Narda (civilian name like Clark Kent) and Darna (the superhero name like SuperMan). Darna is a filipino female superhero. The singer is Narda’s friend in love with Narda. But Narda is too busy saving the world to notice him.
"SA LIKOD NG MGA TALA, KAHIT SULYAP MAN DARNA" (Behind the Stars, i wish to have a peek) DARNA'S COSTUME FEATURES GOLDEN STARTS THAT COVERS HER BREAST!
Darna is a famous Filipino super hero similar to wonder woman. When she is a normal person her name is Narda and when she swallow a magical stone and shouted "DARNA" she will transform to Darna. She has a younger brother named DING.
Efra should live in the Philippines if he loves Christmas so much, it's celebrated from September up until January..The longest Christmas celebration in the world.
These are the songs that everyone I mean everyone knows. Even if you don’t know the lyrics you can’t help but mumble and sing along. “Narda” is the real name of the original Filipino comic super heroine “Darna”. The creation of Darna soothes the Filipino audience and served as an inspiration to the Philippines when it was struggling from the after effects of World War 2. Darna is an icon of Truth, Justice and Filipino culture. “Ding” is Darna/ Narda’s sidekick in a way since they work and live together even when Darna is not in superhero mode. Btw, Waleska never disappoints. I really dig her style. She looks stunning as always💚
@@Wruce_Bayne1 all I know that the tala or in english stars are found in Darnas bra.. hahahahahahahaha. and he said behind the stars can I have just a glimpse.. sa likod ng mga tala, kahit sulyap lng Darna.. lol.
7:29 You nailed it. One of the factors why songs get popular in the Philippines is because of their sing-along potential, and this song definitely has that strong vibe, like an anthem song, similar to why Mr. Brightside is so popular.
It's a love song for a Philippine superhero called "Darna". So in this context, the lady of his affection, Narda, is literally saving the world and is too busy to notice her secret admirers like him.
I always sing this before in karaoke. Darna is a Filipino superhero and Narda is her alter ego. It’s an unrequited love song, just because Darna is always busy saving the world.
Please react to the original version of this song because the drum work in the original version is superb especially in the bridge part. I think Efra would love it, too.
Damn guys! i wake up in the morning, the first thing i seach in my phone is for the latest video from you. you have successfully infiltrated our consciousness 😌
You already know Jay Contreras, the vocalist oozing with presence and a total performer. Jomal Linao is the guy who does guitars and higher notes on vocals, the way he and Jay sings their songs is just perfect. Led Tuyay is the other guitarist Puto Astete is the bassist and we have Bords Burdeos banging the drums This brings back memories, this song owns a long running no. 1 spot on the MYX Daily Top Ten (the other mainstay on the number 1 after them is Callalily's Magbalik which you guys already reacted to)
Jay Contreras could easily be a successful comedian here in the Philippines. He’s one of the most loved vocalist here because of his personality. Everyone can relate to him and their shows are really entertaining.
I wake up 6am.phtime..checking on your upload...realizing that your last upload were 22hrs ago...hehehe 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 Present here...next month will be my 1yr existence into your channel since day1 of reacting to mori...riseup
Please react to Paligsamahan Dance Competition- Cast The last filipino dance podcast you did was amazing but I think it didn't have enough time to feature all the great dancers we have in Ph. I know Wale loves watching dance. Love ya both!
Yes please yes please. Cast is a small college dance troupe. This video is very satisfying to watch. Group members are still young here, ages 17-22 yrs old
All months that has BER(september, october, november, december) plus January are the Christmas in the Philippines. You'll enjoy ur stay here if ever, Efra😁
I remember when we joined the battle of the bands, Kamikazee was there and they played Narda for the first time and we went crazy and inspired by their music. And that same night, we placed 3rd in our 1st ever battle. 🤘
Before our elders asking what song they are hearing. Me and my cousins sing along. Before they hate. After half an hour. They memorized . 2 lines. We were all smiling.they also smiled. That's how catchy it is. Hahaha...
The guy in plaid is Jomal Linao. A very talented rhythm guitarist of Kamikazee. I also love the way he harmonizes with Jay Contreras (the vocalist). Their voices are very complimentary. I wish you reacted to the original version. The drum work is spectacular and you can really feel the essence of the song even if it's in our vernacular language. A guy's love and ode to the Philippine heroine - Darna :)
Christmas in the Philippines starts when the BER months come...so September until December is the start of our Christmas season.....you should visit PHL on the BER months.....
talking about Christmas, Philippines celebrates Christmas starting from september (-ber months, months ending in -ber) until the celebration of three kings on january
The original version is good but my fave version of this song was Janine Berdin's. Just found myself bawling my eyes out after her performance. I'm not even broken hearted or something when I watched it. That performance also made Ogie Alcasid tear up. So yeah, it's my fave version.
