Wait i just realised... On Aki's map, if she is being played, she isn't in the background but if she isn't being played you can see her in the background. That is some nice attention to detail.

All the girls want to voice their character more lines, and then there's Ollie with full lines.

I hope Zeta is in this, she went from casual to Oshibeater over the course of 8 hours. It was wild.

Funny enough, Polka even tagged the devs and provide her own VA if they decide to put her on the game. Even before Polka played the game, she already gave the voice lmao.

If you want to see some Holo 1 on 1 action, then you should watch Ollie vs Oga, Ollie vs Kaela, Calli vs Watame, Calli vs Ina and Calli vs Kiara (though that one is very one sided). Also, Korone got addicted to Miko's boat song after watching the credits.

Here we see Koe becoming a bridge, like his oshi Coco was when she bridged the East and West world of Vtuber fandoms, by representing FGC to Vtuber fandom and Vtuber fandom to FGC.

Seeing the talents' reactions to stuff and seeing them have fun with the game is the best possible reward

I LOVE how Koe is ADAMANT that the Emotional Support ball has to be the ONLY item in Virtual Frontier, and I approve.

The amount of joy and excitement this game has brought, much like Holocure, really makes me happy as well! It's crazy how people that aren't down the rabbit hole or have any real knowledge on VTubers have been playing things like Holocure and Idol Showdown because they're just so much fun and a lot of effort has been put into both projects.

My favorite clip is Pekora hearing that she's going to be the next character and getting super excited, highly recommend it.

I share how your feel about Aki, Koe. It makes me happy that she's having some exposure this year thanks to Jimmy and Idol Showdown and I think she's enjoying this too. She's my JP oshi and I'm main Aki, she has great combos, and she's awesome. Finding another Aki and dancing together before the match is a must, lol.

This game is so exciting to me and I don't even watch any of these vtubers outside of occasional RU-vid clips. I just love the idea that a small super competent group of fighting game devs were able to put this game together for free as a passion project and it's getting all this mainstream attention and support from these huge streamers who are feeding back into it by providing more resources like the voice lines for free as well and essentially sending all their fans over to try this really cool fighting game. And it's not like they oversimplified the game just for the general non fgc crowd who come to check it out. Like sure there is a special button for accessibility, but it doesn't reward meter so there's still reason to have motion inputs. This is a really exciting gateway fighting game that I'm sure will get a handful of new people into the fgc, and on top of that it's happening at the exact perfect timing right before sf6 comes out. Cuz you already know that game is gonna do WORK pulling new people into the genre with all the new control options and game modes. I can totally see there being vtuber fans who were ignoring sf6 who play this game and realize they actually like fighting games and now want to play other games like sf6 as well as idol showdown

I think the Botan thing is really interesting, because it seems like the devs were interested in the sort of aesthetic Botan _appears_ to give off (cool, stoic, only speaks when she needs to, the sort of menacing gunslinger), but Botan herself is much more interested in being cute (or her company is interested in her being marketable). I hope it's possible for the devs to use both options because I think the voice clips they chose for Botan fits the aesthetic they seemed to want her to fit; a much more calm and stoic sort of character in the midst of all these wacky zany characters. I mean, Korone is pulling out chainsaws and turning into 8-bit sprites and Fubuki has a gacha mechanic, but Botan's just got actual guns and is ruthlessly efficient in her moves. Also, watching different Hololive talents play Idol Showdown is very interesting because it exposes which Hololive members have fighting game experience, and which are panicked button mashers, and there's a _looooot_ of panicked button mashers in Hololive.

If you wanted to highlight the awesome of the devs, should have talked about the Calli/Watame stream. They literally real time reprogrammed the multiplayer to add in private passworded rooms.

Ah the miko lava incident and the ark singing clip from 2020. They were my earliest memories from hololive when I fell down the whole and couldn't come back again. On the topic of providing voice lines for the game, Kiara even said in her stream, and repeated it when talking with Calli in the same stream, that many of the talents would gladly provide voices if asked, but there is no avenue for the fan communities to do that. The devs did their best to get clips from streams, and now that many of the talents are playing it and noticing it, they can provide dedicated lines to be used in the game. There are couple great clips of Sora and Fubuki recording their new lines for example. Sora is a professional, providing many variations and situations on the fly, and Fubuki even went to her move list to match her voice to the attack animations.

So everyone know the history behind the plastic ball. Vesper when he was younger worked in a crappy job setting up computers and monitors. And all these new monitors had plastic film to protect the screens. So vesper states the only joy he got out of that job was taking all the plastic and making this giant basketball sized ball of plastic. So over the years when he was feeling down or depressed he would just look at this giant disgusting ball of plastic in his car trunk and remember. It gave him solace.
