I didn’t know if I wanted a veil, then I watched say yes to the dress and the guy said a bride without a veil is just a pretty girl in a dress. So I got the veil. 😂

I'm getting married in 4 months and originally I was going to do a donut wall because it sounds really cool but opted for a pie bar for my fiancée groom cake and a churro cart as our party favors!

I got married in Jan 2015 so yeah I planned in 2014 and a lot of that was definitely the trends for that time. I had a candy bar at my wedding and it was the best!

My hubby and I had a Halloween themed wedding 9 yrs ago. (we were 59 & 53) and it was soooo much fun...but...boy was it a lot of planning and organizing and shopping for....(and a tad expensive too, lol) but, I wouldn't have changed anything about it....
hear me out. in pittsburgh we have ✨cookie tables✨ where all of the closest friends and family bring cookies to the wedding and everyone gets to try a lil of everything! and then the bride and groom supply boxes to for the guests to bring home cookies🥰
My boyfriend & I just went ring shopping. I went for a simple white gold band & round solitaire. I was on the fence about oval, but quickly made my mind up after trying them on.
I had doughnuts at my wedding and it was the best idea ever! We even had extras for breakfast the next day. But, it is your wedding and you can have whatever desserts you want!
I deleted my wedding board after I actually got married. BUT we bought a house a couple of years ago and this video helped me remember that I started a "no place like home" board almost 10 years ago. Apparently my taste hasn't changed at all, because I unintentionally did a lot of those ideas without ever checking the board. haha
I will say, I also had a board like this that I made in high school and now at 25 I’m having my actual wedding, nothing is the same. My taste has changed 100% from what I had liked before. I actually got married in my home over a year ago, with just a friend that’s ordained and two other best friends who could sign the license as our witnesses so now that Covid has calmed down we’re throwing a party to celebrate our marriage and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So much of the planning stress is gone because we’re already married. It’s just the people who matter most to us who are all getting together to eat some good food and dance for a few hours
Two of my favs from weddings: 1. There was a separate more fun cake for the groom to have fun designing without being aesthetic level cute. 2. Bringing out pizza at the end of the night at the party to help sober up and help with cravings
