I think being good is not subjective in football. I think the better player is the one who contribute more to the goal of the game which is winning the game. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are more flashy but contribute less than Messi. When Ronaldo gets the ball he often start to dribble or do something flashy and try to make himself look good, while Messi always trys to do what is the best option that gets the team closer to score a goal.

For me it is clear that Messi is the best player in the entire history of football. And when he finally won the world championship, he confirmed that he really is a goat. This concludes the debate about who is the best.

Liking a specific style of play is definitely relative. Ronaldinho was a lot more flashy. like is characteristic of Brazilian football. But Messi is just precise and practical while also being visually stunning. You can prefer Dinho's style of play over Messi's but as a footballer, Messi is miles clear of him and any other player. Statistically also Messi is the best.

There will never be anyone like him. People will realize this after he retires. Its something magical about him which has made so many fans intact to watch him even at 4am in the morning. Its not about how many goals or how many trophies, its about how he scored those goals there is no stat for those magical things he does on field. You can just put all the players in a group and compare them with the stats but Leo will be in another group all alone.

Messi is objectively the best player in history if you look at sheer talent in combination with making the most out of that talent for the longest period of time. You could argue that Maradona, Pele or someone else was slightly more talented, but for the complete package it's Messi every day of the week. However, when it comes to entertainment value I prefer Ronaldinho and other flashier dribblers. Messi is a minimalist genius, fooling people with balance and body feints, rarely with fancy tricks, which makes him look less spectacular. He basically makes his opponents look worse rather than making himself look spectacular. Like, most of the stuff he does is something I could do too... as long as I was playing against terrible players or 12-year olds!😄

In the UK back in the day, we started competitive football at the age of 6, we played in the under 7s local league, then you went onto under 9s then under 11s under 13s then under 16s. also playing for the school teams, playing against other schools. every other week, as we did with rugby, cricket in the summer we learned our craft, i sort of gave up the football, still played, but athletics, was what i turned out to be very good at. when i was 15 i was ranked 47 in the uk, but it was not going to be a career, my career was set to work in the factories

When Ronaldinho won the Ballon d'or , Messi was still in the Barcelona youth team, Ronaldinho was considered the best player in the world at that time hence the ballon d'or but he said you flatter me by calling me the best in the world because I am not even the best at Barcelona, he was referring to Messi being better than him and yet Messi was not even in Barcelona first team yet due to age regulations that just showed how special Messi was.

I played football to a high standard back in the day 70s and 80s, i was probably the smallest on the pitch, 5ft 5inc tall, i only weighed 8 stone 110 pounds in american weight. but being short like messi, gives you that low centre of gravity. able turn and twist easier, bigger taller guys for defense, stronger taller for the headers from corners and the likes to to defend your goal. being short is a plus, messi, being short is a plus for him, also, he uses both feet naturaly, which is something young kds should learn, dont keep keeping with good foot, go find a wall, kick the ball against that was 100 times a day with your week foot. i have 3 daughters, 2 off them both played football at our teams acadamy. train train train Great reaction by the way, love to see you girls ejoy the game, it only getting better for female sports, which i support watch the lionesses, win the european cup at wembley, with a record crowd for the ladies in the uk of 87 thousand.
