My terrible predictions this year had some understandable bad calls, but many I could have been smarter with. Let me know how you guys did in your group stage predictions! TikTok: / hrvizak Instagram: / hrvizak Twitter: / hrvizak
Beinfica form was shocking this campaign. Ramos and Grimaldo where huge losses, but I really thought that Cabral would be better then he is. But that being said I do think that we have a very good chance of going far in the Europa league. If we can get another solid full back and fix our scoring issues we honestly have a very good team. Joao Neves is a beast and there is still a lot of quality with Rafa, Di Maria, Mario and Antonio. With some smart signings we are gonna be a powerhouse in the Europa League
I am an italian Inter Fan. We lost the first place for two reasons: Sociedad played really well so they deserved it, but also because in champions league the coach did a massive turn over... it felt like a waste... because destroying Udinese 4-0 in the league with the "first squad" felt unnecessary...
I am a Galatasaray fan. Copenhagen has interestingly been matched with Turkish teams in the last few years. First, they eliminated Başakşehir, then successively Sivasspor and Trabzonspor. This year, they were in a situation where a draw against Galatasaray would be enough for them. Playing a very smart game, they won the match and advanced to the round of 16. I must also admit that we Turks are not accustomed to cold weather. Turkish teams have always struggled in northern countries, regardless of which one. The Copenhagen-Galatasaray match was played in freezing cold, reaching -5 degrees. I also admire the Copenhagen fans. They have a fan base that is very devoted to their team. They literally warmed up that cold night.
Funny how spanish teams who also normally plays in hotter weather doesnt have a problem playing in the cold?😂 stop the excuses. It was a disgrace that both man u and gala went out to copenhagen. Both teams spending 50x times more than copenhagen and still have the audacity to claim themselves as big teams in europe without showing for it. Embarrassing
Yes, Spanish teams also struggle in cold away matches, but Spanish football culture is more developed compared to Turkish football culture. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Football is not just about money. The 22 players on the field are all competing, and that's it. I congratulate Copenhagen. They are a fantastic club. Also, Galatasaray's budget is not 50 times larger than Copenhagen's. Copenhagen is the best team in all of Scandinavia and their budgets are not that low either. We should definitely not underestimate them.@@JacobGreen123123
@@JacobGreen123123 are you sad because your team got relegated or something? galatasaray and man unt are significant teams in europe. still, it is sad to see that a strong team like gala couldn't advance because of copenhagen. good luck to gala on play offs but man unt, they got some work to do.
Copenhagen always spank and/or outsmart the slow paced (old-men "names" ) and tactically weak Turkish sides, so that was no surprise, and with United being in this poor shape they were bound to lose away to Copenhagen, that has only lost 2 home games in a CL group stage ever. 0-2 vs. Real Madrid 10 years ago, and then now narrowly and rather unlucky 1-2 to Bayern. Sure, FC Copenhagen have a fairly small budget and no world class players, but they are kind of like Brentford in many ways, except that Copenhagen have an excellent youth department and won the Youth League group stage ahead of Bayern, Galatasaray and United. So they are better at youth development and good at scouting the right players, without spending too much.

@@MoveMentofEnlightenMent .. Danish teams are always quite low budget, but tactically very clever (which is why I also mentioned Brentford, run by a Dane and Danish principles) and have an excellent youth department, which then also favor the National Team. Top Turkish sides seem to favor buying older "names" who are no longer at their best and lack pace, unlike younger players. Old "stars" surely looks great on paper and are expensive.
You're absolutely right. However, the competition in Turkish football is at a magnificent level. Leading clubs like Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor always seek temporary solutions to keep their fans happy. Only Galatasaray invested in young players in the 21/22 season, yet despite leading their group in the UEFA Europa League, they finished the league in 13th place, marking one of the worst performances in their history, so that plan failed.@@agffans5725
You're just talking nonsense. Copenhagen were just playing defensively and they were just lucky. Also, their draw against Bayern was completely unfair. The female referee did not give Bayern a clear penalty at the last minute. Also look at the game Galatasaray played against Bayern Munich. Galatasaray clearly dominated. The play they played in both matches was incredible. In the match they lost 2-1, the referee did not give Alphonso Davies a second yellow card. You can understand this from Alphonso Davies' overreaction. And they did not show the offside line in the goal scored by Bayern, which is clearly a violation of the rules. For the first time in the history of the Champions League, VAR examined the position twice, such a thing is unacceptable. Moreover, the first goal scored by Galatasaray was canceled due to offside, but they drew the line based on the wrong defender. Just go and watch the match and you'll see what I mean. UEFA mafia wanted to eliminate Galatasaray and favored Copenhagen because Türkiye supported Palestine in the Israel-Palestine war. Likewise, look at what the Celtic team went through when they supported Palestine. You can also look at Galatasaray's balls returning from the post and the game they played in the match that ended 2-2. They crushed Copenhagen, but they were just unlucky. You are all incorrigibly blind. In some big football schools, Galatasaray's superiority over Bayern Munich is shown as a lesson, and you still claim that Copenhagen, which pulled a bus in front of the goal, played better. Shameless guy.
