I only joined the Atiny family 5 months ago after being a fan of other groups and I still can’t get over how welcoming and friendly the fandom is. 17:06 yep ever since the beginning he was considered no he was the leader/captain. way before the company decided to have trainees our tiny captain here sent his mixtape to the company. they were interested so they took him in. the company didn't have a trainee system (?) yet so they didn't know what to do w him but hj said in the interview both the ceo and everyone around took great care of him. they taught him how to produce, make his own music and hone his skills. he and yunho (who joined 6 months after him) were part of the ppl who choose the trainees/members. so yes he was the leader ever since day 1. so everyone listens to him very well + the fact that he's older than them

He was the de facto leader early on since he was the most senior trainee, but eventually they did have to choose an official leader. My recollection is that Seonghwa said if the leader isn't Hongjoong then what's the point and the others agreed. ❤
im really enjoying your reactions so far. the kq editing team was really struggling back then 😭just some random trivia: back in 2018, ppl were really praising kq for pre-adding english subtitles to their videos because it wasn't commonplace for companies to do that like it is now. i think they had an image of future ateez in mind and it was to debut a group with a global demographic with a lot of western influences. anyway, i'm mentioning this because their recent official content on their channel has some of the best and funniest editing I've seen. i'm really glad you're getting to know their individual personalities. im anticipating the long guide too. and i'm so thankful someone finally agrees with my yeosang elf agenda😫 also, happy belated birthday

to answer your question, hongjoong has been considered the leader since the beginning! when seonghwa joined kq, he was a bit worried to lose his position but seonghwa told him, the team and staff that if hongjoong wasn’t the leader of the team, ateez would lose its purpose. I’m glad you had positive experiences with us atiny so far, hopefully it’ll stay this way. honestly, it’s been years since i discovered ateez and I’ve never felt lonely since then. that’s thanks to both, ateez and atiny. I dare most folks to watch some of these videos and not completely fall in love with them. They're funny, devoted to their fandom, consummate performers, socially aware. Seonghwa is a franchise-certified Jedi Master. San is a 3rd degree (?) black belt in taekwondo. Hong Joong gets nail polishes sent to him for his use with his Polished Man campaign efforts, and donated money from his photography exhibition to charity. Yeosang has been an MC for the past 3 years. They mentioned half the group in Imitation, but Yunho was the second male lead in the show. Jongho sang the OST for Born Rich and its incredible. They've won Immortal Songs 4 times, more than any other idol group. You can find something unique and wonderful about every member, and see how their talents manifest in the best ways. Oh my gosh I am so enjoying your reactions to Ateez! They are so much fun! I can't wait to see your reaction to the longer guide. It's a bit cringey at some points as fan guides sometimes are but there's a lot of very good information in it too. Ateez is just such a lovely group of young men. They are so easy to fall for because they make such great music but they are also such good hearted people, even if they aren't perfect. After you're done with this KQ Fellaz series you should definitely start the Code Name is Ateez series! It's so good. It follows their journey of actually preparing for their debut. You will laugh and possibly even cry. It's so heartwarming. Looking forward to watching more of your journey with them!

Here are my suggestions for the next stuff: After finishing KQ fellaz you should react to their 3 performance videos! And then there's this show called Code Name is Ateez in which they prepare to debut, I think you should definitely react to it, even though it's really bad quality sometimes. After that I suggest the logbooks! They're like SKZ talkers for Stray Kids. It's their behind the scenes content from all the music shows, fansigns. Really fun to watch. They go from their debut to nawadays. And a warning that you probably shouldn't react to their pre debut song From. Cause it will get blocked on RU-vid.

Really enjoying watching your journey so far and I love that you decided to actually start at the beginning with kq fellaz (they also have the code name is ATEEZ stuff that's predebut but i know that can be harder to find especially in good quality, some of it feels like it was recorded on a microwave lmao). Anyway, can't wait to see what's next on your journey and welcome to atinytown! Also, you're gonna love their variety shows like wanted, wanteez, salary lupin, etc. I'm somehow still constantly surprised at their ability to turn the most seemingly boring/mundane content/task into something hilarious that will have your face muscles cramping - they're all such comedians haha.

The group was de facto built around Hongjoong so not only was he the agency sunbaenim for all the incoming trainees, it also seems like he had some say in who got accepted. It's hard to say precisely when they agreed on his position officially but it must have been earlier than the end of 2017 bc the members were all decided by the time they auditioned to the Mixnine show. One note about what the guide says bc I'm a lore geek - I don't think the lore evolved to include those elements, their first cb in January 2019 already showed elements of the story that would be properly revealed at the end of the second album series, Fever, almost 3 years later in the late 2021. The details probably evolved but the sf-fantasy setting has always been there and the storyline is definitely pre-planned for years in advance.

It is so fantastic to watch all this again with someone watching it for the first time. I just adore these 8 human beings and I am excited for you to watch some of my favorite MVs (like Hala Hala) and other content.
