Remix said in his own reaction video that Zer0 deliberately cancelled his beat and switched to tkk because he knew Remix would counter the hollow lip roll. He countered the tkk regardless 🤣
I can actually attend to the neck hypertrophy affecting your bass frequencies - my neck grew 3 inches in diameter since I started training (most of which happened in the last year because I was spamming zercher stuff - recently worked up to 280kg zercher hold). I've been beatboxing for 4+ years and I think the biggest improvement in my vocal basses happened right around when my neck became bigger
I'm a fan of beatboxing since the Got Talent " MJ" beatboxer. never was skilled in it. but i was always impressed and still am as I can also understand theory and the lonely places all beatboxers have been in to dedicate themselves on it
Bro not ego to admit you are great in beatbox and for even you its hard. When people see you as one of the best of all time you are being so humble which is admirable really. Such a great lad haha
just because its 4-1 doesnt mean its not a close battle. for all we know the judges could've really had a hard time deciding between the two beatboxers. This battle is insanely close even if it ends up being 5-0.
Something I really like about Remix is that he's an expert inward bass user like Inertia and Vocodah, but he's also EXTREMELY consistent with his beats and brings a level of technicality that I don't see much of from the other two in recent events. While inward bass is a staple of his style, I don't feel like he's restricted to just doing inward bass in battles in the same way that the other two inward bass gods are. In the Haten battle, both Vocodah and Inertia's performances seemed inconsistent to me in ways that Remix's just doesn't. Not that they were bad and not that I could do better (I'm huge fans of both) - it's just that I feel that they weren't as clean/the timing wasn't as good as they could've been. Every time I've seen Remix battle, he's been consistent, strong, and skilled. His beats may not be the most original in the beatbox scene, but they're certainly crowd pleasers. He really has a TON of potential, and even if he doesn't win this year's GBB, he's gonna win GBB at some point - mark my words!
I wish Remix would try new things instead of doing the same stuff all the time, don't get me wrong I get that having your own style is good but with Remix it's so insanely predictable.
@@thefarrage Sure but one can only hear a half-time drop with Inward bass, meow squeak and the nose tap thing so many times before it becomes boring and predictable
Dude’s a surgeon now. He’s gotta full time job saving/improving people’s lives. The fact he qualified and got to a battle round while juggling that kind of work is already pretty dang impressive.
Imo the first 35 seconds of Zero`s second round killed himself, doing such a Long and extremely simple introduction that takes up more than 35% of your round gives me a feeling he underestimated Remix, because if he mixed the beats he did after throughout the whole 1:30 round it would feel more balanced and less wasted. Remix used about 100% of his both rounds creating more value for himself as well as bringing more energy than Zero
i get it might be hard to do some of the stuff but remix just really lacks a lot of musicality and flow, it just seems a bit dead in the water a lot of the time. He has to get away from this idea that he can just do a random bit of bass to win. its just a random bit of bass - bit of beatboxing without flow - slightly diff bass that doesn't really fit any flow and so on.
dlow doesnt read comments if you do dlow then i dare you to reply to me, how'd you have so much deep knowledge about beatbox and music have you taken courses, read books, or wot else coz you are the Nemesis of your opponent in battles Thank You, I love you ❤ (prolly thousands of hours just listening to beatbox like a zombie and critically analysing the shit out of every second, every beat, pattern to the end) and yeah i expect dlows reply to be the least possible event to occur he doesnt read comments
It's as if Zero's goal was to study beatboxing in depth and in depth. And he chooses to break it down instead of putting himself less in the box of the artist who comes to offer an accessible composition, to offer a model of his studies and his way of using them to fight 💢 Very inspiring and groovy and a figure of the big beatboxers that I dream of seeing more on a fight scene ⭐
