@Big John Boatright Yeah that's why I never considered it bad album, I usually like country by it's self so I didn't like "There a man in the woods" but the way the instruments and sounds are entwined is beautiful. I have been listening to it and have been noticing little things I didn't catch before, and have actually been enjoying myself. I'm glad you told me to give it another try.
the dad was way too calm over the phone when the daughter was telling him about the man outside ,I just knew the father had knew what she was talking about and knew what to do because it seemed like he had already went through that situation before the kids, and what I found strange is how when the dad got there he grabbed the mirror and the man went inside it like how did you know that he was out of the mirror and needed to go back in like ion know something don't seem right about the father.
Dee, regarding your bullying comment... I don't know what schools you went to, but I was bullied so bad in school that it still affects me as an adult. Kids are mean and cruel.
What could've made don't look away better at the end in my opinion: it builds up and then you see the creepy guy standing in the woods with the mom completely ripped to shreds
If I was in the sister's shoes in Don't Look Away, I would keep staring at it anyway. I really wouldn't trust the bro to keep an eye on the monster. For all I know, he could've been purposefully looking away as a "joke" to mess with me
If u want a good horror movie, I recommend hereditary and midsommar. They both have no jump scares and are very different from other horror movies. They both are more disturbing/creepy than other films.
I feel the same way about horror movies. I have such high standards for that genre that most of them fall flat for me. I really recommend The Others, with Nicole Kidman for anyone who hasnt seen it. The ending is so good and totally worth the wait.
In don't look away Dad: hi kids i know you were just attacked and could've been killed by some demonic being that i knew about and failed to tell you how to protect yourselves when you encountered it, you and your brother deserve a horrible explanation but we'll talk about it tomorrow, now lets have lunch.
horror short films are more about how intriguing it can make the audience in the mid part, endings are prioritised to end it as if it will have a sequel and start it as if you started watching a movie in between a scene
