We knew that his voice was that deep but we never really got a good low moment like that before

Imo, Halazia is the slightly creepy love child of Answer and Guerrilla, and it might just be my favorite title track in a year stacked with great tt's from all my favorite groups. I live for how dramatic it is (with all of them absolutely *delivering* on the emotions), and can't wait for the live performance, because the choreo looks amazing.

Omg, I thought that too! The sound is somewhere between Answer and Guerilla 👀 And all of them are probably my favorite Ateez songs 😂

Have you seen the dance practice? The choreo is insane! Everyone has their moment to shine, everyone is on point. The whole thing is breathtaking!

The good thing about Yeosang is that his low deep voice gives chills, but he can also sing higher and that sounds very soothing and calm. It's rare to see such balance, he's a lyric baritone!!❤️

Yeah, Yeosang is known for his deep, rich vocal tone. He hasn't had a lot of opportunity to display it but it's perfect in this song! How great are both of these songs? Halazia, in particular, is magnificent! I adore the production on it so much. Glad you love them too 💗

Thanks for checking these out Pagan. I absolutely loved Paradigm, it's such a unique and interesting track. But damn, Halazia hits different. It's not as intense as Guerilla (though I appreciated the nod to it in the choreo if I saw what I think I saw), but the end section hits hard. Your jaw dropped like mine did. And in answer to your question...no, I did not know Yeosang's voice went that deep. Made me feel all sorts of ways for sure lol - A

I was speechless when I first listened to Halazia today, such a great song! The perfect song to end the year with and probably one of my top songs of 2022 ❤️‍🔥 Ateez really slayed this year! 🙌🏼 And no I didn't know Yeosang's voice was that deep as I'm just getting more into them 👀 But damn I want more of it 🔥😂

My favorite part of this song; JongHo's high note addlip in harmony over YeoSangs deep vocals - it's just... eargasm 🤯🤯 It also settled for me, that YeoSang is my ATEEZ bias, along with YunHo 😉 But then again, ever since getting into kpop two years ago, I've been a sucker for good addlip. And it's something ATEEZ does so, so well 🙂 Also, I'm gonna see them this year too, and I am so, so excited!!

Hear in the background at 10:00, same melody & drum pattern as in the ending of Guerilla, where the kid escapes the school. No reactor picks up on that, I find it very intersesting that they find a use for it, or even hinted at it in Guerilla

If they do perform Halazia at the concert you see, I'd be VERY JEALOUS. I saw them for their Break the Wall Tour in November!!! I'd imagine that they'd keep the set list the same for the Break the Wall Europe leg of the tour...we shall see!!! EITHER WAY both Paradigm and Halazia are SO GOOD!!! I need their next full-length album thanks 😂😂 I also wonder if Halazia is the prologue to the rest of the lore??? Like Guerrilla and such?!?!?!? It feels like it could be!!!

Their new title track is Spray and they have awesome songs like their debut title track Twilight, others are Bye Bye Bye, All or Nothing, Too Bad, Starry Night. They have other amazing songs too of course :) They debuted in 5th of October 2020. Thank you and have an amazing 2023 🎉💜