You gotta think, with teams changing their lineups and getting new players, the chemistry of the team isn't going to be as strong as it was before the squad change. Even though they have great players, they don't know how to play together yet. Once they hit mid season or later they'll play better
i personally think a shoutout to the Copenhagen youth squad is in order considering they topped their group losing only 2-1 to bayern away, and beating Galatasaray 5-1 away and 6-0 home.
As a Feyenoord fan, this was a bit disappointing. Before the first matchday happend i knew my team could've, maybe should've got at least 2nd place, cuz i think we were better than Lazio and we were in such a great form. Especially after matchday 3 where we beat lazio 3-1 and got 6 points out of 3 games i thought we would make it.. but unfortunately we didnt reward ourselves, cuz we might have lost 4 games and only won 2, but if you have seen us actually play we deserved at least 10 points instead of 6, the only game we lost fairly was against Atletico at home, 1-3. Away we lost 3-2 but deserved atleast a draw, maybe even a win. Away against Lazio we lost 1-0 where we also should have won, and against Celtic we lost cuz i think we were confirmed to be 3th anyway, cuz we were also better than Celtic but lost in extra time 2-1. In terms of how we played i think we deserved more than Lazio to be in the last 16, but in terms of consistent we didnt, we lacked expierence. Anyways, i hope we get back in form and maybe can do something in Europa League again, this time *not* losing against roma i hope....
Lazio away 1-0, 1 shot on target for Lazio. Atletico away 3-2, 3 shots on target. Is was hard not to be postive when we were better then the other team every single time. But yea I felt like we were just really choked and were very unlucky.
As a Salzburg Fan I'm disappointed with this year's performance. It was a difficult group, but our team isn't in the best form and the players aren't as good as in the previous campaigns. Salzburg used to be an exciting team with attacking football that hooks everyone, but right now a lot of this identity was lost. Also, many fans are not happy with the new coach Gerhard Struber, who previously coached New York Red Bulls.
As a benfica fan im really disappointed, we had a team way better in paper than in the last 2 seasons but played like shit, still kudos to real sociedad, they have been brilliant hope they do good
Good video! Could have spoken more about FC Porto though. Once again reaching the last 16, played well, fought hard against Barcelona, especially at the Estádio Do Dragão and beat shakhtar and Antwerp both times. People do like to sleep on the portuguese teams
I've said it before, I stopped watching Man United for the sake of my sanity, and I'm getting ready for a 9-0 on Sunday and then reading about it on the news on Monday 🤣
My predictions were:- Group A:- 1st. Bayern Munich 🇩🇪 2nd. Galatasaray 🇹🇷 3rd. Manchester United 🏴 4th. Copenhagen 🇩🇰 But it's changed, Copenhagen proofed me wrong about them. Group B:- 1st. Arsenal 🏴 2nd. PSV Eindhoven 🇳🇱 3rd. Sevilla 🇪🇸 4th. Lens 🇫🇷 Well done Lens, proofed me wrong. Dreadful performance by Sevilla.😵💫 Group C:- 1st. Real Madrid 🇪🇸 2nd. Napoli 🇮🇹 3rd. Union Berlin 🇩🇪 4th. SC Braga 🇵🇹 Disappointed with Berlin, I thought they would make for Europa League. Group D:- 1st. Inter Milan 🇮🇹 2nd. Benfica 🇵🇹 3rd. Real Sociedad 🇪🇸 4th. RB Salzburg 🇦🇹 Welldone Real Sociedad, that was really embarrassment from Benfica. Group E:- 1st. Feyenoord 🇳🇱 2nd. Atletico Madrid 🇪🇸 3rd. Lazio 🇮🇹 4th. Celtic 🏴 Feyenoord really disappoint me. I didn't even thought Lazio would make up to knockouts. Group F:- 1st. AC Milan 🇮🇹 2nd. Paris-Saint-Germain 🇫🇷 3rd. Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪 4th. Newcastle 🏴 Take a bow Dortmund, that was an absolute dreadful performance by Milan. I thought they would finish the group top. Group G:- 1st. Manchester City 🏴 2nd. RB Leipzig 🇩🇪 3rd. Young Boys 🇨🇭 4th. Crvena Zvezda 🇷🇸 That was really correct as I thought about the performance. Group H:- 1st. Barcelona 🇪🇸 2nd. FC Porto 🇵🇹 3rd. Shakhtar Donetsk 🇺🇦 4th. Antwerp 🇧🇪 My thoughts were correct, but Barcelona really disappoint me lose against Shakhtar and Antwerp. My two predictions were correct, many groups proofs me wrong, many disappoints me also. Let's see who gonna dominate in knockouts. 😅😊❤
Benfica experienced some change over the summer, but many expected it might be an even further improvement . Sadly it was not at all, and we had an embarrassing campaign…. I hope things change in the coming months.
