yeah, Calli can belt when she wants to and it's always so great to hear! One thing I love pointing out in this video is the image of all of the girls walking in a line right at the beginning of the guitar solo bit. First off, it kinda gives off that Beatles Abbey Road cover vibe a bit which is fun, but more specifically it has Kiara, the well-known mom of the group leading everyone to the right place and Calli, Dad, in the back making sure no one in the group gets left behind. I love that photo so much! This song is such a great anthem for HoloEN, especially given how similar but notably distinct it is from the original Hololive anthem, Shiny Smiley Story (SSS), which is still the main anthem for the entire group. You can really see this in the fact that at Holo Fes every year SSS is usually the opening song on the first day and even at the EN concert this year they opened with SSS and closed with Connect the World. It's tough to beat SSS as THE Hololive anthem but this one really is an excellent fit for the theme song of HoloEN specifically. With the release of Connect the World, all branches now have an anthem (SSS for Japan, ID:entity Voices for Indonesia, and now Connect the World for English). As you said, the Hololive community is one of the most inclusive communities I've ever been in. I highly recommend trying to go to one of the big anime conventions that Hololive is at (for Europe I think the main one right now is Dokomi in Dusseldorf, Germany for the moment, but there's also several here in the US as well like Anime Boston, Momocon, etc.) as you'll then get to interact and meet other Hololive fans in person and let me tell you, there's not an experience like getting to meet and hang out with other Hololive fans. Aww its soooooo good and I love how they even weaved in SSS it really tugs on ma heart havin watched everything from the beginning and see it coming to this point on the EN it really makes me happy that they got to this point the concert was also freakin amazing and our Idol rat Bae was the opening act with her brand new song you should check the live 3d when you watch her MV for Psycho it was argueably one of the hypest songs of the entire concert and it was literally the start
Since it started, Holo EN has sort of been set apart from the other branches of Hololive by how scattered it is. With Hololive JP and ID, the talents all live in a single country where it is assumed their fans also predominantly live, which allows them to meet up with each other as much as they want and also makes it easier to have events for their fans. Holo EN’s members live in five different countries (US, Canada, Australia, Austria and Japan), however, and even for the ones who live in the same country the relative rarity of off collabs suggests they’re not exactly in close proximity to each other. And the fans are of course from all over as well. The title of this song and the associated concert show that Hololive has chosen to view this as a selling point for the branch as opposed to something that might hold it back. They’re global, and they’re here to connect the world. IRyS came up with the name for the concert (and thus the song) by the way. She had a previous song release called See the World, which might have factored in to things,

You didn't notice Luke but on the second half of the MV when the girls met back up and joined together they used the SSS tune and they harmonized in the SSS tone as well there for a bit.

Since you love this song the all of the english had there first ever concer in LA and is also hololives first concer outside of japan and they have an archive of the full concert on a site called spwn which cost about 70-80 $ i don't know if you would be able to film a reaction to it but i thought i would make you aware of it in case you didn't know about it an also youtube has a free preview of the concert as well

Ok sorry but its been over a year and I'm sorry but can you just review two performances the first is ANGELICA HALE doing (Demi Lovato) STONE COLD playing her piano (SHE 12YR OLD) the second one is ANGELICA HALE doing ADELE'S EASY ON ME at (13YRS OLD) while playing the piano they are both unbelievable fantastic wonderful such power and mature beautiful voice..just at least give one of them a try ok..
I've been watching this channel since your very first Hololive reaction and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed to hear you are going to start doing some Hololive MV reactions exclusive on Twitch. I understand wanting to encourage more of your viewers to watch your streams and I do catch them on occasion, but Twitch streams are a huge pain to try and search through for a specific reaction. I don't have time to go and watch every twitch vod to find MV reactions that may or may not be there. These reactions will have much less visibility to your broader community. There have been a lot of songs I've been looking forward to you reacting to and it would be a real shame to miss them because I don't catch a stream. The fact that you specify exclusive to twitch seems to imply that you don't intend to upload them to your clip channel either, which I hope isn't the case. Not to mention that twitch vods only last for 2 months before they vanish forever. Honestly, nothing about this decision seems like a good idea to me and I really hope you reconsider. Your current balance of concerts and clips on twitch and MVs on youtube is great IMO. EDIT: Just checked the vod from today's stream to see if you reacted to one today, and saw you talking about it at the end. The confirmation that they would all end up on GOT Clips alleviates most of my worries and I get that stream reactions are just quicker and easier and will allow you to get through the vast backlog of reactions faster. Still a little annoying to have to check two locations, but I can deal with it. Have a good day sir.
