BM said the song is about people in abusive relationships and the different ways that can occur. He's even coming out with a clothing line to benefit an anti-bullying non-profit. But also, watching the video, I definitely think there's something there about the lies we tell ourselves and the hurts we inflict. Because in some of their shots, they look cut up and hurt. While in others, they look healthy but they're being destructive. So (in my opinion) Jiwoo killing her double at the end is both freeing yourself of abusive partners, friends, people but also ridding yourself of the toxic traits you may have which hurt you and the people around you. Regardless, WHAT A BANGER. BM can't miss, man.

I took that last part as, we get hurt by other people's words but we can hurt ourselves with our own words too

I had the same reaction at the end, my jaw literally dropped. I thought it was almost a plot twist, like the "other" and the "love" they're talking about is their self instead of a lover. But I can see that it could be about both. Either way, they went hard. Their acting was all insane but jiwoo especially. They've been good from the beginning but like you said, they just keep turning it up every time. I hope they get what they deserve from this, they're long overdue for a first win

My sense of the ending is, Red (clean) Jiwoo was the false face put forward to the world of "no, nothing's wrong", and that dark (scarred) Jiwoo killing it, she was saying, "no more hiding what's happening, no more pretending".

another theory for jiwoo could be that for her the verbal abuse is coming from herself, and that her own inner voice is so cruel to her and is slowly destroying her, that the words we say to ourselves can be a kind of violence against ourselves. i like to think then that her shooting herself is killing her own negative voice, since the jiwoo that shoots the gun is all beat up, but the other isn't.