As a Benfica fan that was a terrible campaign, the first match was very unlucky conceding 2 pens and 1 red card in 15mins, was not a good start for sure, of course that made us lose the first game, after that we lost 1-0 in san siro wich isnt bad cus inter is very good and was playing at home, but losing twice to real sociedad on top of that its very sad, dont get me wrong, sociedad plays very good but we should do better, then we lose a 3-0 wins to inter at home (that cant happen). In the end we beat salzburgo (no surprise) and got the 3rd spot. If we manage to wake up before the uel knockouts we definetly can win uel
As a Porto fan, I'm really impressed with our display this season, we even could've got 1st place if we didn't get robbed against Barcelona, not only that but both games against them we were superior. I do have to say that Shaktar were really bad and don't see why you were praizing them, since their style of play was really weird. You said they had put an interesting game against Porto, but their first goal shouldn't have counted, they got a lucky own-goal by Eustáquio and didn't really do much more, as Porto dominated the whole entire game. If they weren't that lucky they would've got demolished against us. As for Antwerp, I don't really have much to say as we did really good against them. So, this season I really see Porto going far, so far as maybe getting a quarter-final spot. I'm really impressed with what Sergio Conceição has done at Porto, we have a lot of financial problems, a lot of injuries, a lot of problems inside the club and are in need of new players, but still are doing incredibly well with him, specially with that much problems.
I'm absolutely an unlucky man. Look at my predictions. Only Group H that had a correct order after the group stage. Barcelona had even lost to Antwerp on the final day! Group A and B had a correct group winners, while C and G had a correct group winners and runners up. That's still obvious. So close for Inter Milan and PSG, who only finished 2nd in Group D and F, respectively. Even Group E and F had a completely different order. I'm even disappointed to see Champions League semifinalist Milan and Dutch champion Feyenoord only grabbing the Europa League. This is my predictions in September: Group A: Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Galatasaray, Copenhagen. Group B: Arsenal, Sevilla, PSV Eindhoven, Lens. Group C: Real Madrid, Napoli, Union Berlin, Braga. Group D: Inter Milan, Benfica, Real Sociedad, RB Salzburg. Group E: Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Celtic. Group F: Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United. Group G: Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, Young Boys. Group H: Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Royal Antwerp. See you in Tuesday for Round of 16 predictions!
I think just showing what your predictions were and explaining more from the results would get better likes from your viewers. Because the video would be shorter and more fascinating
I'm from Antwerp, didn't expect us to go through, it was a bit embarrassing when it seemed we would be the only team with 0 points, but for our European campaign to die with an upset win against a European giant like Barcelona is about as glorious a death we could have hoped for.
Dortmund is my team so i was completely biased and put them first then put psg second, milan 3rd and neecastle 4 and got fully correct the hardest group😂
Its called round of 16 playoff 8 matches from 2 teams that will face each other then its quarter final with 4 matches and 8 teams to go and then its semi final and then final
As a Dortmund fan, i have no fcking idea how we ended up first in this group. I'll take it. Hot take: We make it to the quaterfinals and our hearts will be broken there by Bellingham against Real Madrid.
my predictions (👍 for correct) Group A: Bayern 👍 Man united 💀 Galatasaray 👍 Kopenhagen yeah no this was at the start of the season when man united looked kind of good with a 3rd place finish Group B: Arsenal 👍 PSV 👍 Sevilla Lens SO CLOSE SO DAMN CLOSE I EVEN HAD LENS ONLY ONE POINT BEHIND SEVILLA HFGUWUWFEHNGFVEH Group C: Real Madrid 👍 Napoli 👍 Union Berlin Braga not as mad about this one though i am kinda mad Group D: Inter Milan Real Sociedad Benfica 👍 Salzburg 👍 FFS INTER MILAND AKFHUAGF WEBHB FY Group E: Atleti 👍 Feyenoord Lazio Celtic 👍 eh Group F: Dortmund 👍 AC Milan Newcastle PSG Group G: Man City 👍 Leipzig 👍 Young Boys 👍 Red Star 👍 FINALLY that was a great prediction i hope i can follow it up Group H: Antwerp Barcelona Porto Shakhtar Donetsk WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS I ON!?!?!?!?
Porto won all their games, except the 2 they lost against Barcelona. Meanwhile Barcelona lost a game against the two weaker teams, and they tied in points. Funny how it works sometimes
My predictions for Group A were: 1. FC Bayern Munich 🇩🇪 2. Galatasaray 🇹🇷 3. FC Copenhagen 🇩🇰 4. Manchester United 🏴 I've never been so happy to be wrong. I really like fairy tale runs. My predictions for the group of death were: 1. PSG 🇫🇷 2. AC Milan 🇮🇹 3. Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪 4. Newcastle United 🏴 AC Milan was just disappointing in the UCL this time around. I had them up top because of their UCL Semi Finals run last season.