Kamikazee is a Filipino rock band formed in 2000. The band is composed of Jay Contreras (lead vocals), Jomal Linao (guitar and vocals), Led Tuyay (guitar), Puto Astete (bass) and Bords Burdeos (drums). *they are also VERY GOOD FRIENDS with Parokya Ni Edgar
This is their most radio-friendly song that launched them mainstream, hence the easy sing-along type vocals, and very basic 4/4 instrumentation. Their early sound is punk rock with metal influences. Later on they went a bit more mellow, writing more alt rock, pop punk type songs.
You guys should react to their acoustic version of "Huling Sayaw" featuring Kyla. It's not a live performance but you will definitely appreciate the artistry of both Kamikazee and Kyla. Their genres are so different but they were able to find that sweet spot. Kyla has had too many duets with various artists that she knows how to shine and at the same time complement other artists in duets. You may also want to react to Kyla's duet with rapper Kritiko in the song "Kababata". The music video will blow you away!
Unfortunately they are disbanded now.... one of my all time fave band. very famous in my college days. 🤘 every kid in the corner could sing this song automatically.
Narda is the alter ego of Darna (aside from it's being read backwards), Darna is the Filipino version of DC's WW. the song was inspired by the tv series aired in gma-7 at the time and played by the hot teenage actress angel locsin.
The thing about our bands here we have our specialties and KMKZ is a fkcing showmanship. You will not bored if you join their jam or attend their concern. To back my this with evidence look for other live concert they do! You will love it! :)
Believe it or not. This is also one of the Philippines modern iconic song. New. Compared to other iconic songs.Especially to the youth. Many jokes about the meanings of the song. Still one of my favourites. It depends on what you choose . From the list of meanings. For me . It is a love song. "Darna" tribute song.
They got really big after they made a song for filipino super hero "Darna" song title "Narda" and the most famous online game during my childhood "Ragnarok online" song title "Chicksilog".
Efra if you want christmas just go to the philippines coz filipinos celebrate christmas from september all the way to december. YES THAT'S RIGHT! 4 MONTHS! When September 1 come in all you can hear music from radio station, tv, malls, supermarket etc. is all christmas songs and you can see there are christmas decoration everywhere.
“I want to have Christmas every month”. Not every month, but in the Philippines celebrates Christmas the longest in the world which we call the -ber months which means that we celebrate Christmas from September - December
Try listening to their original video. Janine Berdin also covered this song in ballad style. Christmas every month? Christmas season in the Philippines starts in sept 1. And is extended up to chinese new year in feb the following year.
👏👏👏 gracias for reacting to this song! You guys should react to more songs from this concert😁. Do tagpuan and halik next por favor. Thanks again .. Love you guys!
Well speaking of christmas.. fun fact: philippines celebrate christmas for 4 months! We call the the "BER Months"(means spetemBER, octoBER, novemBER, and decemBER)
I remember my confusion when I first heard them back then, I mean, they're the first band I've heard where the backup vocal was overpowering the lead singer and sings the main melody itself...
DARNA is the Philippines' superhero version of Wonder Woman and Ding, who is a boy, is her sidekick. NARDA is her persona when she is in normal/regular mode.
Narda is a song about Famale superhero (DARNA) like (wonder woman). If you enjoy this, You will also enjoy the songs "ALIPIN" , "Nandito Lang AKo" by SHAMROCK, you will love their performace on wish bus
Kindly react to kamikazee "seksi seksi" tower session you will see how professional Jay is (vocalist) when they face any technical issues during performances
🇵🇭 "Narda"/"Nárda" is the civilian, alter ego, and undercover name of the Filipino comics, television, and film female superhero "Darna"/"Dárna". (Just like Clark Kent is for the Superman, Bruce Wayne is for the Batman, Peter Benjamin Parker is for the Spiderman, and Anthony Edward Stark or Tony Stark is for the Iron Man, among others). "Darna"/"Dárna" is like the Philippine version or counterpart of the USA's the Wonder Woman, though Darna is her own superhuman heroine and has her own unique and personal adventures, stories, super powers and abilities, source/s of super powers and abilities, enemies and villains or super villains, origins, species, etc. that are totally unique and special to her alone compared to and the same as other female superheroes out there who are also unique and special in their own ways as female superhuman heroines. From the comics to various television series and adaptations, and to various film adaptations, there have been many versions or adaptations and retellings of her character, character design, stories, adventures, super powers and abilities, source/s of powers and abilities, enemies and villains or super villains, origins, species, etc.
You should react to Janine Berdin's ballad rendition of Narda. She sang this on the 4th or 5th day of the SemiFinals season 2 of Tawag ng Tanghalan I think.
