Yuki's cage was honestly on the small side, if I was her owner I would definitely work towards getting a flight cage. Also, I couldn't see a water dish or food dish in the cage!
this whole series not only is so iconic to your youtube channel but also really does help me and a lot of bird owners know and learn more on what to do and what not too. thank you xx
Thanks to these sort of videos, my cockatiel went from a 1x2 foot cage with a few toys and a seed diet to a 3x4 foot (around 5 feet tall) cage with tons of toys and a pellet diet with veggies. I also got them a little roommate that they love!
You should do a cage tour of your bird’s cage! (If you haven’t already) I’m getting a cockatiel and have done lots of research but I like to look at other cages just to make sure. Also I have the same cage that’s in the first pic except a different color
Some of the cages on this series is disturbing and really sad, the fact people send them to you confidently says they just don't know any better but 😳 really? This is why I hate minimums, I know why we have minimums but no one should be looking for the bare minimum. If you can't afford a large cage that your bird can thrive in, you can't afford a parrot, I'm sorry. I can't stand it 😭
I recently got a cockatiel from my boyfriends grandma and named her Yoshi! I've had an IRN (Sky) for 13 yrs and they are so different! Your videos taught me some good info on how to care for this little clumsy baby I was feeling kinda lost. Thank you 😊💓
Thanks to you shelly. I got a lutino cockatiel as a bday gift because of you. I learned a lot from your channel. I only got him\her because I knew lot about cockatiels. Thank you so much shelly. Now he is in my house for over a week. I still watch your videos about cockatiels. I will support you no matter what. Once again thank you😊🙏. I am not lying trust me. It's the truth.
Once I move out, or when I get the chance to, I will get either a cockatiel or a green cheek conjure, or maybe both. So watching you and ellethebirds info and tips, I think I will make a good birb parent lol :D
Can you make a video about cockatiel's food, toys(with the toy's names), cage sizes, safety and when they should go inside their cages.(all in one video) Please😊 It would be really helpful.
Hey Shelly. I have posted a comment today that says thanks to you for my cockatiel etc. Its in the same video. And that cockatiel passed away today itself. At Indian time 8:20 Wednesday. I'm not having a good day. Anyways I learned a lot from you for my cockatiel. 😢💔
The water dispenser things. My bird refuses to drink out of anything else, even if i have bowls and plates around, he wont touch them. I've compromised by just replacing the water dispenser every 3 months. Fussy boy
I love Emma and Charlie they are so cute and I’m maybe going to get a cockatiel that I’m going to name kip the birb this helps me in the information that I need for little kip needs to be in the cage so thanks :D
Shelly, you should try sprouting seeds for Emma + Charli!! It's super super healthy, and most birdies LOVE them! They're really easy to sprout too! Also, consider including some safe herbs, spices and edible flowers in your birdies diets!🤍🤍 BirdNerdSophie and WarGamingParrot have some nice videos about that
I didn’t think I had bad allergies until I got my bird. It’s also not a good idea to keep them where you sleep. Edit: I forgot to mention, that even though I said it’s not a good idea to keep them where you sleep, I do. (I just have to live with the allergies lol)
I'm just trying to understand what Sky's owner, and the owner of the two tiels in the tiny cage, were expecting your reaction to be? Especially Sky's owner.. a small cage with two skinny perches and nothing else.. WHAT did they expect as a reaction!?👁️👄👁️
hi, I'm hoping to get a cockatiel hopefully this year once I can afford to give them the best life possible but I'm also a plant lover do they have a habit of chewing on plants?
It's beechwood chips which is perfectly fine my GCC and IRN have substrate and I wouldn't have it any other way it's more fun they enjoy foraging in it in is pine or sawdust which is highly toxic.
yukis cage is farrr too small wdym???? its basically just a metal table-top cage.... like i genuinley belive that the previouse bird cage that u called too small is bigger than yukis
while that may be true, I trust that these cockatiels are getting lots of outside of their cage time and I can obviously assume that with the use of natural sticks outside of Yuki’s cage! BUT as I said, it’s hard to tell the exact sizes from these photos!
@@saeshell Ye that makes sense it just frustrating when you see big RU-vidrs who say metal tabletop cages are a good size like,I'd rather put my bird in a small but wide cage over a tabletop, did that make sense😅
hey shelly, you prooooobably won't see this but if you do i just wanted to let you know that i love you in the best (and not weird) way possible. i aspire to be like you and i love your videos! keep doin what you're doin we love you
hey it’s super important to have an avian vet nearby as it’s essential to your bird & it’s health. My birds haven’t been sick but I have needed to take them to the avian vet for emergencies.
@@saeshell thank you I found a avien vet but it is a hour a way so I can going to try looking for a closer one near me and by the way I love Emma and iam getting that type of cockatiel soon and I am buying a flight cage for it.
The one in the tiny cage is from Bangladesh I think because in Bangladesh they don't take care of birds that well they always say seeds are good for Cokatiel feed them only seeds And always show the smallest cage and it's so bad and like they make bad toys for them too and no natural perches in Bangladesh LIKE I HAD TO TAKE NATURAL PERCHES FROM TREES THAT ARE SAFE FOR BIRDS so some people can be to poor to afford a great bird cage setup too but they need to try they're best
Heyo amazing person and people, I was wondering if a 30x18x36 inch cage would be ok for a cockatiel. I wanna give my baby the best life before I get him but also on more of a budget 😅. Also amazing video! 💕💕💕
I will always recommend flight cages to be the perfect size for tiels! It’s incredibly hard to hear but having a bird on a budget isn’t really do-able as you need to take into consideration how much money their food, toys and unexpected vet bills cost!
Thank you so much! The cage is listed as a flight cage, but I don’t really know, also we’re not really on a budget for the bird just the cage that way we have extra money put away just incase of emergency vet bills or so lol but thanks so much for the advice, your amazing 😊
@@cooperandalexgame8210 That’s really good to hear! I always stress when people say they want an animal on a budget like ahh that’s not possible but I’m so glad you clarified ! 🤍🤍 if it’s listed as a flight cage you should be fine! I wish you the best for you & your future feathered friend (:
thank you so much again, your videos have taught me so much about bird care and now I’m 1000x more ready for a bird than before I started watching your videos ❤️
Hi Shelly, I recently watched a video of your's and couldn't stop watching more and more....😁 I am just loving your videos❤ AND WE SURE WANT MORE PARTS!! I am planning to get a cockatiel, hope I get one very soon And once I fill that cage with some food and toys and everything I will send my pic to you And hope you will react to my cage too....
Hey Shelly if u see this the pic of my bird is my profile and I think she is adorable and I love ur vid and ur birds and u (not trying to sound weird) I just hope u see this and I have a video idea 💡 for u to find more bird recipes and make them and let ur birds try them xxxx
My lovebird either throws food out or starts splashing water off its bowls and scream at the top of her lungs if I keep her inside for even an hour straight 😭🤣
