Great reaction! 👍🏼 One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. (I'm from 1963) First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's silky soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The great bass and beautiful harmony are the finishing touch.

Hey Pappy D👋Home Free just has a way with these beautiful classic songs. I love the way Austin and Ron trade off doing their own thing and then harmonize together at the end. And you’re right…this arrangement is perfection! See you next week.

You're gonna like 'Cruise'! All of the first releases from their 'As Seen on TV' albums have been really well received by fans. Hopefully 'Colder Weather' is soon. Haven't seen Chance up front in way too long, but he had a part in their Official Video.

This was from Season 5 of The Sing Off, when Home Free came back as a guest. The judges and Nick Lachey joined the song one by one, so it’s really hard to hear these guys for most of the song. I did hear Tim on the show. Like a steel rail. Holding the whole song on track. I really like this version. But now I have to check the version you mentioned. Thanks

You’re right this was a great arrangement!! Her harmonies are always perfect!! I love that they sang this in a Quonset ship! We have a couple of quarts of shells on her farms and the acoustics are really interesting inside!! Home free and other a cappella groups that deserve to be heard on the radio are not given airtime… Seems really unfair when there’s so so talented! Nice reaction!!

This is such a great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.

I think this is one of their best. Those bell tones behind Rob's first lead knock me out. Luscious harmonies, perfect percussion (Ruppitup, indeed), and amazing leads. Gorgeous.

I love Adam Rupp's additional harmony during the breakdown and on the last Ooooo at the end. Also, those handoffs between Austin and Rob were out of this world!

This was actually the last song they sang on the show. I believe it was filmed for the next season that never happened. If you want to see it you can find it on their channel. Austin actually has it on his channel too. They did an absolutely amazing job with this version. I always enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.

Home Free does more than justice to Ben E. King's 1961 classic. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing, as always, are terrific. No glitz, no frills - just letting the music speak for itself is perfect. Radio stations now are so genre-specific (alll hip hop, all classical, etc.) and they can't pigeon-hole acapella into one of those niches. I can remember when the Beatles, Johnny Cash & Peggy Lee would all play consecutively . . .
