The Silver Surfer isn't weaker without the surfboard. He just likes to use it for interstellar travel but he can travel without it and use his full power without it. Galactus trapped him on Earth by creating a force field around the planet that repelled the board. After he figured this out, he just flew out into space without the board and created a new one on the other side of thw force field. He also once used the surfboard as a missle and then instantly created a new one by holding his hand out and dripping dripping the silver material that covera his body, from hia finger tips into the shape of a new board. He has all of the infinite powers of Galactus but at a smaller rate. Think of Galactus' power as fire hose connected to an infinite ocean that replenishes itself naturally whereas the Silver Surfer's power is a kitchen faucet that's connected to the same ocean. The hose can pump out more water at a faster rate but the faucet has just as much water to draw from.
This was way too one sided for me. Martian Manhunter is a great character but he's not on the same level as someone with the Power Cosmic. I think the best match up for Silver Surfer would be the character that homaged him, the DCAU Amazo.
Adam Warlock, Franklin Richards, Blue Marvel 💙, The Sentry, Gladiator, Professor X, Ice 🧊 Man, Apocalypse, Red Onslaught, Vulcan, Emma Frost 🍦, Wonder Man 👨🏼Doctor Doom, Brother Voodoo, Ghost Rider and Squirrel Girl 👧 are extremely powerful characters in the Marvel Universe too.
I generally agree with your pro's and Con's. The fight itself was too short and the conclusion didn't give enough numbers for Surfer. They didn't really give any numbers to Surfer on how strong he is. But I do agree with the verdict, Norran just had too much hax for John to keep up, and has shown mind resistance, at least long enough for him to find and stop Manhunter. The beginning and ending of the fight we're great and nails who these characters are. They could've had an opportunity of Manhunter's dragon form vs Surfer's sword for a sci-fi knight vs dragon fight after Manhunter broke the board. This episode was probably a victim of time constraint since some episodes do feel like that. But regardless, I still had a good time with this episode and now have a better understanding of who these guys are, and hope they show up in more media outside of comics and cartoons. W reaction guys P.s Ed Boon (a.k.a. the creator of Mortal Kombat) said he'd wanted to do a Marvel vs DC game. But that was said before MK 11 came out, so copyright is probably what's stopping him, curse you copyright and greedy companies!
:36 I've been. Waiting on that game all my life lol. Marvel vs DC game would go so hard. And just like everything else there are already stories about the marvel and DC universe colliding. You got dope match ups like Captain America vs batman silver surfer vs Green lantern jubilee vs Robin etc. There's even a part in the story where a bunch of characters are fused. Like you get Dark Claw. A version of wolverine and batman fused. Would make a dope game
Few things, Psycho man is "just a human" but that doesn't really mean anything when you have humans gaining powers that can destroy universes, it's like saying martian manhunter is "just a martian". He's another organic being simply from another planet that doesn't tell you anything about the power he wields than trying to mitigate someone down to "just a human". In this instance Psycho man has mentally wrecked god level beings so he's far from just some regular guy. Similarly you try to play down the mind stone, sorry but no the mind stone is literally a cosmic level threat that can make any normal person wield the power of god like mental prowess, cap that off with it at the time being controlled by a entity with supreme intelligence and it's easily on part with martian man hunter if not exceeding it. As for his surfboard yes, he has at one time been written to break down when the board was lost.... he's also been shown later able to reform it instantly out of his own metal. The point is to take characters at their strongest, not their weakest or else we need to do the same for martian man hunter who has been felled by rather mundane things at times. Think of it this way, it would be kind of like us saying superman cant fly because he used to only leap buildings... obviously since then he's learned to fly so in a fight with him you give him the ability to fly since that's stronger than just leaping a building.
This is the reason why I hate death battles. Cause they don't truly do their research or truly understand the characters. Silver surfer could atomize martian. Real quick, the power cosmic is no joke. a lot of heroes in the Marvel universe that can take a fully powered. Silver surfer on.
The board was the source of power for SS in the 60/70s, by the 90s it was irrelevant. Like Superman in the 40s jumping over tall buildings versus what he did in the 80s…

He escaped from Quasar's construct, broke out of a planet that Michael Korvac formed by using nearby asteroids, physically subjugated a dwarf star thrown on him by an enhanced Deadpool and easily redirected it into outer space, and using his speed and strength, the Surfer shattered through several Vibranium walls that exploded on contact to save Nova. When he was extremely weakened, he still managed to pull the Galactus Incubator out of the young living planet Ego, and then throw it a few light-years away, and throw Stormbreaker out of a black hole. The Surfer's potential strength was once said to rival the Hulk's limitless rage-enhanced strength.
I love you all reaction but I think you're underestimating psycho man's telepathic abilities he was able to migrate gods and all that stuff and remember Infinity Stones have Limitless power doesn't matter who's using it it just matters how the person is using its power. And they didn't show that Silver Surfer also resisted mind powers from a God as well. Also I'm not sure if you guys paid attention to what death battle said they literally stated that he can just rebuild a brand new board anytime you want I've seen this happen in comics as well where he literally just regenerated his board back he can do it in an instant.
