REACTING TO MY 22/23 PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS 

As a Leicester season ticket holder, I’m gutted that we have gone down. However, if someone told me 10 years ago that we would go up, win the league, win the FA Cup, Community shield, and play 3 seasons of European football including getting to a Champions League QF but then get relegated, I would have definitely taken it! I will have those memories for a lifetime

This was actually the 4th time in history all 3 promoted sides have stayed up, so not quite the first but it is rare!

As a Villa fan i didn't think at the start of the season we'd get Europa Conference League but Unai Emery has done wonders with Villa and can't wait to see how we do next season UTV🟣🔵

I expected Arsenal to do what they did this season. At the end of last season when Arsenal bottled a UCL spot I remembered what they did at around the middle to near the end of the season clawing back up from a mid table spot and I really witnessed how great some of their players were, and I also saw what nobody else did in Arteta I could see how he wanted to play but he just needed time. I saw his similarities to Pep and I saw his passion. But I didn’t think they could win. I saw their new additions to the team with Zinchenko helping out the midfield and Jesus giving them a goalscorer really improving on Nketiah, and Saliba coming back from his loan spell in France. But their squad doesn’t have enough depth. I was very worried about the wings and Cb’s. I predicted they stay in contention for the title but would just fall short at the end and predicted they come second behind City or even 3rd with Liverpool being second. I also predicted Chelsea wouldn’t do well I predicted 7th for them because they had made too many additions and the squad would be quite stiff and wouldn’t be used to each other. I also predicted Newcastle and Brighton would do well putting Newcastle in 6th because of their smart financial decisions, and I thought last season also Brighton were the dark horses of the prem and predicted them being 8th.

Fairplay to you putting some respect of Thomas Frank I'll admit I was worried we would go down this season but Buzzed with the season we had

Would like to see your predictions for other EFL leagues. Might be a bit difficult to judge tho if you don't watch any other leagues.

tbf Kane played 600 more minutes than Haaland. Still 30 goals at Spurs is incredible.

Great video. I’m sure you don’t care that much about suggestions, but would be a lot better if you put + and - next to the numbers in the diff column relative to your prediction. Like Newcastle +3 and West Ham -6 (instead of just 3 and 6).

Between the City vs Utd treble winning teams… as an impartial Villa fan I honestly dont think a single player from Utds 99 team gets into the City starting 11.

The 4th time all 3 teams stayed up And even funner fact, this is the 2nd time where all 3 promoted teams stayed up. AND all 3 relegated FROM the championship last season stayed down in league 1 too (Peterborough, Derby, Barnsley)

Man United's treble and City's potential are incomparable to me. City's team are probably better but football has changed a lot since then and they're a hell of a lot more expensive too. I think they're the best team of the modern era, but I'd count that from like 2010 onwards.

Smiv, you’ve had a shocker with Leicester. You said they didn’t really lose anyone. They lost Kasper Schmeichel who was the only leader in that team. They failed to replace him too because Ward wasn’t good enough.

As another Spurs fan, you summed it up perfectly for me. I've never felt less connected to the team than I did this season. Ihope they take something away from this disaster.

Didn't expect Arsenal to make top 4. I had them coming 6th or 7th. I had Newcastle 5th or 6th. Had Spurs and Chelsea top 4.

I got 72 points,was killed by predicting Fulham 17th aswell,had Leicester 10th,Chelsea 5th,West Ham 7th. I did get Leeds,wolves and city exactly right though

You're so right about conference league. To snub it is ridiculous. A decent trophy and gets you Europe for another seaosn even if, like us, you had a ropey league run. And Chelsea and Tottenham would be loving a final right now, anyone denying that is lying to themselves.

As Everton fan I wouldn’t take winning the league and going down because the championship is so competitive and we are struggling finically.

Unless Palace can lock in one of their top selections they should keep Roy in their pocket as an option for next season.

Palace fan - I'd like Paddy McCarthy to be given a proper chance with Roy mentoring him, reckon he could continue what Hodgson's done with the side since he came back and bring in a fresh perspective too. Ideally I want to see a long-term manager settle in and give us some stability, we've been solid in mid-table for a while now and a manager who's in it for the long run would be good to hopefully get us up into that top half :)

I did the same with my two sons. I also compared the Guardian and Phil McNulty from the BBC. I got 86 and my two sons 80 each. Phil McNulty was 82 and The Guardian won with 78. So your 80 was good.

Three right, one close, one good guess. Better than I would have done. This was a bizarre season. I hope Spurs have finally righted the ship. Never thought Mourinho or Conte were good choices for us, and let's not even mention Nuno. I would have been happy with Potter myself.

Been using the same points system for a few years with my mates. This season everyone did worse than ever, best was 74 points compared to previous average of 60 odd. Highest we’ve had was 33 points in 2018/19.

This has nothing to do with me being a United fan but I still say the 1999 United treble was better because they went up against better teams Arsenal, Liverpool, Blackburn those three teams were all better than most all the rest of the teams that were in the premier league this season except for Man city of course

i would not take winning the prem and going down, we (villa) are already going in the right direction and in maybe 5 years we can challenge for champions league football, and maybe in 10 if we keep out shit together we could challenge for it all
