Jimin is just a masterpiece. His voice, his message, his visuals, literally EVERYTHING! Like others mentioned, you should listen to his whole EP Face because it tells a whole story. You are very right about your interpretation of these. He does a stripped down, acoutic like version of Like Crazy on Lee Mujin Service that is absolutely gorgeous so I definitely recommend that!
What those b*sta*ds mock him for is his voice; they always insist he can’t sing…truth is, they’re all jealous of his appeal to so many people and his raw talent! In BTS he always end up making killing parts…unintentionally! Basically Army with other biases don’t like the attention he gets! ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. ♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even uses excerpt wordings from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe, since dirt or mud means despair, that was what all the dirty grimyness including on his hands in the end, also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

He said it was like reading his journal during a time where he struggled. Yeah you were right, Jimin talked with Yoongi on Yoongi's RU-vid show Suchwita about how he went through a period where he was having a really hard time and yeah probably partying and drinking too much in order to deal with it. I figure he must've known he would after releasing this EP as well. He was made fun of for using auto tune in SMFP 2 and there were videos made about the song itself being a complete disaster. It was sad to see. You are correct, Like Crazy is about escapism and Jimin has talked about how he used Alcohol to cope throughout the pandemic. His EP is definitely worth a listen.
Jimin’s solo album Face is AMAZING!! Definitely listen to Face off and Alone too! Then listen to letter which is a hidden track for ARMY. I also loved Vibe but actually liked the acoustic/live version more! You should check it out!

I was also a Taeyang fan and really loved their collaboration, but I thought Taeyang kind of overshadowed Jimin’s sweetness and that Jimin was conscious of honoring his idol. So the tattoos the one on his waist says nevermind , he has the back tattoo which is the 7 moon phases an it goes down is spine he has young and forever above both of his elbows for a bts song, 13 on his wrist for his birth day, a 7 on his finger for bts (they all have one), then his final one is youth behind his ear. All member have tattoos (the 7s) and jungkook has a whole sleeve on his right arm!

Big Bang has pretty much ceased to exist. One was in prison (he may not have deserved it - he was an ass but he was send to prison to prove that they could), one left over a year ago, another was more recent with a not so nice letter if I remember correctly, Taeyang is now under the Black Label and G-Dragon's contract has run out (not sure what he is doing besides ambassador stuff). BigBang and BTS promotion periods did not cross that much especially in later years if at all. But Jimin is known to have been a fan especially of Taeyang since the begining. There are some friendships for example over common museum trips between Namjoon and Taeyang (?). When Taeyang was talking with Teddy about new music Teddy suggested that he collabs with Jimin as Jimin is a fan of his (I think Jimin even self-tought himself to play "Wedding Dress" on the piano - he can't play anything else). Taeyang finally got interested about a year after the comment and tried to contact Jimin and after some misshap introduced him to the song they wanted him on but Teddy suggested another song that wasn't complete at that point. (Jimin helped in the composition). That was BTW the first time a BigBang mamber charted on the Billboard Hot100. Jimin has a few tattoos: In the MV for SMFPt.2 you can see a few: Nevermind (song fro Suga) on his chest, the moon phases on his back and a 13 on his wrist. Furthermore a "Young" and "Forever" (songtitle) on the back of his ellbows, a 7 on his finger (BTS all got a 7 to show their bond) and a Youth/Growth behind his ear. What is written on his chest is a Rainer Maria Rilke poem in it's original German - official translation is (and not a real tattoo): I live my life in widening circles that reach out across the world. SMFPt. 2 is the last song where he sets himself free from his dark emotions because he is the only one who could. (SMFPt.1 is actually from a mixtape of Yoongi - named a little differently. During the creation of Jimin's song they were searching for a title for the song and realized that it was a continuation of Yoongi's song lyricwise) In LC the voice whispers "alone again. What's the point?" (the next track is "Alone"). There is mud all over the MV - at the begining (when the pic becomes blurry from alcohol), running down the bathroom doors and at the end he left mud prints before smearing it over the camera: Heavy denial about his situation, his loneliness - the fact that he should have been on stage before tenthousands of fans but wasn't because of the pandemic - he cried at their virtual concert Map of the Soul: One because of it. (RM and Jimin are part of the creation team of the song LC itself) LC was the first song by a Korean soloist to reach no. 1 on the BB HOT 100. (JK also managed to reach No. 1 with "Seven" after him.) The rest of the Korean No. 1 songs are all by BTS. You are aware that the BTS members not only have solo work under the name of BTS on the official BTS albums but also songs released on soundcloud for free; OST and so on? "Promise" by Jimin has Guinessbook Worldrecords as it is the most listened to song on soundcloud. The members tend to break their own records. Is it a lot of pressure? Yes, but they have always been under a lot of pressure since before their debut coming from an unconnected label with no money and also when they got involved in so much politcs, the UN, the SK president and the US president, UNGA, Youth ambassadors etc. "The Rise of Bangtan"-series can give a lot of context also about K-pop (the Bonus is funny). It is the *best* out there. Context is important. xCeleste has some videos "This is BTS", "This is Army" and a hardship vid (updated once). Boracity magazine is a little vicious and some context is not quiet right but her numbers and quotes are very real. Personally I prefer bby gang mag/Elliot Sang's video essays. He has a lot of context. (BTS vs. K-pop, you are wrong about K-pop, BTS: More than K-pop etc.) The currently best intro is Taylor Mari's Bangtan 7 (despite only being a little older than a year a lot has changed - but it is still very good). It helps when you do know context. Especially since the vids I pointed out are pretty professional documentaries/video essay on a high level. Maybe try V's new MVs "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days" (which just dropped for his new album "Layover") or Suga's/Agust D's triology "Daechwita", "Haegeum" and "Amygdala" (first is from the mixtape D2 the other from his album D-Day) or maybe J-Hope's "More", "Arson" and "Equal Sign" (unfortunately no MV for the third song; from "Jack in the Box") or RM's "Wildflower (with Youjeen)", "Still Life (with Anderson .Paak)" (both from his album "Indigo") and maybe Balming Tiger "Sexy Nukim (feat. RM of BTS)" or maybe Jin's "The Astronaut", "Abyss" (no MV) and "Super Tuna" or maybe Jungkook in "Dreamers" and "Seven". You nice! Keep going! 💜

