The Irish Guy reacts to Gameweek 7 of the Premier League, where Arsenal beat Southampton, Manchester United took a draw at Aston Villa and Manchester City beat Fulham. Business enquiries: irishguybusiness@gmail.com
Think it would be better to include the predictions both you and the guest made during this vid. Adding their points up as you go. Think it would make it more interesting!
@@AJARyan-yn2uv yeah it’s weird. If Ward-Prowse didn’t get punished for it then sure that’s cheating. But he did what he did and got punished and saved his team a big point.
Yeah, his logic isn't even consistent because a "cheeky tactical foul" is just as much cheating at what JWP did. Also following that logic every foul could be considered "cheating" which is nonsense
As a Celtic fan I adore Big Ange really I do, but I was surprised that someone as far up the EPL food chain as Tottenham took a chance on him. For the simple reason there's isn't a situation where he'll change his tactics. We played Real Madrid away and played inverted overlapping full backs, lost 5-1. In 2021 we were 2-1 up away to Leverkusen in the EL with 8 minutes to go and he was throwing players forward, lost 3-2. Elite managers have a strong philosophy but they can adapt to the situation when required.
I'm a Gunner mate, I reckon the Spuds should give Ange a contract for life. We don't even have to bother playing to beat them anymore, just set up the deck chairs and wait for Bukayo to win a corner. Their keeper is the worst I've ever seen at corners, and I've seen David James play... The thing about the Prem is though is you can't give other teams chances, you're not supposed to keep a highline when the opposition is in crossing or shooting range, and in possession.
The JWP red card, you’ll find at the very least 90% of Forest fans are perfectly fine with it. We got the point when it could’ve easily been 0, but also could’ve easily been all 3 because of it. He saved a point and took one for the team. I’m happy with that and most Forest fans would be too
As an Everton fan the reason we aren’t a fan of Gordon anymore is because once he had offers from the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle he refused to come to training 4 days in a row and every game after he looked like he Couldn’t care less and since leaving he has said a few things about us and has been twerking for a move to Liverpool the past 6 months. Other than that he used to be a fan favourite.
But obviously a Newcastle fan wouldn't know stuff like that and just sprouts nonsense because he wears his club's shirt. We'll see how much he likes Gordon if Gordon gets a job offer from a Champions league club and Newcastle don't make the Champions league again
Ward-Prowse did the right thing. Win at all costs and do whatever you can. Take the red and move on. Luis Suarez, Fede Valverde a couple of years ago, etc. took one for the team and it paid off. Even if my team suffers from it, fair play to anyone having the guts to put himself on the line for the team.
Guys I know Slot is at the top of the PL table but it might be a bit early to judge considering the only teams he’s played ended last season with a negative goal difference (or were promoted), let’s just see what happens when he plays properly serious PL teams (especially since he struggled through Crystal palace (18th) and wolves (20th) in his last two games)
I think everyone was laughing at people who predicted Man U to not lose, but if there's one thing Ten Haag's Man U is capable of, it's getting an unlikely result when his job is on the line. It's why he needs to stay. Definitely until the next international break. And I'm definitely not saying this because I'm a Chelsea fan.
Same with wolves as well, imo if u had no context and had to recommend a man to keep wolves up in the situation they’re in you’d probably say Gary O’Neil cuz of his record lol.
That moment when a win against someone the irish guy was calling overhyped is being mentioned to raise the status of lopetegui on the same breath as arne slot and simeone
Liverpool's leftover side does seem decent, but alot to be desired still. Jurgen seemed tired at the end of his tenure and kinda let it fizzle out, but there are just some problems he nor Klopp can fix in the team. Might be terrifying if they open the bank in January, though.
I respect what ward prowse did, i think so long as you accept the red card it's fair. No I wouldn't like it against my club but if you are a player you have to make a split second decision for the club or country you love I don't blame you for doing anything but I don't respect when they try to get away with the cheating. Do whatever you can so long as you don't endanger the other players career but don't try to act like nothing happened. Give your all and show it with pride don't hide away.
Luis Suarez vs Ghana-- 1) The foul was non-existence. The Ghanian player fell down with the closest Uruguayan player six feet away. 2) There was an off-side in the scramble which wasn't called, and 3) Somehow people are still mad at Luis Suarez.
Lad Ratboy (Gordon) went on strike to force through his move of course the club is going to despises him plus they should've had a pen down the other game Everton were robbed
A player in a red shirt slipping and giving possession to an african player for chelsea yeah there was no way ward-prowse was going to let that happen again. 😂
The difference between Rooney and that ginger smack ed is that Rooney never refused to play, or skip training to try and force a move. If anything, Rooney was forced out of the club because we needed the money, not because he wanted out.
u don't know arsenal if ur predicting 8 goals records against a promoted side, m sorry to say. next week irrespective of the quality of opponent is more important. Gone are the days of cruising in ucl group stages. For arsenal it's mightily important after injuries even with squad depth since they also want to win a ucl, or a pl title, or both, but at least one of these.
Irish Guy, the problem is that all the while you still think that Jose Mourinho can still cut it, we can't trust your judgment regarding managerial ability...
WE ARE STILL GONNA SACK ETH Irish Guy. Trying to make it look like Man United did well in that poor 0-0 game against an Aston Villa team tired to bits after beating Bayern.
Anthony Gordon refused to turn up for 3 separate training sessions sulking his way out of the club. There is more to it im just not extremely knowledgeable
@@charskull We only turned on him when he deserved it by treating our club like trash. The kid did fuck all to help us in our relegation battle. Stropped around the pitch half of the games. He also wasnt the only one who had his car chased down. Yerry Mina also did and stepped out to assure the fans they were committed unlike the weasel who sat shitting himself in his car.
Horrible take on the james ward prowes one that was the best thing he could do A point is a point and could help them get european football or survive relegation who knows I remember that barcelona vs real betis game where the ball went over the line but didnt count barca lost the league by two points and since barca won the el classico they would have won the league That ward prowse play could be huge who knows you got to do everything for the win
Irish Guy, I know you like to dump all over Gary O'Neil but the guy has had a horrible fixture list and a board who have regularly sold his best players and given him bang average ones in return. Who else has had to play all of the top 6 teams from last season in the opening 8 fixtures?! His next match is against Man City, another 0 points. I'd say you have to give him until at least the end of November to get them to 16th or something. By the way, O'Neil scored 5 more points last season than Lopategui did 2 seasons ago but finished 3 positions lower. Lopategui's Wolves could not score - 31 goals all season is appalling, O'Neil's team scored 50 while conceding 7 more.