@Citizen_in_mingi_s_dimple1117
Im gonna put the storyline of ateez here in replies for anyone who wants to get to know them n understand their storyline
@Citizen_in_mingi_s_dimple1117
So first these are some definitions Android Guardians: ‍Operatives of the tyrannical government, all clas in white with full face masks, were originally unleashed to apprehend Halateez (Fever Pt. 2). Black Pirates: A resistance group against the tyrannical government left by Halateez (Fever Pt. 2). Cromer: A Mayan relic, formed in the shape of an hourglass, allows the user to move across different dimensions and mimics the moon’s movement (Fever Pt. 2, Fever Epilogue). Sciensalvar: ‍A religious movement established in 1999 by scientist Henry Jo, that believes that humans are collections of energy and that science is the key to solving human concerns (Fever Epilogue). Strictland: ‍The dimension that ATEEZ enters, led by the tyrannical government, and home to the Strictland Dump (Fever Pt. 2, Fever Pt. 3).
@Citizen_in_mingi_s_dimple1117
1 ATEEZ are a group of 8 teens from different walks of life, who come together and bond through their own desire for self-expression in their individual lives. One summer day, Hongjoong is approached by a man dressed in black, donning a fedora and mask. He has presented an hourglass, what the man in black calls the ‘Cromer’. Hongjoong looks at this hourglass, and then back at this mysterious Man in the Black Fedora, only to find him gone, leaving Hongjoong with the Cromer. 2 There was a flash, and as the group came to discover what had happened, a voice came from outside the hideout the boys resided in. Then the door was forced open and giants clad in white, inhuman giants with masks covering their entire face appeared, looking at the Cromer. Hongjoong threw a piece of glass to distract the newcomers and the group ran away. This place was familiar, yet different to the teens. As the group ran Wooyoung broke his ankle but was saved by two siblings, at the cost of the Cromer being lost. The two siblings led the group to a different hideout in a place called Strictland Dump. 3 The siblings explain that this new dimension is one ruled by a tyrannical government. Music, art, and expression are banned, as this government deemed emotion to be the cause of crime and terrorism in this reality. Logic was favored over expression, and the world gradually enjoyed material wealth, but emotional deficiency. In response, 8 men dressed in techwear, with masks and fedoras to hide their identities began performing in the streets. They attracted more and more people, eventually creating a resistance called ‘Black Pirates’. To stop the rebellion, the government instated the ‘Andriod Guardians’, the white-clad giants, to apprehend the 8 leaders. The leaders had been able to evade arrest with the help of the Cromer, but the Andriod Guardians had proven too much, and thus they were captured. 4 To find the Cromer, the group had to find the ‘Andriod Bunker’ and for that needed the help of Left Eye, the man who ran Strictland Dump. After a scuffle, Left Eye gave them the location, the group procured a ship and began their journey to the bunker: a gallery hidden away on a small island. Once on the island, the group of 8 broke into the gallery, encountering drunk guardians sprawled across the floor, and the Men in Black Fedora trapped in glass prisons. A man removes his mask once they are noticed. He looked exactly like Hongjoong. After a brief conversation, the boys switch clothes, and the group of 7 flee in the black suits. Yeosang had gone on his own, and as he came back to his friends, noticed they had since been cornered by the Android Guardians. In a split-second decision, as Hongjoong threw the Cromer to the Guardians to save them all, Yeosang grabbed the Cromer and turned it. As the guardians began to chase Yeosang, he smashed it. 5 7 of them made it back to the original dimension. It was different again, as the boys had landed in the past before their group had even formed before the boys had all undergone tragic loss in their own ways. But now they were missing Yeosang. They wanted to find him, and through a twist of fate, found this dimension’s Cromer on display in a museum. And the members decided to go get it and save him. All except Yunho, who didn’t want to leave this timeline, as in the last timeline he would lose his brother. The members respected this, and 6 of them went on to attempt to break into the museum.
@Citizen_in_mingi_s_dimple1117
6 In this dimension, there was another competitor for the Cromer. A religion called Sciensalvar, and its leader Henry Jo. As the group of 6 broke into the museum to retrieve the Cromer, so had Henry Jo and his followers, and the 6 were quickly taken hostage. Yunho got word of this and went to save them, followed by his brother. As the two raced to the scene, Yunho’s brother was once again lost in a car crash. With this, Yunho finally made his choice and, with his group of biker friends, went to save the group. The bikers surrounded the place, and as Henry Jo realized what was going on amongst the revving of engines and yelling of his followers, Woyoung grabbed the Cromer and turned it. 7 Yeosang was trapped in the other dimension, in a similar glass prison to before. He was surrounded by the bodies of Black Pirates, their biological energy drained, black sheets covering them. As Yeosang stood trapped, a trumpet sounded from somewhere in the gallery. There was banging and yelling. Then the door opened and a Man in Black approached Yeosang. As the man removed his mask, Yeosang finally felt relief. It was Seonghwa. 8 In their hideout, a small signal came over the machine with what was left of the Black Pirates. Morse core reading ‘SAY MY NAME. ATEEZ’. 9 Time progresses, and ATEEZ begins reuniting the original Men in Fedoras, culminating in the two groups finally meeting face to face for the first time. But the Android Guardians are hot on their trail, determined to finally crush this rebellion.

The melody behind the chorus of Paradigm reminded me a bit of The Real and the shot in the chorus where they are underground reminded me of Deja Vu - what in the inception 😳 Both songs are freaking amazing - and Halazia is just chef kiss in everything!!! Also Seonghwa is incredibly beautiful in this!😍 And of the course the rap in Halazia is perfect!! love it soooo much

"Paradigm" is a Japanese release, so while the lore is connected, musically it is more geared to the Japanese market. Honestly it's not my favorite Japanese release of theirs, I feel like their other Japanese releases are way better, but it's still a good song. Enjoy seeing them in Europe, they're just fantastic live.

Paradigm is from their Japanese album that came out early this month, whereas Halazia is from their Korean EP that was released yesterday (for me) I’m not trying to say that they put more effort into their Korean music video than their Japanese music video, because Paradigm is still a fantastic song, but yeah…that’s what I’m saying.

Thank you. There are special groups in K-pop... maybe to us westerners. Me.... Big Bang, Stray Kids and Ateez. And BTS.. and Ikon.They just have that something. That being said. Stray Kids... ummm BTS... all say that Big Bang are their idols. Ummm ... the coolest thing is about to happen. Taeyang, from Big Bang... doing a comeback album in January, is about to happen, and Jimin is a featured artist on the album. We are all waiting for this! Jimin has stated that Taeyoung is his influence. This is basically, him getting to work with his idol. And once you go down the Big Bang rabbit hole... you are just not okay. To be honest, Paradigm is not one of my favourites. The sound in the chorus, the one that you talked about, doesn't really fit with the singing and is too loud, at least that's what I feel about it. I wouldn't skip the song but I wouldn't intentionally look for it in my playlist either. That said, Halazia has blown my mind! To me it's perfect in every way! The story, the lyrics, the visuals, the production quality, the singing, the dancing, the emotions... Wow! If you are interested, the dance practice video just came out today. I can definitely recommend it, seeing the choreo like that is breathtaking!
