That was fun you guys! FYI the man whose house they invaded is Darren Rust, legendary acapella producer and arranger, often considered the sixth member of Home Free. He agreed to let them use his house to film the video but didn't expect to be so involved!

Darren runs Skyland Studios out of his basement in Lakeville, MN. That’s where Home Free recorded most of their music, at least pre-pandemic. Darren is also a great singer and has his own group, The Blenders. I just saw them in concert a week or so ago and they were fantastic.

What I just realized a couple of weeks ago is that they are in MN for this vid and it is no where near Christmas! Which is why all the folks look at them like they are nuts for caroling! The first guy was Darren Rust their producer, second guy was Daryl Marrier, third Hound and the Fox and finally the woman was Rob's grandma. If you pay attention to Chance when Rob sings about he looks around because of his bleach. You two are so so funny together. Yes please do this again. If you haven't seen the song at the end it's Full of Cheer. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.

Love ya Kaz! and can't forget Mortius' enthusiasm either. This song is an oldie, but a goodie. Another song I just found from quite a bit ago from Home Free (that I'd love to see a reaction to) is "This is How We Roll." It is so hilarious...especially the spoof on The Big Lebowski movie characters and Austin is especially ridiculously funny. Would love a shout out one day! Love ya too Sarah 💝

This is a favorite for my daughter and myself 🤣🤣 We went to see them in concert right before Christmas last year; in the weeks leading up to the show, my daughter (10 years old at the time) constantly asked me if they were going to do this song. I would tell her that I didn't know. They put on an amazing show, but didn't do this song. Until they were wrapping the show up, and Tim said, "It's been a great show tonight, and we wanted to leave you with this!" and they went directly into this song. My daughter FELL out of her seat and started crying happy tears. It absolutely made her night!

If you've both seen "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" (written by Tim Foust & Joe Bilotta), you need to see the Christmas sequel song "Full of Cheer" (also a Tim Foust original). You spotted The Hound + The Fox, but I think the woman whose door they knocked on was the mom or grandma of one of the guys. The house they invaded was their long-time producer/recording and mix engineer/arranger and co-writer on several songs, Darren Rust.

yeah, my 2 favorite people together!!!! i see them whenever they are within 250 miles of me but always see them at their Christmas concert in Branson.they always do this song and it is just as awesome in person. this year i took my girls for the vip package and got to do the q&a and have a song before everyone else showed up. it was amazing and texas hill was fantastic too. merry Christmas and hope you both have a fantastic holiday

That half-step ascending crunchiness and resolution you heard at the end was vintage classic barbershop quartet chording. From the 1960's on, the once common and popular in music half-step progressions pretty much disappeared, so it's cool to hear when it pops up now and then. I think you might really appreciate the old movie musical The Music Man.

A couple of things that aren't commented on by reactors: 1. The initial splat on the pitch pipe. I've done enough caroling to know that is a stopper. 2. The dad at the door stops, almost aggressively, their child's clapping. But you are both correct, there is too much to take in the 1st time through.
