I love how Jack was just smiling the whole way through, he clearly loves Durham and has the best memories from there and I can only hope that I have the same love since I'm starting in September and I feel so lucky and excited to go there because I already love the city so much. Just finished uni and I remember the feeling of complete terror starting. I cried myself to sleep for a solid week! I wish I could go back and tell myself it’s all going to be okay and that I would have the time of my life and make some of my closest friends. I hope we all get to experience a graduation, it doesn’t feel right this being the end. Well done Jack!! Xx

I feel you. I too am a first in my family to go to university. My parents kept panicking about the student debt I will be taking. I had some hard time explaining that I do not have to pay it right off. Now I work full time, and my dad and mom cannot believe one of their own is an office man with a suit and tie. It is worth risking this chance to a better life.

the whole concept of moving to university is so foreign to me because my uni is literally an 18 minute or 30 minute train ride away depending on the line, but also the first year uni experience was stolen cause we're online now. i literally did one class there in march and from april its been online.

I'm also in my third and final year in uni at the moment and I remember feeling literally the exact same about everything and it's so weird watching you react because that's how I feel too watching this. Oh my god, im feeling soooo nostalgic watching this video. I am currently doing my first uni year in Belgium and I feel that because of those 3 month of quarantine the beginning of the year happened several years ago or even did not happen at all. I missed and will miss so many first times and it makes me feel really weird and sad. I feel like the world is on pause and nothing will be the same as soon as it resumes. In the beginning of next year, we won’t have irl courses, we’ll mostly have online classes and uni activities like parties and everything that builds uni life (for me at least) won’t happen again before a long time. I dreamed about going to uni almost all my life and now I feel like everything I dreamed of is taken from me and I wont be able to live them. Thank you for sharing your uni life with us. I started watching you in high school and now im in uni too and loved every part of it. I’m looking forward to see how you’ll evolve in life through your videos :)