Jimin told in many interviews that the whole album tell the story of what he felt and went through during the Pandemic, Set me free pt 2 is the last song and he express how he end it all in triumph but Like Crazy is at the middle of it all, the song don't talk about romantic love but as you said is about him facing (yeah pun intended the album is called FACE as facing yourself) himself, it's about the loneliness and frustration he felt when all their plans fell apart, the super huge tour they had prepared never saw a ray of light even after all the stadiums where sold out already, they couldn't even performed ON (their newest title track at that time) for fans once, when they announced they were going back to Korean music shows just to connect with fans before the tour that same week the shows banned the public cause of course COVID so not even while promoting they could meet fans. All the members love to perform but even them say that Jimin LIVES for the stage so he entered this spiral of dark and deep thoughts and fears. He said that all he did was drink alone in the dark to cope, even in the behind of the music video shooting he said that it wasn't like in the video (he doesn go clubbing, and of course even if he did everything was on lockdown 😅). So yeah Like Crazy talks about wanting to be in that state of intoxication just to be able to feel better even if the "dream" is just really a nightmare. Boracity magazine, a RU-vid channel has a new video talking about FACE as a whole, you should watch it cause FACE really goes DEEEEPPP into his loneliness, the emotions he poured on this album are so sorrowful 😔 an insane way to debut as a solo if you ask me, probably took a lot of courage to do so and I'm thankful he did cause what a masterpiece of an album he gifted us 🔥💜😣✨

I also had anxiety when Jimin released his pre release track and Album for one reason only Jimin is among all the members UNPREDICTABLE. I love all his solo songs w/in BTS but I knew he will have full creative control of his songs and album and I honestly didn't know what to expect specially when Hobi said he heard it and even he didn't expect that it would be so dark. Its dark and light for me. I love this Album and all the songs in it and this is me being 100% honest even if he's my bias. His artistry is wholly of another level. After seeing the end of your reaction, which I enjoyed so so much, I do now know that you did go ahead and happily see Jimin’s so utterly breathtaking, so spectacular live performances, as well as dance practices and more. There's an interpretation that the "she" in Like Crazy is actually Jimin. If you rewatch the MV carefully you'll see a hand covered in mud grab him at the beginning and pull him into the club scene, and in the middle of the MV the camera briefly focuses on a woman who vaguely looks like Jimin and is wearing a black leather jacket like the hand that grabbed him, and finally at the end of the MV Jimin returns with his own hand freshly covered in mud. After the camera focuses on this woman, there's a scene where she and Jimin walk towards each other and "face-off" on the dancefloor, the camera spins, and we cut to Jimin in front of the bathroom mirror while the lyrics talk about his reflection in the mirror. Interestingly, in the English version of this part, the lyrics are a little different and say, "all my reflections I can't even recognize." And during this part of the choreography (which wasn't in the MV but was used for live performances), Jimin dances with one of the female backup dancers and they perfectly mirror each other's movements. After this scene in the MV, we don't see this mysterious woman again.
