I was backstage working on props for my high school's performance of Days of Our Nights and the police man was supposed to slide toy guns across the stage so i can catch it on stage left but he kept throwing them and each show used close to 20 guns so for 4 shows i got bruises on my legs from the guns consistently hitting them or else they would hit the metal sound board backstage and make the loudest sound ever. One gun actually hit a girl so hard she got knocked over

I absolutely LOVE Singin In The Rain! Me and my sisters went see it at our local colleges theater and it was SOOOO GOOD! I enjoyed every minute of it and it made me want to be in theater! But I'm more of a musical, trumpet person so I play in the pit. My friend Eli is the theater person and we actually had a part in a musical and I got out of the pit and I was just supposed to run away from him and once we got back on stage, he picked me up and put me in a box and his character was mad so he broke something and the adult in the musical said "This is why we don't have nice things!", also thank you for showing these!

If it makes you feel any better (about the judas thing) in HS I was forced to sing soprano because I was the only guy in vocal at the time and they thought my tenor would be drowned out so just imagine an awkward chubby kid on stage singing soprano... yup i wasn't picked on lol

Kevin Logans it's actually one of the, if not the highest, female part. Tenor and Sopranos parts often are the same only in different octives.

God I relate to that Hook just trying to make the most of an on-stage mess-up. That happens all the time in my school drama department, and some of the funniest outcomes have come of it. It makes for the best stories too.

Ok so my school is actually doing Return to The Forbidden Planet currently and I completely forgot this video existed and my friend (who is also in the musical) asked me if I saw this video before (she knows I watch his videos) and she told me about him playing prospero and I started legit freaking out so I wanted to watch the video again and the song that he was singing is called “Misunderstood” and I started singing along and I felt SO FREAKING HAPPY

I was "Slightly" in Peter Pan a few months ago (we had to be called "the lost kids" because there were only 4 boys in the entire cast) and almost the exact thing happened to us, except it was during a fight scene and Captain Hook's hook fell completely off! Thankfully Wendy ad-libbed a few lines to make it seem like we planned that but it's one of the most hilarious things that's happened to me onstage. That and accidentally ripping a doll's arm off which was supposed to be baby Jesus.

If these are all highschool plays, then... damn, the sets!! My highschool doesn't even have a stage like that. We have a black box theatre and no funds to do anything set wise. Its hard enough to pay copyright for shows + scripts and minimal props. You lucky duck. But no, those were all amazing!!

I was in a production of Peter Pan when I was 12, and all the lost boys (which included me) were all girls, and at the time I had bright pink glasses which I had to wear so the magic was kind of ruined.
